VH - Gran Ventana Beach Resort

We were in this hotel from July 24 -Aug 1 and I would NOT RECOMMEND. So many things wrong with this resort that for the amount of money that they charge per night it is definitely NOT worth it. First we were a group of 19 people on a family vacation and one of our rooms was looking to extend an extra night and front desk did not accommodate and was rude about it. the drinks were made with the cheapest alcohol you can find, the food had a very limited selection (but taste wise wasn't horrible), the rooms could use an update, the property itself needs more care. We had no hot water for an entire day because a pipe burst and they blocked the entrance for two days into our building so we had to go around. We also had mosquitoes in our room coming in through the bathroom vents. The weekend was horrible as it was extremely crowded with locals that were rowdy and a fight broke out def not the experience we were expecting. Do your homework and find something else because this was not it! at least not for us. we will not be returning here. only positive thing was entertainment guys that made it tolerable for us. (thank you Henry and Carlos) also, did not like that house keeping were made to wear maid outfits (not cool)

This hotel falls short of its online advertisements and is far from being a 4 or 4.5-star resort. The staff is inadequately trained, and management is often unavailable to handle escalated issues. The food quality is subpar for an all-inclusive resort, with limited options and occasional restaurant closures, forcing guests to rely on the buffet despite promises of multiple dining choices. The liquor at the bars is of low quality, and the cocktails are poorly made. On the positive side, the grounds are well-maintained, the pools are pleasant, and there is private security on-site. However, I would not recommend this resort and will definitely not be returning.
