Where to stay in Salou

While my stay at the hotel was pleasant overall, I was surprised to find that certain amenities I consider standard for a 4- or 5-star hotel were missing. Complimentary drinking water, coffee and tea, a bath towel, and a chair in the room are basic expectations at this level of service. I hope the hotel considers including these to enhance the guest experience

Is our last day here, for 6 days we had an amazing time, the staff was very friendly, and clean place, and the all-inclusive service and every activity were fantastic. The pool was clean too and I liked that the staff focused on the rules.

Genuinely a nice and clean, affordable hotel to use a base to explore salou. If I was someone who spent more time in the hotel and less on the beach and surrounding restaurants I wouldn’t recommend it. The pools are not big enough to accommodate the volume of customers and aren’t much to look at. The Hotel was amazing, staff very friendly and helpful. There were no rush to put towels on loungers as there were plenty of beds available. No long queue at the bar or at the restaurant. Entertainment was great, mini arcade was a bonus for my 12 yr old.walk to the shops were 2 min away. I have not got one single fault with the hotel. I look forward to returning with my family.

I stayed here for a few days in mid April on my son's school tour and we really had a great stay , the hotel is very clean and well maintained ,the food we really enjoyed especially the various varieties which I would not normally try but did . The staff are very hard working and very friendly, the rooms are clean comfortable, will definitely come back with my family.

When we arrived after an early morning flight we were advised that our room would not be ready until 3pm that day, some 5 hours time. Stayed here with family of 4 in early July. Hotel is great and staff are wonderful. We booked 2 seperate rooms and this was a much better option. We had an excellent experience at this hotel from arrival to departure. The reception team were welcoming and endlessly smiling and patient with our chaotic family including a room change at our request, lost key and rescuing us from locking ourselves on the balcony. Just enjoyed another family holiday at Hotel Gold River, we love everything about this hotel and how handy it is for the Park. It can be pretty busy in the restaurant at times, but it's never been a problem, the restaurant staff are fantastic, as is the food. Family rooms are very good and spacious with your own kitchenette which is very useful with young children. Pools are nice. Proximity to port Aventura is great. Food in the buffet was nice but not out of this world. Pool towels are not included in this hotel so bring your own or you'll have to fork out 25-30€ per towel at the shop.

It's a nice hotel. The best is that really you can feel that you are in Mexico, because of the decoration, the employees costumes, the pool has real sand and the is a sunk pirate boat. Th only problem, is that i was expecting more Mexican food. Perfect place to visit PortAventuraWorld.

Everything was great, the only negative is the long queues at the rides, some up to 3 hours. One day there is not enough, at least 3 to see everything. In addition to the rides a lot of shows programs. All at a very professionalnom level.

Fantastic hotel, room's are clean and modern. Hotel staff are really friendly and helpful. Really warm welcome from the time we arrived. We 1st came to la siesta in 2012 when our two boys were only 1 Yr and 3 Yr old, now 13 yrs later we are still coming and now our daughter and son have got to experience all the beauty of la siesta, over the past 6 years we have cane twice a year June and September it is our home from home, we gave created some wonderful memories here and watching our 4 kids grow up creating memories has been amazing...

No clean sheets or towels offered for the 10 nights we stayed ..very noisey as the bungalows are situated beside a very busy motorway at night could not sleep due to the noise of the road.poor lighting from the bar area back to the bungalow a lot of the street lamps not working.would not recommend.

La Siesta Salou is a wonderful resort and was the best part of our holiday in May. We have three small children and for them it was an absolute paradise. We stayed for 10 nights in a Caribe Club Bungalow and the highlights included the hammock, the wonderful Kids Club, the trampolines, the excellent buffet breakfast and the heated indoor swimming pool. Lovely area, with a lovely beach. I recommend snorkelling, as there is plenty of fish to see. The hotel, food was lacking and cold. There is not a great deal of variety. Price quality great hotel! Amazing location and a roof top to die for. Very modern, nice rooms with a big balcony. We didn't use the pool at ground level, but it was very nice to look at during our outside dinners (see picture). Overall, had a great stay with my boyfriend!
