While my stay at the hotel was pleasant overall, I was surprised to find that certain amenities I consider standard for a 4- or 5-star hotel were missing. Complimentary drinking water, coffee and tea, a bath towel, and a chair in the room are basic expectations at this level of service. I hope the hotel considers including these to enhance the guest experience
Is our last day here, for 6 days we had an amazing time, the staff was very friendly, and clean place, and the all-inclusive service and every activity were fantastic. The pool was clean too and I liked that the staff focused on the rules.
Genuinely a nice and clean, affordable hotel to use a base to explore salou. If I was someone who spent more time in the hotel and less on the beach and surrounding restaurants I wouldn’t recommend it. The pools are not big enough to accommodate the volume of customers and aren’t much to look at. The food isn’t worth paying any extra to be all inclusive/half board as there isn’t much choice and it...
The Hotel was amazing, staff very friendly and helpful. There were no rush to put towels on loungers as there were plenty of beds available. No long queue at the bar or at the restaurant. Entertainment was great, mini arcade was a bonus for my 12 yr old.walk to the shops were 2 min away. I have not got one single fault with the hotel. I look forward to returning with my family.
I stayed here for a few days in mid April on my son's school tour and we really had a great stay , the hotel is very clean and well maintained ,the food we really enjoyed especially the various varieties which I would not normally try but did . The staff are very hard working and very friendly, the rooms are clean comfortable, will definitely come back with my family.
MedPlaya Hotel Calypso, Salou. 7 night stay. 30 March to 6 April 2024 Let's start with the good, which it mostly was... Nice, clean rooms. Big bathroom, great shower. Most rooms, if not all have balconies. Mostly friendly staff. Great swimming pools and outdoor bathing area. The food in the canteen was really good. Lockers to store your luggage on the last day, if you have late transfers. Arcade...

The hotel was nice and clean and in a good location, near to the shops and not far from the beach. When we arrived after an early morning flight we were advised that our room would not be ready until 3pm that day, some 5 hours time. Luckily I was travelling with 2 teenagers so this was not a problem., however I can imagine this would be a huge inconvenience to those travelling with small children...
Stayed here with family of 4 in early July. Hotel is great and staff are wonderful. We booked 2 seperate rooms and this was a much better option. Rooms were cleaned and maintained well throughout the week we were there. Our rooms were facing onto the street which was very noisy most nights. Im a light sleeper and struggled to sleep, my son slept well however. We stayed on HB basis and food was amazing...
We had an excellent experience at this hotel from arrival to departure. The reception team were welcoming and endlessly smiling and patient with our chaotic family including a room change at our request, lost key and rescuing us from locking ourselves on the balcony. The food was excellent with lots of variety and the dining room team were excellent at keeping everything clean and moving at busy...
I am currently at the hotel and wanted to leave this feedback now, while I care and have time. I will try to be objective and hope both future guests and hotel management will find this review useful. I am here with a 5-yo son, and overal we are having a good experience apart from a few things i will describe below. Positives - the food is great both quality and variety. Be aware, any coffee with milk...
Fantastic Stay at H10 Salou Princess - Entertainment & Service Top-Notch! We had an amazing holiday at H10 Salou Princess! The hotel overall is great! Very clean, service great. Fantastic location, couldn’t have been better. Our room was on the small side and a bit dated, but did the job. Staff were great!! Special mention to Michael and Pol at the pool bar who looked after us very well. Also Axel who was part of the entertainment team. We stayed for a week, full board, at the end of September 2024. We had intended going out to attractions in the area, but thanks to the cold wet summer, most had closed early this year and we ended up staying in the hotel complex for most of the week. We still had an amazing time, making full use of the outdoor pools, spacious sun soaked poolside lounging facilities, 3 great water slides, for anyone...
me and my boyfriend stayed here for our first holiday a couple of weeks ago. before going when we was reading all these mixed reviews we wasn’t sure what to expect. when we got there it was a MASSIVE queue for check in,but luckily managed to get through it within 30-40 mins. rooms become available to you at 3pm. the look of the hotel was very appealing and they did keep it very clean, especially the...
For a 3* hotel we're happy to rate our stay 5* out of 5* and would be happy to return. Very enjoyable and suitable for families with small children. Rooms are kept very clean, spacious enough with a small mini fridge & safe. Meals are buffet style with good and plenty of choices. The TV has some English channels and most importantly the Disney channel is Dual language and can be switched to English...
During my stay at a hotel in Barcelona, I found the rooms to be quite ordinary, with two beds arranged side by side to accommodate four people. Considering the city's typically hot weather, I decided to opt for a half-board package. However, I discovered that unless you choose an all-inclusive option, even basic amenities such as bottled water came at an additional cost, which seemed a little expensive...
Overall the stay was good. My friends and I only booked the room with no additional food. The pool outside is great with multiple sun beds still available. The indoor heated pool is worth going to if you have a hard time acclimating to water. They constantly have events on which makes me regret the fact I missed out on bingo. Communication with the staff wasn’t hard however we do have a Spanish speaking...
A hotel that has teenagers catered for. So delighted we chose this hotel for our last night in Salou & will definitely back again. Only downside was the lack of sunbeds available for the amount of guests. Pool very popular from early morning onwards.

it was a great stay... the rooms are beautiful and spacious ... there was induction as well but no cutlery in room ... there was not even a single glass or spoon. But i enjoyed my stay.
Basic but functional rooms. Bed not particularly comfortable and no extra pillows. Nice to have a fridge in the room. Excellent water pressure in the shower. Very useful having direct access to the theme park
Just enjoyed another family holiday at Hotel Gold River, we love everything about this hotel and how handy it is for the Park. It can be pretty busy in the restaurant at times, but it's never been a problem, the restaurant staff are fantastic, as is the food. The rooms surpass expectations and everything in the hotel is always clean and tidy. Can't wait to come back!
Bathroom floor was dirty when we first arrived. Bed mattress was very hard and pillows flat, fortunately we got to take extra pillows from the bed next to us. We would have loved some extra blankets as well. Room didn't have enough electric outlets, it had 3 outlets only which 2 of them were already plugged in with lamps. TV was very small, although this didn't bother us so much if the TV would have...
Family rooms are very good and spacious with your own kitchenette which is very useful with young children. Pools are nice. Proximity to port Aventura is great. Food in the buffet was nice but not out of this world. Pool towels are not included in this hotel so bring your own or you'll have to fork out 25-30€ per towel at the shop.
Our family loved it and we can highly recommend this themed hotel, great value for money. Our family of 6 spent 2 nights in the hotel and 3 days in the PortAventura park (short 5 minute walk). We got a nice, spacious family room with 6 beds and 2 bathrooms. Very friendly staff, everything is very clean, great service and a variety of excellent and freshly prepared food in the buffet restaurant (breakfast...

It's a nice hotel. The best is that really you can feel that you are in Mexico, because of the decoration, the employees costumes, the pool has real sand and the is a sunk pirate boat. Th only problem, is that i was expecting more Mexican food. Perfect place to visit PortAventuraWorld.
Very nice hotel near the station and the park. Very big pool. Decent breakfast. A very good option for kids. All very good and very helpful service. Great.
Nice looking and clean hotel. Nice pool but with some weird rules (it is not allowed to stand in the pool while wearing sunglasses?!?). No healthy food options for lunch in the entire resort, only a junk food buffet.
A cool hotel. A large area. Good food. There is free Parking, free wi-fi
Everything was great, the only negative is the long queues at the rides, some up to 3 hours. One day there is not enough, at least 3 to see everything. In addition to the rides a lot of shows programs. All at a very professionalnom level.

We haved booked this hotel as package including park entry and half board (breakfast and dinner buffet) in low season last week of October. Overall we had a great deal for an amusement park hotel. Pools and hot tub unfortunately were closed...
Nice rooms and overall was good. Very friendly staff. Although beds are quite stiff and we had a a couple of issues with the bathroom sink and shower.
They fit us in at last minute and the staff could not do enough to make sure our stay went well. We even felt safe eating their gluten free menu. Not a place to go and relax but definitely a place to go and have family fun
Superb hotel, easy check-in, very friendly staff, ground are immaculate, rooms comfortable and spacious, easy access to the Theme and Water Parks-superb
Great for a family trip. NOT a place to go and relax and have peace and quiet. This is a very busy hotel with lots of guests and hustle and bustle. All the staff we encountered were lovely and really friendly. All in all great!

Beautiful views, fine clean sand, a cozy bay and enough space on the beach. The rooms are quite cozy, for 4 person was a plenty of room. In the room was a hairdryer, bedclothes were changed every three days, towels each day, in a toilet there wasn't an extractor hood, as a result, the air in the bathroom was constantly humid and poorly ventilated. The corridors are covered with old, worn-out carpet...
A holiday above expectations! It was the first time in Salou and the first time at the Best Cap Salou hotel, we had seen from the photos how beautiful the structure was, but in person it is even more so. As another reviewer has said earlier, a lot of the negative reviews are largely unfair and more to do with people's unrealistic expectations. It's a three star hotel with a water splash park that is an attractive destination for families with young kids. If you want luxury and a tranquil holiday then this hotel isn't for you! The hotel and their staff copes remarkably well with the sheer volume of...

The negative comments are not fair. The description of the hotel that you find on booking is true and fits the reality. First of all you must understand where you are going, it is a 3 star hotel without luxuries. It meets the basic requirements of having a good bed, clean, air conditioning and a full buffet. DO NOT expect quality food, it is buffet food, varied and of standard quality. You should also...
Great hotel, a lot of foods to choose from during the meals and the pools are great, but the WiFi doesn't really work and the beach isn't the cleanest but it isn't bad. We had a lovely stay at Best Negresco. The sea view was stunning from our room even though we didn’t book it! The beach was a 2 minute walk, perfect location. The hotel was very clean. Plenty of varieties of food to choose from. Bar staff and reception staff were friendly, especially Adrian who was very helpful.
All the staff are so lovely and helpful, special mention to Adrian! The food is really good and so many options to choose from, we had something different every day. The hotel is located right on the coast. The views are beautiful. It is far away from anything urban and is very peaceful. Seaview rooms offer very beautiful views and sounds of the sea. Great hotel! The rooms are not so big but perfectly fine for me. The rooms have a locker for free use and you can also watch tv if you want. The staff is very kind, always in a good mood and very fast. The animation is kind of boring for adults around the autumn and the swimming pool is pretty small as well. Hotel is perfectly located, it’s near shopping street, the beach and some bus stops.
Had a weeks all inclusive here at the end of september. Entertainment was poor, and not enough really. Staff was pleasant when in the dinner hall. Food was good, best dish was the paella which I felt they didn't do enough of. Focused too much on pleasing the English with nuggets and chips. Room was OK, nothing special.
A very nice place to stay. The rooms are on the small size. No tea , coffee, kettle in room. Had built-in wardrobe with a fridge in it. Not many places to put personal bits. The food was very surprising good. And there was lots of it to choose from. Family friendly and good entertainment for the young children. Was very clean and tidy and kept modern style.
Have been to Salou 3 times before & booked this as a cheap short break. Nothing wrong with the hotel as such but we do usually prefer adult only & this is definitely family orientated. (We hadn't expected so many children as we went at the end of September.) Nightly entertainment took place inside the bar area (although there was a stage outside in the pool area) so we went out to local bars & restaurants...
Honestly a few improvements would make this hotel hard to beat. The lifts is a constant battle. Only 2 lifts in operation is just ridiculous! Good value for money! I recently stayed during the week and for the price I paid I was shocked. The hotel is very modern, extremely clean and pleasant. I just stayed here for a week and it was great. We only had bed and breakfast but the breakfast was good with lots to choose from. Staff really attentive especially at reception, only thing being there is sometimes a que and takes a while to be seen to. Food in restaurant is great. The hotel was nice and the food was ok for a cheaper all-inclusive hotel. The things that let the hotel down where my daughters got given a double bed to share and we couldn't swap their room for 2 days and the adults roof area was really amazing but the bar wasn't covered by the all inclusive wristband. Apart from that entrainment and location where really good.
Our third time staying but likely our last. The rooms are very clean and cleaning staff do an excellent job. The pool facing rooms are very loud due to the constant music that's doesn't need to be so loud. Nighttime entertainment starts quite late and can go on until 11:30pm. Again, very loud. Overall, my stay was pleasant, but a few aspects left me disappointed. The main issue was the air conditioning: the lowest temperature allowed was 23°C, which wasn’t enough to cool the room properly, especially given the intense heat outside. Hotel is in a great location. Near to attractions with shops and the strip in walking distance. Service in the hotel could be better especially in the dining room where some staff neglected to clear or clean in a timely manner. However food was okay and we all managed to find something to eat with most of it freshly cooked. Pool and animation team are great!
It doesn’t try to be a 5 star, it isn’t, it’s probably a 3.5-4. Restaurant for boarded guests was superb, choice excellent. The chefs went above and beyond for my gluten free wife. Recently returned back from a week’s stay here with my family. The hotel itself is lovely everything is clean, fresh and modern. Just back from 5 days at La Siesta. Absolutely fantastic stay. We had a recommendation from someone and booked. We stayed in the Caribe area and the cabin had everything! My little boy Absolutely loved the pools, slides, playground and trampolines. Biggest selling point is how close it is to the beach...literally a 5 min walk. Supermarket on site but very limited, but there is a Supermarket around...

On the night of October 18, a pipe burst in the hotel and the rooms were flooded with water. We wasted our time trying to deal with this situation on our own. The people at the reception ignored me. Despite the emergency, the hotel staff did not even offer basic words of apology or thank you for understanding the situation or apologize for the inconvenience caused. I was tired and upset because I had...
This very nice hotel has earned my 5 stars particularly due to the extraordinary price quality ratio. I spent 9 days there with my wife, baby and my parents (for my parents, this was their 3rd stay), and we enjoyed our vacation. The sea and pool views are both beautiful, the hotel is located almost right at the beach and the atmosphere is relaxing and calm. The staff was very friendly (despite not...
i've been with a group of 17 teenagers and 3 adults (mini-camp); the location is good, though the adjacent beach to the hotel is super-crowded during summer months, but at least there are other options nearby (walking distance); the accommodation is great (big, spacious, cosy rooms); the food options are great, the only problem is with the water. I mean, I can't really understand why there can't just...
Just a quick review, just arrived back today 11/6/24,had a lovely well earned break with daughter in-laws. Lovely resort, lovely room ,nice and clean, couldn't really fault much. Nice beach area but could do with deck chairs, pool area was nice and clean, but a little quiet for our liking, could have done with a bit of music playing in back ground, hotel shop sells rubber dinghys and other pool inflatables...
Very nice Hotel, well appointed, lovely friendly staff, according to some, not as good as last year, which we was told in 2023, was outstanding?, but lovely clean pools, great restaurant facilities, really good gym, it seems like it's own sandy beach at the end of the road right next to the hotel, ( very steep road), parking is very hap hazard, ( very rarely a parking space). Views from the front of...
Lovely area, with a lovely beach. I recommend snorkelling, as there is plenty of fish to see. The hotel, food was lacking and cold. There is not a great deal of variety. No water available, you have to go to the local supermarket and buy your own! Also, the rooms dont have kettles. We ate lunch out every day, and the food was better there!

The hotel's location is excellent, being very close to the beach and other tourist attractions, which was a major plus. However, our room was near an Irish pub, and the noise at night from drunk people shouting, fighting, and laughing, as well as the sound of glass bins being emptied, made it hard to sleep peacefully. The hotel itself was okay—it’s a 3-star establishment, so we weren’t expecting luxury...
Just got back last night, we all had the best time and can’t fault the hotel at all. We came as a group of 7 and we all found something to eat during meal times, we used the snack bar on some days too. The hotel was clean, our rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels and loo rolls, the pool area was cleaned morning and evening and was so easy to find a sunbed! A couple of the girls said they’ve never...
I spent few days here and I would like to give them a nice review. The room was spotless clean also everywhere was clean not only the room. About the food I want to mention that it was delicious. They have variety of dishes for all tastes. Also to mention they do different meals everyday. So you won't find same food all the time. Desserts like 4 5 different ones. But trust me the food here it's better...
What can I say about this beautiful resort! First off my 7 year old son has a server nut allergy mainly peanut. And they couldn't do enough to make sure he was safe! The male manager making sure at each bar every time I went that it was known! Our room was so clean and everything we needed provided? Entertainment absolutely amazing! Food no way this was a three star most definitely a four star ⭐! Always...
We went very open-minded as it was a 3*. Boy, were we wrong ! Rooms were clean and well laid out. Restaurant was spacious, and food was brilliant wide variety and all really nice. Staff were friendly. Pool was a decent size and plenty of areas. Then you get to Axel and his team !!!! What can you say brilliant 👏 kids and adults love them all so friendly and engaging. The energy they bring around the...
Brilliant staff, housekeeping on top form. Food pleasant. Pool clean with separate kiddies pool. Adequate places to sit. 4* given for location due to my own health requirements. Healthy people will find it easy to get to. Thankyou for a pleasant stay!

We went as a family of 5, 3 adults and 2 children aged 7 and 10. We got a private transfer which took 1 hour from Barcelona would next time definitely fly from Reus as it’s only 20 mins away. We were allocated two rooms next to each other which over looked the pool and close to the evening entertainment. The rooms were air conditioned and this worked well. Bathrooms were a good size with a spacious...
There is so much to say about this hotel. I'll try and keep it brief. Booked through Thomas Cook, flying into Barcelona, not realising there's a closer airport. Transfer to the hotel was by shared coach, and took a little over 2 hours. Transfer back to the airport was an hour. We were just super unlucky the day we arrived that there were a number of other hotel drop offs in Salou. The bus drops off...
Always found food that week liked, including the teenagers, breakfast was very good. If you can’t find food you will like then you must be very fussy! Nothing was undercooked, and considering the cater for hundreds of people; it was great. If you want restaurant standard food, go to a restaurant and pay a premium. All inclusive was good value for money, with snacks & ice creams during the day. Pool...
It was the third time for us at this hotel.Very tasty food, a lot of choices .Confy beds, rooms very spacious and clean, close to the beach.Definitely we will choose it for the next time. Also the staff very friendly and helpful. Maybe something to add,a little too crowded at the dinner time and loud in the evening until 23.15,if you have a pool view room.
Visited with family last week ( July 2025 ). There was two adults and two teenagers. Good points Food was exceptional Staff were nice Not so good points Room was only small for 4 people Balcony only fitted 2 people Pool got incredibly busy Building work along the beach It's a 15 min bus ride into salou so not walkable It was an OK holiday but not amazing....
Hotel is clean and modern, rooms cleaned beds made and fresh towels every day, staff friendly and helpful. We went room only but could pay each day for breakfast. Breakfast was ok it was something to eat and only paid because I really needed a coffee. We did this a couple of days. Pool for the kids is fantastic. The only downfall is the pool does not open till 10am. When your with kids they...

Great hotel, the pool on the roof is supernice.
Price quality great hotel! Amazing location and a roof top to die for. Very modern, nice rooms with a big balcony. We didn't use the pool at ground level, but it was very nice to look at during our outside dinners (see picture). Overall, had a great stay with my boyfriend!
The room was fine. Both swimming pools are good. I didn't like the food.
Great place to be! Clean, good food and excellent service. Would definitely come back.
Great hotel. Great service. Gorgeous kitchen
Beautiful interior, wide selection of seafood, has a terrace on the roof.

We had an amazing experience, as always, at H10 Salauris Palace this year. The food was lovely and the beds were super comfortable, in nice, clean rooms. What made our experience even more special was the amazing animation team in the hotel this year. They were always so entertaining and welcoming, and they really made our day at the pool so fun each day. We found it so easy to join in with the activities...
Great hotel, everywhere is really clean, the staff are very nice and helpful, the rooms are immaculate so credit to the cleaners and please pass on, pool area in general is spacious and clean with 2 pool bars, theres a gym/sauna etc, the entertainment team around the pool work hard all day to keep everyone entertained especially the kids so credit to them guys. A few things id recommend and to note...
Currently staying at H10 Salarius Palace, the hotel is amazing, the animation team are wonderful, they are great at keeping the kids & adults entertained throughout the day & night, food is good plenty of choice to suit everyone! The hotel is of central location, a short walk to the centre. My only negative to this hotel is the sunbed wars in the morning, there should be a better set up! Overall I...
Animation team are absolutely amazing and entertaining and very helpful and professional I really recommend coming here it’s our 4th year coming and please don’t take any notice of bad reviews
I stayed here with my partner, the hotel and rooms were really spacious and clean. The staff are really friendly and go above and beyond to make sure you have a fabulous holiday. The hotel is in a brilliant location, and just a short walk to all amenities including the beach. The pool was cleaned often, and was a really good temperature, but the outside toilets could really do with cleaning more often...
