For a 5 star hotel I would have expected much nicer rooms and overall service. The room/ furniture looked very old and shower was poorly designed - it did not have a cover to block water from spraying onto the floors.

The garden area was nice to walk in and they had some nice plants / animals.

While the pool was really nice to relax in, the waiters were very slow with their service, and their attitudes would change when the cheque came as they would try to get a tip. The breakfast was decent with a nice view and some of the staff were quite friendly.

An affordable way to stay in the same grounds as the Winter Palace and to enjoy the same facilities as guests of that hotel.

The Pavillion Winter hotel is a cheaper and more modest property. The rooms are basic and have a bit of wear and tear, but the garden view from the balcony is lovely, so it was a great hotel to have a stopover on the way to Aswan - but there are nicer, modern, hotels in Luxor that I would probably opt for if I was staying for longer.

Staff were very attentive and helpful. Breakfast was ok but nothing more.

We did not stay in the hotel but enjoyed 3 hours looking round the main building, gardens and having a drink in the Royal Bar. Staff were very professional and had a great knowledge of the history of the building. Well worth a visit, surprisingly the Sakara beer I had in the bar was cheaper than other locations in Luxor. The gardens are extensive and contain numerous plants, shrubs and trees, probably the best garden in Luxor. Also there are some peacocks and Flamingos.

Incredibly WOW. Best location ( walkable distance to Luxor Temple) , market place and Nile river opposite to the hotel. Worth the money. Also I had dinner in the Palace and it was mouth watering, mostly had French cuisines and wines.

Of all many hotels we stayed in various towns of Egypt, I remember this one because we had breakfast at tables facing the lovely open garden. On the second morning of our stay (mid December 2024), a wait staff handed me a basil leaf from the garden which smelt so pungent. It made a great start of my day. But then I also encountered a so-so serviceman at breakfast buffet who stood ignorantly watching me struggled with bread cutting. It seems that service training has rooms to improve. Apart from the impressive and not-so-impressive examples, the stay was overall satisfactory. The bedrooms we had were comfortable, with splendid views looking through the hotel’s front garden. A relax and quiet stay. Recommended for Thai travellers who prefer quiet luxury.

Fabulous stay. Best breakfast buffet. Wonderful service all around. Huge rooms. The grounds/gardens are a safe haven from the intensity of Luxor. Right across from the marina and Nile. Perfect starting location for our felucca sunset cruise and Balloon sunrise flight. They'll make a breakfast box for early mornings. Beautiful pool that sadly closes at sunset. The laundry service was great. Walking distance to everything if you can get people to leave you alone and let you walk. It's easier to pay $2 for a carriage ride. Bank right beside the Winter Palace entrance has a guarded room of ATMs. We had trouble with the ones inside WP. Thankful for the security entrance.

The hotel is in a great location for getting to Luxor Temple and the museums. The pool is also great for relaxing after getting up early to see the sights. The rooms are VERY dated and feels like staying in a 3 star hotel. Could do with some renovations.

I strongly recommend this Amazing hotel. Loved it sooooo much. The rooms are so big and comfortable with wonderful view of flowery garden. The service and staff are top proffetional. The breakfast in the morning at the garden is just perfect and the price is very reasonable.

Good to return for my annual stay at the Winter Pavillon, everything was perfect as usual.
An enjoyable breakfast to start my day, a nicely furnished room with good wifi connection for my work, and wonderful, well maintained gardens.

The hotel is in a good location next to the Luxor Temple. The staffs are always friendly and welcoming. What I particularly liked was the breakfast. It had a good variety and started from as early as 5:30AM. It allowed us to have a early start and avoided some heat during the middle of the day.

One thing to note is that there were a lot of people at the main entrance trying to sell you something. If you want to avoid the hassle, you can search for “Winter Palace Pavillon Parking entrance” on Google Map to go through the back door when you are arriving by car or leaving by your own taxi.
