We had a fantastic experience at the AC Hotel Barcelona. The location is excellent, and we were lucky to have an ocean view that made our stay even more special. Our room was beautiful, with great amenities—including a minibar, a Nespresso machine, and everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
The breakfast was wonderful with plenty of fresh options, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. I had a small accident with my son—he dropped all his clothes in the water right before bath time, and we were leaving the next day. The staff kindly took his clothes, dried them, and returned them right away. That kind of service really made a difference.
I truly have nothing but good things to say. Great value, amazing service, and a perfect stay. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Barcelona!

Positives: Polite staff, pool deck with an amazing view, room and bathroom is stylish.
Negatives: AC barely worked, beds are uncomfortable and loud, the shared door between bedrooms means you can hear EVERYTHING your neighbor is doing, the shower water was intermittently warm.
Don’t come here thinking you are getting modern luxuries. The photos make it look like it is way more comfortable than it actually is.

The hotel is close to the mall and many restaurants. Its also closer to the port which was convenient since we were headed for a cruise in 2 days. The staff was nice and friendly. The rooms were clean but the hallways and areas could use some updating.

This was our last hotel during our honeymoon in Spain—it was the most expensive, but unfortunately, it ended up being our least favorite. We arrived around midnight, checked in without issue, but when we went to shower, there was only steaming hot water—no cold water at all. My husband went downstairs to report it, and they said they could send someone to fix it at 7 AM. At this point, it was already past 1 AM, and after a long day of travel, all we wanted was a shower and some rest. My husband asked for a new room, and they offered one with twin beds. Twin beds for a couple on their honeymoon? After some back-and-forth, they “found” a room with a queen bed.
Both rooms had oddly designed bathrooms, and water from the shower spread everywhere. Additionally, the hotel is quite a bit farther from the city center, and the clientele is mostly business travelers. A nice perk, though, was the rooftop. The drinks are overpriced, but the view of the city and beach was a nice touch.
If you're looking to be closer to the heart of the city and want a more relaxed, down-to-earth experience, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

Well we were expecting Marriott experience but…
No water in the lobby. We had a lady when we arrived and when we checked in at reception both not very nice.
Location was a bit far from the city center further then we had anticipated. We walked to the city center 45-1 hr
Hop on hop off bus did come close to the hotel which was helpful
The 3 stars is based on comparable Marriotts. We are only staying at Marriotts during our vacation.

It is located in the new district of Barcelona, with a clean environment and a large shopping mall and supermarket nearby, making it very convenient for shopping and eating. There is a tourist bus stop and a taxi stand at the door, and a taxi to the city center costs less than 20 euros.

I had a fantastic experience celebrating my birthday at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the excellent service. The night shift team went above and beyond to ensure a smooth check-in process. As a Platinum member, I was particularly grateful to Angie and her supervisor for arranging a room upgrade, which made my stay even more special.
The hotel truly captured the romance and warmth of Barcelona, adding a magical touch to my celebration. The attention to detail and the genuine care from the staff were remarkable. The hotel is convenient for traveling to and from the airport. As the weather is clear and sunny, strolling around the streets near the hotel is also very enjoyable. The hotel waiters are almost ready to respond to requests.

The swimming pool is very nice and has a beautiful view. There also places to work if you have already checked out and plenty of taxis in front. By default, we weren't given slippers so we probably should have brought out own
