Sheraton Santo Domingo

This hotel was not worth the $1600 price tag I paid for 9 nights. Let’s first go over service. Staff was wonderful! They were very friendly, always looking to help out, asking if we needed anything, just top tier service. No complaints about service. The rooms were ok. Seemingly clean but the carpet in our room was filthy! Not only was it stained all over the place you could tell that it had not been thoroughly vacuumed in some time. For $1600 I expected a much cleaner carpet. Food options were just ok and I thought most of the food was severely overpriced. Add to the fact that vegan/vegetarian options were slim pickings, it was very disappointing. We ended up finding a vegan restaurant nearby where we ate dinner regularly. WiFi was great and never had a problem staying connected. The power did go out several times during our stay but never stayed down for long. The pool area is lovely but again for the price I paid I expected thicker, nicer pool towels and the ones we got were more threadbare than anything. We stayed here because I was having a surgical correction done at a nearby clinic and it’s centrally located. But I feel it was severely overpriced for what we actually got. I expected better from the Sheraton brand and it was disappointing.

The order was not found abroad, and I waited for an hour to process it. It was said that it was paid on delivery. It was a newly opened store... The facilities were old, and the air conditioner was as loud as a tank. I didn't sleep all night.
