And the surrounding area had a different atmosphere in the afternoon
I booked a twin room but was given a double instead. This was not what I had requested and caused significant inconvenience.
When I asked for an extra duvet to make the best of my stay, I was told that none were available. Instead, I was given a blanket to sleep under, which was far from satisfactory.
What truly baffled me was when the manager asked me to leave the hotel simply for expressing my dissatisfaction. The receptionist was rolling her eyes during our conversation, which made me feel dismissed and unvalued. Instead of addressing my concerns, the manager chose to escalate the situation rather than support me as a guest.
Overall, my experience was far from satisfactory. I would not recommend this hotel.
While I appreciate the hotel's response, I'd like to update my review to clarify some aspects l that I believe do not accurately reflect my experience.
Regarding the Booking.com reservation we booked a twin room and mentioned this when requesting an extra duvet for context.
After several requests, we only received two blankets. These were given to me at reception and were insufficient for comfortable sleeping for myself and my daughter.
Contrary to the response, during our telephone conversation we were informed to leave the following day after expressing dissatisfaction. We chose to depart immediately due to a lack of resolution.
We left our bags at lunchtime and checked in later in the day, which is when we first requested a duvet.
While I understand the perception of my disappointment, the staff demeanor felt dismissive from our first request, even though you were not there. This made us feel uncomfortable. However, we appreciate the apology before leaving.
If requesting basic amenities and providing honest feedback is considered disrespectful, I believe there's a potential misunderstanding of customer service.
My only concern was receiving the requested bedding, voicing dissatisfaction, and leaving a review.
