Hotel is excellent for the family (It's a family hotel just in case that's not clear to anyone). Food was good pancakes in the morning especially. Plenty of choice at tea time. Pool area is nice. The entertainment staff give it there all to keep the kids entertained. It's also a short walk to the beach sea front as well as a 25/30 minutes walk to the theme park. Staff were all helpful and friendly thanks very much for the stay.

Aimed at families but reception staff are so grumpy and rude to the children. Bar staff and entertainers are lovely though. There is a female scorisita(life guard) who is awful and ruined many days at the pool for lots of people. Far too strict. Hotel food is bland and cold. We would not go back to this place unfortunately.

We stayed Sept 2024 with a 3yr old and 8month old. Fantastic family hotel. Food is excellent, fresh, with good variety. The kids entertainment is fantastic even towards mid end Sept. Kids clubs in the day, plenty of play areas (pools and playground, small indoor pool, arcade, pool tables, darts, cinema, softplay etc). All staff friendly and great at their jobs. Guests also friendly when we were there, lots of other families. We will go back again for sure.

Stayed here for a week, and have to say the staff are amazing, especially the staff who run all the kid's activities they really go out of their way to involve all the kids and are so enthusiastic and kind, the staff which run the kiddies discos were amazing! The staff at the bar area especially the servers were so nice! Can't recommend this hotel enough! 🫶 I did find one member of staff quite rude where the breakfast/dinner etc is served but apart from that had a fabulous stay!

Had a fantastic week here with the family, the hotel and pool area are lovely and clean and well maintained. All the staff we encountered were so friendly and helpful. Kids club was a big hit with our kids who are normally not bothered with them and nightly shows were excellent for all of us. Food and drinks for all inclusive was really good, we went for the Golden all inclusive upgrade which was really fantastic meaning we could order pretty much any food or drink we wanted from the restaurant/ bar as could the kids such as ordering ice creams and snacks during the day. Thanks for a lovely stay, really hope to come back again soon.

Our first family holiday has just come to an end and I can't think of a better place to have spent a week. We were delighted with the Golden Avenida. We had the the duplex roof apartments which meant the kids could sleep and we could enjoy a drink on our private (and huge) roof top, pool facing balcony. The apartment has massive, air-conditioned and clean. Definitely showing its age in some places but it didn't take from our stay. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. We only had breakfast which was a feast. There was no shortage of food for even the fussiest eaters. Certainly enough to set us up for the day!! The pools were brilliant albeit quite cold but the kids didn't seem too pushed as we couldn't get them out of it. Evening and nighttime entertainment was excellent and great fun for the family! Considering the price we paid for a weeks stay, we really feel like we got excellent value for money. We're planning on going back next year and I have no hesitation in recommending a stay here. The beach was easily within a 10 minute walk!!

Firstly breakfast great, very good selection well presented very nice staff. Pool area clean lifeguard on duty plenty sun beds. We even went to the pool on the LG floor with a nice jacuzzi. Plenty able of families here (hence the name). We only seen the entertainment one night and that was good. Good games room . The room on the very top was ok as the stairs were a bit formidable (maybe a rail for people especially little ones) Good overall.

Just back from our family holiday in Salou.
The staff at this hotel are very efficient and do their utmost to help and accommodate their guests. Nothing is too much trouble. Although we did have some issues the staff helped as best they could to rectify any issues raised, promptly. This was greatly appreciated.
Good variety of food in the dining room, lots of fresh fruit, breads, pastries and meat. Beautiful salads too. Staff are all hard working and very friendly.
Cleaning staff also nice and friendly, however we were not impressed with the standard of hygiene in our apartment during our stay. The floors were quite dirty on arrival, bed linen (even fresh) had an odor of damp. Several 'clean' towels were stained. Although these issues were rectified it still needs improvement for the next guests. Standards should never slip when it comes to hygiene. I had to buy some cleaning products and clean down counters, touch points throughout the apartment and shelves in the room before putting my clothes away. Dust quite visible in main areas.
Pool area very good and no issues with getting a lounger. Loungers cleaned by power hose daily.
Toilets in hotel lobby clean, lobby also spotless.
Good location too.

As a family of 4, we’ve had a fabulous stay. ALL the staff are just brilliant. I don’t know whether this is a Salou ‘thing’ but I would suggest that all staff just work extremely well together in keeping the hotel delivery running at a very high level.

As for the kitchen/cooking staff…what a group of talented individuals!!! I’ve never had such consistently lovely food and never seen our teenage son eat so much. If you have one you may know what I mean!
The bar staff. The cleaning staff and last but not least the entertainment staff….I’m astounded by the energy, the motivation, the patience of all and the overwhelming Customer Service so important now when managing the expectations of a demanding public!

Nice hotel, one criticism I have is that there was not much choice in the hot food but this is where the issue is.... The food wasn't actually hot. It was barely warm.
The all inclusive drinks were amazing though, they offered premium spirits and branded soft drinks. Very good.
Location was amazing. Shops & restaurants galore are situated nearby.. me & my family will be back.
