Tips for others: Get to the pool early for the best loungers. If you want morning sun, get a sea-view room. For evening sunsets, go for a marina view
It's pretty average. Aside from being next to the sea and in a relatively central location, there's nothing else I can recommend.
Best hotel in Alicante Amazing views to the beach and the city
It is part of the Valencia Autonomous Region and is also a famous holiday resort. Must-see attractions in Alicante: • Castillo de Santa Bárbara: overlooking the
Friday night there was music from several open air night clubs near the beach until at least 3am. Hip hop music and DJ banter blasting all night long for several nights. This was an absolute horror for families with kids
The location is perfect and the service is professional. However the facility is a little bit old. The bed is also not so comfortable enough for a 4-star hotel.

The smaller pool and sun bathing area is now not exclusive to Suites Del Mar guests and now feels crammed and is hard to get a sun lounger which meant we ended up going to the beach most days
Couldn’t believe the size of the suite and the bath in the window was an added luxury. so easy to walk to the centre. All of the staff were outstanding especially the lady at the restaurant Nuria
However on our recent visit we were very disappointed with a few of the changes that have been made after the recent upgrade work completed at the first floor pool area
we were treat like royalty and had the best time. Breakfast was another level … nothing at all could be faulted even cava and we had our own little vip area. highly recommend staying here
Just returned from a girls weekend in Alicante. What a beautiful hotel this is. On arrival a couple of the rooms were ready so we could check in
The breakfast area that has been moved from the first floor where Suites Del Mar guests used to eat which has now been moved outside the dining area on the ground floor again does not feel exclusive even if there is a small menu on the table which allows you to order an omelet or the choice of another few items

Location was great and the room was clean. However the heating in the hotel is too high. Even if the heater was not turned on, the room was too warm. It got better when they switched to ac instead
The room had everything I needed and was comfortable. This is a good quality place to stay.
More flexibility should be given for temperature control
Everything was well, but the TV couldn’t connect to the WiFi. So we wasn’t able to watch Netflix
A large hotel with a very good location. The rooms and the hotel as a whole were clean, but untidy - there are quite a few small defects everywhere, which make an unpleasant impression on the guests
They have continental breakfast, but on the third day, I am start to get bored with it. They don't have so much variety of breakfast. The bus stops from the airport just minutes away from the hotel

The beds are comfy and the hotel is quiet at night, breakfast was better than expected and was plentiful. Highly recommended place to stop
The hotel is conveniently located near supermarkets and restaurants
I really staying in this hotel. Staff was very helpful and  kind for me,good area, room was bigger than i expect, cleaning not wake you up,if you have "no disturb"on the door
Spacious room and good breakfast with lots of choice. My recent stay there was no WiFi for 24 hours , everybody needs WiFi these days when travelling
The room was very spacious, and there's a small gym and sauna. The front desk staff were super friendly, and the location is excellent – close to both the city center and the beach
Amazing stay and great location. Hotel staffs were very friendly and welcoming

Excellent! The hotel is clean and very comfortable. Very good breakfast and dinner, with quality products. There's a bus stop right at the hotel entrance that takes you to the city in 30 minutes
This is an excellently appointed hotel, close to the beach (although not quite there), but not your usual Mediterranean beach hotel, much classier
Make sure to choose a room with a terrace to be in the new building, which is much more pleasant than the old one that has no balcony and is a bit out of the way
Excellent dinner and one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in for a whole, breakfast was busy but again very worth it
I was running the marathon in Valencia and needed to keep my diet plain and clean, for anyone else doing something similar in the future I would say that the breakfast and the dinner are sufficient to correct carb load if that's what you need to do
It was still good but a bit too expensive, we felt a bit too compelled to order paid drinks and there wasn't really anything I needed from the drink menu, I didn't like this

Excellent hotel in Alicante Excellent hotel in Alicante close to the golf and the beach San Juan, with superb breakfast and parking included
Excellent experience, good breakfast, close to the beach!
7 Months work with Events Team and Reservations Team all came together to Provide an amazing experience for over 200 Guests from all over the World to Meet together and Celebrate
It's not suitable for tourism; it's quite far from the city center and tourist attractions, and it's not the kind of large golf resort I imagined.
Great hotel and convenient for transport to Alicante and Benidorm without the commercial bits. Very non tourist area apart from the golf.
Hotel and all the staff were exceptional throughout the 7 days. Could not thank them enough, everyone went home Happy

The room was small but sufficient and the location is good. The pool was very busy and without much shade. The jacuzzi was much appreciated.
Very good stay here, room very nice and clean as you would expect. Staff friendly helpful and efficient. Good facilities roof pool and bar with good views. Seperate hot tub and Turkish bath at the small but good gym
Everything was beautiful! We really liked it.
Excellent bath tub, Korres toiletries, comfy bed, great variety of food for breakfast and super attentive staff. Lovely jacuzzi, sauna and a rooftop swimming pool
Located in a quiet neighbourhood the hotel is just a 15 min walk into the hustle and bustle of the city and the beach
Poor location and average level of services (whilst the room rate has nearly doubled in the last 7 years) ; the only advantage is the rooftop pool but considering the rates these days for the level of service and amenities (you have to beg to get a few coffee sachets in the room, no water bottle etc

Nice hotel, nice room view, clean rooms, polite maids, some, of the staff though didn't even try to speak English. Must be a common thing in Spain though. Nice outdoor pool with plenty of space for sunbathing
Got the room towards the back (It has a large balcony, but the sea view is really just very partial) Still, the room, was spotless clean. Beds were ok comfy, not great, not terrible
The Hotel Castilla Alicante has a spacious room with terrace and a renovated bathroom with rain shower. It is located 150 meters from the beach and surrounded by shops and restaurants
Bedside cabinet drawers not easy to open and as the cabinet was on wheels it always moved when trying to open. Room was very clean and spacious. No smoking around the pool or in the outside communal areas
Bathroom was newly renovated, very nice shower. Aircon (for heating) worked very well. No fridge (just for those really wanting one) Location is good, 5min from Tram stops, 3min from the beach
Good place, actually only thing that brings the score down is the lack of isolation in the rooms. Especially the showers/toilets

Get to see the sunrise at breakfast which is a novelty. The rooms are good, provided you get a sea view, although floors 2-3 are more desirable as there is a garage infront at ground floor level.
The food tastes really nice and to a very good price. The staffs were so kind, helpful and very quick to make the food. Here we want to highlight Jimmy, Kelvin Monica and for being ekstra kind to us
Not bad~ but if you eat in the room and don't clean up the garbage, there will be ants
The staff are lovely, especially the restaurant staff - Monica, Laura, James, Selin, Aleja and of course the chef Naty. My Spanish isn't great but the staff were super helpful and kind
Friendly and helpful staff who added to our overall experience at the hotel. They gave us a room upgrade, with sea views and the room had everything needed for our one night stay
Overall the hotel was clean, clam and very smiling and sweet staffs

Friendly staff, 2 mins from the beach and harbour. A few mins from all the good bars and restaurants. The rooftop pool was great to relax in. Modern decor throughout and even free popcorn in the afternoon in reception.
Also the bar upstairs had such fun drinks! Breakfast was great every morning, we especially loved the fancy Nespresso machines and the chocolate donuts hehe
First time in Alicante we weren’t sure what to expect but this hotel was great! The staff were so nice and the room was perfect
Although we went there off-peak season so not a lot of things were open in the hotel we still very much enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and well equipped
Truly enjoy the stay in a well-maintained apartment with good amenities and in a good location. Double-glazing windows helped to dampen the street noise during busy period. Host is very responsive to questions.
The buffet breakfast was tasy and plenty of food to choose from. It is located in a very quite neighbourhood but very close to everything. The beach is just down the road and also the city center is really close too

In the morning, the sun ☀️ climbs into the room and the air is filled with the fragrance of the blue sea. I will stay again next time live here
I really liked the view from the 15th-floor window; it was a beautiful panorama. We were surprised that the bathroom only had soap, shower gel, and shampoo in large jars, no slippers, and no drinking water
We are very happy with this lovely hotel. The position beside the marina and old town is superb. The view from our balcony on the 23rd floor is amazing, looking straight at the castle and marina
The price was only for the view. The breakfast was okay, even good. You could eat cheaper in cafes
Very comfortable bed, room large with sofa and tv, shower good
Great location and value for money--lifts can be a bit scary if you are not 100% confident in using them--but they are fine if a little noisy and only 2 of them - hotel clean and daily cleaning of room was very good

The staff were excellent from the moment we arrived. All the facilities are in excellent condition: the pool, the room, the dining room, the reception. The breakfast was also outstanding in terms of quality and variety
Super good morning, I'm here. It has everything close by, bars, shops, the beach, the bus stop to go to the airport. I loved it. Super nice.
It is located next to the Santa Barbara Castle and can be reached in just 20 minutes on foot. There is a bus stop to the airport nearby, just a 3-minute walk away
We had specified a vegetarian option, but we received a ham sandwich, a can of pâté, and a can of tuna 🤣🤣🤣 Yes, tuna, pâté, and ham! When you ask for a vegetarian breakfast, you're bound to lose it!
We were very disappointed with the takeaway breakfast we ordered on the morning of our departure
It takes about 18 minutes to walk to the city center, and you can enjoy the Mediterranean Sea and the beach along the way. The staff are polite and the breakfast is very rich

In terms of location, about a 30 minute walk from town centre, but very useful if coming from the airport as it's only 15/20 minutes away by car (taxis are relatively cheap from this location to the airport)
Gym was nice, bedroom big enough and well kept. There was rust in the bathtub though.
Would definitely recommend and would return if I were to visit Alicante again
Very good hotel, good location, great environment
Otherwise, the room is OK, and breakfast is quite OK for short stays but thends to be repeatable. The room cleaning service is not that good. We found our pajamas tossed over a bag, though we left them on the bed
The breakfast staff were pleasant. I complained about the lack of vegetables for breakfast, and they stepped up their game the next day with a vegetable dish

The hotel is easy to find, only 3 mins walk to city centre and staffs are friendly and kind enough to help you.
Not as bad as the reviews state I got a nice clean room and everything worked the bathroom was also clean. Lots of space in the single room for a single traveller
The only problem with the room was a small stain in the bath and a broken socket. They man working at the reception understood English well. The location is great as it is pretty much in the middle of Alicante
The staff were very helpful whenever I needed assistance. I chose this hotel for its location near the train station and the tram, and it couldn’t have been more convenient. The breakfast add-on is inexpensive too
This is a budget priced hotel and people need to set their expectations accordingly. If you are looking to spend a lot of time in the hotel then this isn’t the place for you Because it doesn’t have those amenities
The hotel was clean and nice, greatly situated with all the facilities nearby. The only thing that bothered me is that the room was really small, like a closet, all the space was in the bathroom

Great location, friendly and helpful staff, only downside is the floor cleanness can be improved, but I would still recommend.
Room was big, bright, and spotlessly clean, as indeed was the whole hotel. Excellent friendly staff, and excellent location
I must admit, I was initially hesitant to book a stay at this hotel, with a rating of 4. However, the photos looked very promising, and the location seemed ideal, so I decided to trust my instincts—and I’m so glad I did
Absolutely stunning hotel, lovely staff and a lovely relaxing location. The only one tiny thing I can comment on is the breakfast, although it all looked beautiful, it wasn’t what we are used to being from Ireland
My room was exceptionally spacious, spotless, and tastefully decorated. The location is truly magnificent—everything is within walking distance, making it incredibly convenient for exploring Alicante
This hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. The property is beautifully designed, combining a modern aesthetic with elegant touches of stone walls that add character and charm

The 24-hour front desk offers luggage storage and can arrange airport taxis for early flights. The buffet breakfast is excellent, with a wide variety of options and fresh fruit
The hotel is nicely finished, the service is ok. However, the hotel is located in an old tenement house, so outside noise can penetrate the room.
Travelled solo, had a great experience in the city, what a beautiful place and the hotels location was perfect, staff very helpful and the rooms are very spacious and comfortable.
Receptionist very helpful and knowledgeable. The whole hotel is immaculately clean , rooms bright airy and modern , lovely bathroom. Easy access anywhere to surrounding bars & tapas
One of the best experiences! Very good location. Nice restaurant in the square just outdoor! In the heart of the city - easy to get to any points of interest

This is key if you stay here in December/winter. Many places will have old windows and will be very cold. Mine still smells like a new one. With luxurious spa like soap, shampoo, towels. Location is just at the beach
I chose it because it is not city center (which is too crossed for me), or the other side of town in the opposite direction, where the wind is much stronger and architecture/buildings look less taken care of
I chose this hotel after a very bad Airbnb experience in December 2025. This hotel has Exceeded my expectations on every item. It has absolutely lovely , kind and caring people who work here
I told them over the phone about the temperature issue with my Airbnb flat, and they set my room at higher temperature before i even came there. Rooms have been newly renovated
I wish the owners and people who work here that their dedication is really rewarded with many clients who appreciate how well managed and how beautiful this place is ❤️❤️❤️🍀🍀🍀

Not a bug or ant in sight The hotel is in a residential area but has a beach 2 minutes down the hill but no beach amenities. Buses run every 20 minutes to Alicante for 1 euro 50. The stop is outside the hotel
We ate our evening meals from the varied menu from traditional Spanish to burgers. The room was lovely, clean and maintained twice in our 4 day stay
Nice place, conveniently close to the Playa de San Juan. Breakfast was very good (incl water melon and other delicious fruits) and parking nearby is all free. People at the reception were very warm and helpful.
Great hotel and staff, Always stay here and will be back in the new year. great breakfast Clean rooms now on our 4th stay at the Boutique
The breakfast was adequate though the cooked items were not to our taste. The pool is small with only 16 sun beds. There was not a big demand for sun beds during our stay so we had no issues
The hotel is in a residential area and a fair distance from the main attractions. There is a bus stop nearby and the number 22 costs £1. 45 to get into the city centre or to the beach in the opposite direction

Stopping at some fantastic beaches and coastal towns on the way. The bus to Alicante airport stops almost just outside the hotel. The staff are extremely friendly and very accommodating with your requests
Stayed in this hotel for 5 days and had a very good experience. The staff was polite and welcoming. The bathroom only had shower gel and water and a plastic cup for washing, but no toothbrush or toothpaste
Excellent location, modern and clean rooms, very friendly staff. The only drawback was that the room faced the avenue and there was a lot of car noise. Otherwise, a great experience.
This is a nice little hotel in a great location. We were able to walk to the port, old town etc. Street parking was easily available, not free but 1. 80E for two hours plus after 8pm to morning was free
Excellent location for transport, not far to the train station and the main tram stop is a five minute walk, where you can catch the tram all the way up the coast to Dénia

Excellent location, but don’t expect any views as the streets are are narrow, also beware of local restaurant staff depositing bottles and rubbish late at night
It's location is convenient for many restaurants and bars as well as the beach and promenade
The room was clean, nice personnel, good location in the center on Explanada, very close to the beach. Loud though because of the active traffic right in front the window
The castle is in walking distance as is the central market and the shuttle bus from the airport drops you minutes away from the hotel. Perfect for a short break in this lovely town
While not a five star hotel I am giving it five stars because if the friendly an dhwlpful staff, the great central location and the clean and comfortable rooms
AC worked, great water pressure in the shower, two different people I spoke to at the front desk were both very nice. If you appreciate older buildings, you will love the stairs and elevator
