Stayed here in October 2024. Stunning location if you want to be separate from the general public. Amazing garden walks. Free shuttle to and from main entrance of Montazah, shuttles drivers really polite and delightful. Reception staff at front of house were not very helpful or welcoming. Website booking also unavailable, need to call hotel if wanting to book Egyptian resident rate.
Beach access is poor, no beds on sand itself. Quite dirty water, would recommend accessing beach from next door at the boat club. Rooms clean and good size. Bathroom shocking, shower over bath, shower curtain unclean, no ability to stop water from flooding bathroom floor while showering. No other option offered. Breakfast good, wait staff in meal areas were very professional and friendly, hospitable and welcoming. Recommended booking pool and sea view room.

Is a really old building that needs a lot of love. The mattress is a rock and could barely sleep. Food is really bad, either the breakfast buffet or the a-la-carte restaurants. Stayed here a couple of nights just because is the hotel the company I work for uses. For sure there should be better options in Alexandria.

I CAN CALL IT WORST EXPIERIENCE EVER!!!!!
It was on of my fav. Hotels , but today i experienced a weird situation one of the staff opened my room 3 am in the morning and was about to enter then he rcognized i'm wake up and there is a chair behind the door .. the chair fell on the ground and he closed the door ...... i called police and they said it was one if the night shift managers checking the vacant rooms and by mistake he thought my room is a vacant one !!!!!!!!!!! I can call worst experuence i ever .. i didn't sleep till the morning .. i disn't feel its a safe place ...
Then in the morning i packed my bags and left the hotel
Till now i can't imagine that a stranger was about to enter my room 3 am ....

I've been here before many years ago and the hotel was very old. More recently I came to the area and there was a lot of construction. Now I stayed for a day and have to say that I was very pleased. There is hardly any construction in the gardens. The hotel might not be 5 stars condition but it surely isn't run down and the rooms were big, clean and nice. Finally the location is super. If you want to go to a place to relax and stay on a peaceful beach all day, this is the place.

Perfect hotel for an Alexandria getaway that truly lives up to the "Royal" name from the minute you walk in you feel like you enter an oasis of luxury and tranquil. Premises are spotless clean and very well maintained. Rooms could use a tiny bit of refurbishment but nevertheless they are very clean and comfortable with the most amazing views. Breakfast is good with multiple options all made with high quality ingredients. Beach is also very nice for an afternoon swim and some sun probably the best beach experience within Alexandria city limits in comparison to other hotel beaches. Staff are very well trained and corteous always looking after their guests without being pushy. Bonus bit is that the hotel offers free tours to locations inside montazah palace such as the royal tea island which is a very nice experience.

It is a wonderful hotel, with an outstanding location and amazing staff. The restaurants are clean and have many choices, the pool is clean and the beach is very good. The rooms are also very tidy and are worth the price. Really recommended for business and tourism trips.

I visited this hotel on my three week long trip to Egypt. We were staying here for five days. I was looking forward greatly to the pool(s) and beach and was very excited to see what they looked like. I arrived to my room and was immediately disappointed. The beach is dirty and the floor is lined with seaweed. The pool is very small but it is heated at least. Aside from the beach, there were also some issues with the room as well. When we arrived to the room, we found a cell phone that was dead and multiple other things that signified that the room was not cleaned well. Overall not a good experience. Was severely disappointed and will not come again.

I stayed in the hotel in late June 2024 for 2 nights. I chose the place for the location and the sea view . Staff was great. The gym is very bad, completely dysfunctional and dangerous to be in. Air condition not working, no tissues or wipes let alone towels, machines are not working, weights are not organized, dust on machines, tv is not working. Machines are very old, not maintained and dangerous to use and attached together with tapes. Not sure how this could be the case in 5 star hotel. There is a safety issue here. Not going again.

When I arrived, I was shocked at how the swimming pool is small, and also the beach area they rent the adjacent beach for people from outside. The sea water is full of dirt. The towels were stained and torn. Breakfast was good. No food or drink services at the beach after 10!!

Superb view from the room! The room is very clean, the staff were great and sent us a cake for my husband’s birthday. The garden is very beautiful. The location is nice if already know alexandria otherwise it’s a little bit far from the center
