Hostal Levante in Barcelona

I'm a woman in my 20s traveling solo. I stayed for four nights over the Obon holiday. Overall, I recommend this hotel! I'll definitely return when I visit Barcelona again!

◆Room and Hotel
As you can see from the photos, the room is small, about 15 tatami mats in size, but I was able to spread out my carry-on luggage and it was perfectly adequate for a solo traveler! In fact, I often find myself overwhelmed by larger hotels, so this was just right!

The bathroom was also clean, and the water pressure was excellent.

It's a small thing, but I really appreciated the convenience of being able to store items on the sink and having hooks nearby to hang my amenity pouch and towels.

There's staff at the front desk 24 hours a day, so you can ask any questions you might have. Every time you leave your key at the front desk, you can pick it up by showing a photo of it taken beforehand. For solo travelers, having fun every morning and night! Have fun! Welcome back! I was happy to hear such comments. ☺︎

◆Location and Access
There's a direct bus to the airport, and it's less than a 15-minute walk to Plaza Catalunya, where you can shop at Desigual and ZARA. Getting around with a carry-on bag wasn't a problem at all. There's a lot of foot traffic around the hotel, and it's only a couple of minutes to the famous restaurant street. It was also about a 10-minute walk to La Boqueria Market.

Barcelona is hot in the summer, and walking around for half a day can be exhausting, so being centrally located means I can easily return to the hotel for a break before heading out again.

Finally! On my first day, I was a little confused about how to open the door on the first floor, but pressing the intercom unlocked it for me, so I was able to get in. 🙆♀️

The hostel is excellent for short weekend stay due to location. It is located within walking distance to the see, most museums and bus stop for Aerobus. Staff are attentive and friendly. There is a possibility to leave luggage after checking out. 
The hostel is not suitable for light sleepers. Apart from that highly recommend!

Good location, but some guests are noisy

I had to catch a flight early in the morning, so I made a reservation, but the hotel itself
There was nothing to see at all, but the location was really good.
I had to leave my key when I went in and out, and it was a bit difficult to take the elevator
because there were floors that didn't go there, so I had a hard time carrying my bags.
Considering that the surrounding area was a bit noisy and dirty, it wasn't that great,
but it was good for a night.

Wonderful place , will stay again for sure

It was my first time in a hostel ans it was much better than expected! I had a private room (in 3rd floor). Super clean, near to everything, the staff at the reception very helpful and with good English. Essentially, my room was better than in many hotels I have been to. IMO it is very good value for money!

It’s great for its price given the location is accessible and where all touristy activities happen. I like that I have my own room with window and private bathroom for a very affordable price. It is also near the TikTok-viral restaurant, Colom, where I ate Paella twice. 🫣🤣❤️ It is also near Barcelona Cathedral! ❤️

Amazing location, close to everything, 24/7 English speaking staff, they prefer you giving them the keys when you leave, which is pretty nice, as you don't have to worry about losing them or when you are in the group and get separated anyone can return anytime, rooms cleaned daily and towels also changed daily. Rooms were ready for the check in before 3 PM, you can also leave your luggage there before the check-in and after check-out. The view into the street was nice. Price was also great.

Visited in December, rooms get cold at night as the radiators aren't turned on, also it takes a while for hot water to start flowing. They give you earplugs in the cabinet, because walls are paper thin and you hear everything going on in the halls and in the streets. Also I kept getting some scam messages through the booking chat. Apparently only the first one about the online check-in was legit, good thing they came after we have already checked-in, so I was wary of paying anything else.
