Where to stay in Salou

While my stay at the hotel was pleasant overall, I was surprised to find that certain amenities I consider standard for a 4- or 5-star hotel were missing. Complimentary drinking water, coffee and tea, a bath towel, and a chair in the room are basic expectations at this level of service. I hope the hotel considers including these to enhance the guest experience

Is our last day here, for 6 days we had an amazing time, the staff was very friendly, and clean place, and the all-inclusive service and every activity were fantastic. The pool was clean too and I liked that the staff focused on the rules.

Genuinely a nice and clean, affordable hotel to use a base to explore salou. If I was someone who spent more time in the hotel and less on the beach and surrounding restaurants I wouldn’t recommend it. The Hotel was amazing, staff very friendly and helpful. There were no rush to put towels on loungers as there were plenty of beds available. No long queue at the bar or at the restaurant. Entertainment was great, mini arcade was a bonus for my 12 yr old.walk to the shops were 2 min away. I have not got one single fault with the hotel. I look forward to returning with my family.

I stayed here for a few days in mid April on my son's school tour and we really had a great stay , the hotel is very clean and well maintained ,the food we really enjoyed especially the various varieties which I would not normally try but did . The staff are very hard working and very friendly, the rooms are clean comfortable, will definitely come back with my family.

The hotel was nice and clean and in a good location, near to the shops and not far from the beach. When we arrived after an early morning flight we were advised that our room would not be ready until 3pm that day, some 5 hours time. Stayed here with family of 4 in early July. Hotel is great and staff are wonderful. We booked 2 seperate rooms and this was a much better option. We had an excellent experience at this hotel from arrival to departure. The reception team were welcoming and endlessly smiling and patient with our chaotic family including a room change at our request, lost key and rescuing us from locking ourselves on the balcony. Just enjoyed another family holiday at Hotel Gold River, we love everything about this hotel and how handy it is for the Park. Family rooms are very good and spacious with your own kitchenette which is very useful with young children. Pools are nice. Proximity to port Aventura is great. I am staying in the hotel right now as I write this there only a couple of issues the Lifts there two in main reception and one around the side used by cleaners or service. The lifts are not in order of merit if your on second floor you press lift to come it doesn't come to your floor even if no one used the lift there a issue with them i think your waiting ages for them. Price quality great hotel! Amazing location and a roof top to die for. Very modern, nice rooms with a big balcony. We didn't use the pool at ground level, but it was very nice to look at during our outside dinners (see picture). Overall, had a great stay with my boyfriend!

I stayed here with my partner, the hotel and rooms were really spacious and clean. The staff are really friendly and go above and beyond to make sure you have a fabulous holiday. The hotel is in a brilliant location, and just a short walk to all amenities including the beach. The pool was cleaned often, and was a really good temperature, but the outside toilets could really do with cleaning more often...

Hotel is good. Lots of pools, indoor pool feels a little unclean, perhaps. Buffet food was good with some interesting courses, and plenty of choice. Staff very pleasant. Main entertainment area gets a bit stuffy and is loud but you'd expect that. Kids club had plenty of activities. The smaller bar had very good entertainment and was a more chilled vibe in the evening. Location is fine, 2km to walk...

Clean modern decor. Friendly helpful staff. At meal times you are escorted to an available table instead of having to search for one. Excellent food selection .Free safe in each room - no deposit required. Beach towel hire - €10 each, fully refundable on return. Would highly recommend this hotel .

Lovely hotel though a bit dated in areas. Pools were freezing. Good animation team that worked hard. Lovely food, had to use microwave at times to heat it up though. Given free water with meals and free water fountains around the pools

amazing hotel! All staff really were so friendly and their entrainment staff are amazing! We just had the breakfast and had plenty of options. Beds were super comfy and the cleaners are a credit to the hotel, we were on the fifth floor and didnt matter if they had done all the rooms they would quickly clean yours when we took the do not disturb down. We 1st came to la siesta in 2012 when our two boys were only 1 Yr and 3 Yr old, now 13 yrs later we are still coming and now our daughter and son have got to experience all the beauty of la siesta, over the past 6 years we have cane twice a year June and September it is our home from home, we gave created some wonderful memories here and watching our 4 kids grow up creating memories has been amazing...

No clean sheets or towels offered for the 10 nights we stayed ..very noisey as the bungalows are situated beside a very busy motorway at night could not sleep due to the noise of the road.poor lighting from the bar area back to the bungalow a lot of the street lamps not working.would not recommend.

La Siesta Salou is a wonderful resort and was the best part of our holiday in May. We have three small children and for them it was an absolute paradise. We stayed for 10 nights in a Caribe Club Bungalow and the highlights included the hammock, the wonderful Kids Club, the trampolines, the excellent buffet breakfast and the heated indoor swimming pool. My first time here and it did not disappoint I came here with my partner and 2 year old and we all absolutely loved it the location is great very close to everything the value is definitely worth it and so clean stayed in the caribe club they are gorgeous the pools are just wow and the services are outstanding will definitely be back

Just back from 5 days at La Siesta. Absolutely fantastic stay. We had a recommendation from someone and booked. We stayed in the Caribe area and the cabin had everything! My little boy Absolutely loved the pools, slides, playground and trampolines. Biggest selling point is how close it is to the beach...literally a 5 min walk. Lovely area, with a lovely beach. I recommend snorkelling, as there is plenty of fish to see. The hotel, food was lacking and cold. There is not a great deal of variety. No water available, you have to go to the local supermarket and buy your own! Also, the rooms dont have kettles. We ate lunch out every day, and the food was better there!
