Where to stay with kids in Salou

We still had an amazing time, making full use of the outdoor pools, spacious sun soaked poolside lounging facilities, 3 great water slides, for anyone who meets the minimum height requirement, wonderful dining rooms with spectacular food and a not at all intrusive, yet still busy entertainment team

We don’t drink, so I can’t comment on the drinks, other than to say the bars seemed to be doing good business, both inside the building and poolside

For the strenuous visitors, there’s a full gym, with various exercise machines, which we (thankfully!) only discovered on our last night. I can’t imagine why this wonderful hotel only warrants 3 stars

It’s hard to imagine what they could possibly do better, to earn another

Everything works via the hotel bracelets (doors, gates & entry into dining rooms, etc), which you can load up with money to make purchases or card payment only accepted within the hotel

We stayed for a week, full board, at the end of September 2024

The corridors are covered with old, worn-out carpet. It's good that there is a swimming pool with slides for different ages on the territory

From the swimming pools with slides and games for both adults and children, to the open pool and the indoor thermal pool that we really appreciated in the "cooler" hours, to the immediate access to the small and private beach below where we spent magnificent moments, from the beach the view is truly unique and the sunset wonderful! There is a bar/bathroom in both pool areas and it was very convenient...

We spent 8 nights in this magnificent place together with our child, we can say that the structure has everything, nothing is missing

A holiday above expectations! It was the first time in Salou and the first time at the Best Cap Salou hotel, we had seen from the photos how beautiful the structure was, but in person it is even more so

Not a bad place but sometimes some things needed more cleanliness, for example a terrace or carpet in a hotel or chairs in a living room

The restaurant area is large and beautiful, there is an outdoor terrace with sea view where we loved having dinner and lunch. The food is always varied, quality and in abundance

Not enough places to store clothing, all we had was 1 wardrobe with ten coat hangers and a little shelf above the wardrobe. Dinner and evening meal was terrible. The water in the pool was too cold

I’d say for larger families, book more than one room as it would definitely feel like a squeeze. However, rooms are clean and modern (view to the pool was also lovely)

For a three star hotel it's surprisingly good. Slightly dated but with great service, nice rooms and location. They provide entertainment and good facilities for families. The stand out feature is the food

It was also dirty in the restaurant, the cutlery and plates were always filthy! Facilities- Lots to do in the hotel, such as a spa, games, great pools for adults and children

Can't play ball games and other stuff. The pool slides are good - good for adults too! The hotel is about a 10/15 minute walk to the beach

The entertainment staff are 10/10. Every single one of them is amazing and fab with the kids! They keep them busy all day with different games to play. A bit strict around the pool sometimes

The balcony was small and could only fit two people on at a time so we couldn’t sit out there as a family. Around the pool was generally clean. Pool didn’t open until 10am and some people started to queue about 9

3 pools, baby pool was lovely and warm and the other two pools were on the slightly colder side but didn’t stop us going in and having fun in the 30 degree heat! The pool with slides was great fun for the children

Entertainment team were friendly and my youngest child went to the kids club most days for an hour or two to get out of the sun which she enjoyed. The pool bar was always busy

Lifeguard on duty at all times and were vigilant. No inflatables in the main pool which was a bit disappointing but seems to be the norm now in most holidays abroad

However we are on holiday so we weren’t worried about the slower service. Some of the ladies behind the bar were lovely and always very helpful

30am for a sun-bed! We were able to get a sunbed if we went down about 10. 30am but any later and you would probably miss out

Animation team are amazing for the kids, there is ALWAYS something going on to keep them entertained. Food is Wow! You will always find something to eat, and it tastes amazing

All the animation team are superb! We don't have small kids but still involve the adults

The staff are so friendly and helpful and the entertain staff around the pool are great with kids and adults and provide and uplifting and fun holiday

Hotel nice and good location, food could have been better, especially in the evening for kids and adults. The animation team were good, but the mini disco starts at 9

Family friendly hotel in an ideal location. The attractions for the kids really makes this place including the entertainment staff

Friendly bar staff and entertainment was good too. The outdoor pool was clean and tidy, the seats/loungers were enough for out of season but can imagine you would struggle to get a seat if you went in season

Came here on holidays and have to say, one of the best I’ve been on. Facilities were spotless and staff were ever so friendly. Great entertainment for both kids and adults with a brilliant animation team

Freshly cooked food in both mornings and evenings. Pool area cleaned every morning and extra sunbeds stacked to stop “sunbed wars”

The animation team for the night who made the kids disco for the kids and the shows were amazing, they always worked so hard to give an incredible show for the kids, with versions of films and music that the kids loved

There was always a great selection for breakfast, our kids always loved the freshly cooked pancakes the best! Dinner was nice, always extremely varied, you might be disappointed or love what you get depending on the evening

We went half board and the food was phenomenal. Excellent choices and brilliant variety. Would 100% recommend and would come back in the future in a heart beat. Thank you to all the staff who made this holiday memorable

It’s close enough to town although far enough away from the noise and busyness to get a good nights sleep. Highly recommend esp for families!

The meat revolves around pork cooked differently instead of other meat alternatuves that would better suit most guests from all backgrounds

Overall I had a great experience and will definitely try come back! Would recommend :-)

The decor was great, the rooms were clean & comfy, the WiFi worked great & overall the location was accessible to many different food places/clubs/beaches etc… Only thing I’d suggest for improvement is the food options

Would have liked some light background music but appreciate that’s not for everyone. Two entertainers going around the pool who seemed very friendly and not pushy or over powering

Stayed in a caribe premium bungalow as a family of 2 adults 2 teens. bungalows spotless with all essentials for self catering. grounds pools etc beautiful and really well maintained. always plenty of sunbeds available

staff all friendly and helpful. small supermarket on site but plenty within a couple mins walk. beach 5 mins walk as is main ***** for restaurants/bars etc. 24 hour security on gate which leaves a very safe impression

Just back from 5 days at La Siesta. We had a recommendation from someone and booked. We stayed in the Caribe area and the cabin had everything! My little boy Absolutely loved the pools, slides, playground and trampolines

We 1st came to la siesta in 2012 when our two boys were only 1 Yr and 3 Yr old, now 13 yrs later we are still coming and now our daughter and son have got to experience all the beauty of la siesta, over the past 6 years we have cane twice a year June and September it is our home from home, we gave created some wonderful memories here and watching our 4 kids grow up creating memories has been amazing...

My first time here and it did not disappoint I came here with my partner and 2 year old and we all absolutely loved it the location is great very close to everything the value is definitely worth it and so clean stayed in the caribe club they are gorgeous the pools are just wow and the services are outstanding will definitely be back

We stayed for 10 nights in a Caribe Club Bungalow and the highlights included the hammock, the wonderful Kids Club, the trampolines, the excellent buffet breakfast and the heated indoor swimming pool

The pool no ball games, no large rings. I checked with the lifeguard that by going for lunch she would not be putting a ticket on our beds as she was very eager to do this and remove towels

Not far from the hotel there is a Bus Plana office where you can buy excursions. The public beach is wide, entry into the sea is convenient

Good parts, entertainment staff especially Yoli were excellent. These guys were on the go all the time. The snack bar constantly filling up the snacks, burgers, chicken nuggets,chips, wraps, salad bowls and sandwiches

Bar staff very polite and friendly. You can also help yourself to ice cream, crisps, etc plus soft drinks. We found the restaurant food to be good, others who have been there several times said it had gone downhill

When we were questioning why we hadn’t got our tickets all she kept saying was you should have collected them on the 1/2 day, we could not make her understand we didn’t know we were suppose to collect them

The only issues we found was the lack of wall outlets (only one available) and the beds are very stiff. The latter is a common issue in Spanish hotels, and was promptly solved by the hotel staff by adding a topper

The outdoor bar area also serves amazing burgers, hotdogs, pizzas, chips, crisps, and other snacks all part of the all inclusive! The drinks are all named too, proper Smirnoff vodka, JD, etc! Rooms: 2 x double beds per room, air con as standard, we paid for the safe, and the balcony is a good side

Plenty of wardrobe space too. Negative… I broke my ankle on my first day. That’s it, not the hotels fault. However, the staff arranged a wheelchair hire with crutches, they assisted with booking taxis to hospitals etc

Fresh towels each day, and cleaned each day. I read a review which mentioned about only having one pillow per bed…ask for more? We did and they happily gave us 3 more. Bathroom has fresh towels, a bath, and a shower

You can also have a fresh omelette or toastie made for you each day. Lunch is 1300-1500 Typically consists of meats - like kebabs, chickens, pork’s, with a selection of meats, fresh fruit, and lots of desserts

Dinner is 1900-2200ish Again, similar to lunch, plenty of veg, meats, etc and lots of desserts to choose from. Drinks at dinner are typical bar drinks, again available inside during dinner in the food hall

The staff in general are all amazing, one even offered to go home and get me a set of her crutches for me to use for the week! Entertainment: Children’s entertainment starts at 2100hrs, typically consists of balloon making, magicians, discos etc

We stayed at this beautiful Camp Site whilst touring Spain. There is everything you need here from Swiming pool to shop. The staff are very friendly and helpful and everywhere is spotlessly clean

We ate three times at the restaurant - good food and reasonable prices. There is plenty of sports provision including tennis and table tennis and a nice pool

Fantastic site with nice pool and bar area. Didn’t eat there but food looked ok. Busy at weekends though so make sure you book for them

The kids took over the pool and restaurant facilties and their singing and activities at night were very loud and left nowhere for residents to socialise or have a drink at the bar

Came here for two nights and stayed for 8. The site is in a quiet location on the edge of Cambrils. The sandy beach is an easy 10 minute walk and in October we had the sand to ourselves

There are cycle paths into Cambrils, a nice little resort, and to Salou, not so nice. The site is wonderful, great staff, flat pitches, some fairly tight for large vans, lots of shade

We went as a family of 4 (14 being the youngest), all inclusive for 2 weeks in july. Hotel itself is right next to the "beach" and the option to beable to dine out with a view of the sea was definitely a huge bonus

We have enjoyed a really relaxing 2 week break at this lovely hotel. We are a family of 5 ( including 3 teenagers) and had 2 family junior suites which were really spacious and kept spotlessly clean

Also, the “snack bar” is located outside of the hotel, food itself was not too bad, but pretty basic, the area was very small and near the children’s swimming pool

The airport transfer is really quick we were at the hotel in no time! There are two large pool areas - the entertainment happens around the splash park and the snack bar is here too

The inflatables and water polo were very much enjoyed by our family and thanks to Valeria & the entertainment team

Be sure to make your reservation at the rooftop restaurant (the only à la carte which can be booked once per stay) at the beginning of your stay. We really enjoyed this special evening, the wonderful service and food
