I stayed at the SB Diagonal Zero 4-star Superior Hotel from Thursday, August 21, until August 28.
The location of the hotel is excellent, right next to the venue where I attended my conference. The Forum tram stop is literally at the doorstep, and the metro station is only about 50 meters away, making transportation extremely convenient. Across the street, there is a natural history museum and a beautiful tree-lined promenade. Diagonally across, you will find a large shopping mall, and if you want to shop at Carrefour, it’s only about five stops away by tram. Access to well-known tourist attractions is also very easy.
The hotel itself is a little bit older, but everything is very well maintained and clean. The rooms are spacious and comfortable; even though I was traveling alone this time, the space would be more than sufficient for two people. The breakfast offers a wide variety of choices, but if you want to experience local flavors, there are plenty of small restaurants nearby, as well as several eateries inside the shopping mall that open early in the morning.
Overall, if you are not looking for short-term rental apartments, this hotel is a great option for both business and leisure travel.

The location is a bit far out from the centre so when I went to eat at some restaurants near, it felt less touristic and unsafe. The reception queue was always extremely long and slow, even with two staff attending. A simple check in cost me 20 minutes of my time waiting. The spa is nice, however the massage room was cold, so although she did a good job, it should’ve been a bit warmer, they should account that people are naked and they should consider this.

The swimming pool at the top is the nicest part.

There was no extra blanket in my room so it was very cold. And also they didn’t help me with my many luggage’s upstairs, even thought they had luggage carts for the elevator right there.

I was staying at this hotel, planning for four days and while the property itself is nice, I was disappointed by the lack of basic complimentary amenities. Yesterday, I received two bottles of water and only one sachet of coffee (non-decaf). Today, no additional water, coffee, or milk were provided.

For a hotel of this rating, I expected at least daily refills of water and coffee, or at minimum the option to request them without extra charge. Having to buy water and coffee separately throughout my stay felt inconvenient and not up to the standard of a high-grade hotel experience.

The room was clean and comfortable, but the service in this area definitely fell short. A small improvement in hospitality—like replenishing these basic necessities—would make a big difference for future guests.

I stayed at this hotel for 10 days in August. My low rating is based on the fact that it's a 4.5-star hotel. On our first day, we were given a room with two separate beds. The room was beautiful, but the beds were broken. The next day, we were moved to another room... it had a double bed, but none of the amenities of the other room. The outlets were all on one side of the bed, and only one worked. The tub/shower area was terrible, the tub was so broken it looked dirty, the space to move around in the shower was full of soap dishes, and there was a step at the base where there was no way to comfortably stand without slipping or hurting yourself. I'm Italian, and we use a bidet, and even though there was a bidet in the room, there were only ever two towels. The cleaning staff would wake you up even if you put up a "do not disturb" sign. The lobby staff were very friendly when they greeted you, but afterward, they didn't even say hello. The card that serves as the key to the room and to activate the elevator, blocked me 6 times in 10 days and even though the lobby knew I was a guest and that I was frequently having problems with the card, they didn't give me any priority, each time I had to do it and wait for everyone in line to check in. Breakfast was the modest sum of €20 per person (or more). Good food, but no staff at the cafe. For €20 I had to drink a cappuccino made from a machine, disgusting to say the least. For an almost 5-star hotel, I was very disappointed!!!

The hotel's transportation is very convenient. The bus and subway are within walking distance. There is also a large shopping mall and natural history museum next to it. It is much more spacious than the city and not so crowded. The hotel's service response is still very fast.

The hotel is a bit far away. It takes half an hour to get to the city center by subway. The housekeeping is very sloppy. The toilet paper is not replenished after it is used up. I called the front desk and it was still not delivered to the room half an hour later. I called again but no one answered. I had to go downstairs to get the toilet paper myself. It is obvious that they are short of staff.

Stayed here for 4 nights, the rooms were really well equipped, had everything we needed and was clean. Asked if we could drop our bags early and they let us check in a few hours early free of charge. We thought the price of breakfast was a bit steep but there are some bakeries and shops nearby. Very close to tram/metro stops with easy links into the city centre. During the blackout they gave free drinks and a free packed lunch which was helpful as we had no cash with us. Rooftop pool is nice and sunny.
