Reviews
We had a great experience at JW Marriott Cannes. The hotel is beautifully maintained, with a refined and elegant atmosphere. While the rooms are not particularly large, that’s quite typical for Europe—and they are very comfortable and well-appointed.
The location is simply outstanding, right on the Croisette, offering easy access to everything Cannes has to offer.
Service throughout the stay was excellent, and I’d like to especially commend the reception staff for their professionalism. A special mention goes to Mrs. Noor, who went above and beyond to support our families—preparing the rooms in advance of our arrival and ensuring that all our requests were honored. Her dedication made a real difference to our stay.
Overall, I highly recommend JW Marriott to anyone visiting Cannes. It was a wonderful experience, and I would definitely come back again.
The only truly 5-star feature of this hotel is its location — right across from the beach. Everything else fell short.
We arrived a bit early and were told the room wasn’t ready, which was fine. But when we returned at 4pm — the official check-in time — we were told we’d need to wait another 1.5 hours. After a long wait, we were offered a different room, which was completely unacceptable — not at all what we had booked. Only after we insisted on speaking to a manager did we get another room that was okay, but still not up to JW standards.
The furniture was run down, the door didn’t work properly, the safety deposit box wasn’t closing, and the hairdryer was poor quality. For a hotel charging over €1,000 per night, this was shocking. I used around 100,000 points for one night and was relieved I didn’t pay cash — had I done so, I would’ve been extremely upset.
This is not a 5-star experience. At best, this hotel is 3.5 stars. I wouldn’t pay more than €300–350 for a night here — and even that feels high.
And service? That must’ve been reserved for someone else — we never experienced it.
We stayed at the JW Marriott Cannes for 10 nights, expecting world-class service and a luxurious experience. What we got was the complete opposite.
From day one, the service was shockingly poor. Anytime we needed something, we had to call 4–5 times before getting any response. For the first two days, housekeeping never showed up despite multiple requests. We returned to a messy room more than once.
As if that wasn’t enough, all the air conditioners stopped working on one of the nights. We called again and again – eventually an engineer came, but the issue wasn’t resolved. The room remained unbearably hot, and we couldn’t sleep.
For the amount we paid, this level of service is unacceptable. This was supposed to be a premium experience, but it felt anything but. I would not recommend this hotel, especially if you’re expecting anything close to luxury.
We always choose Marriott because you always know what to expect, excellent service, cleanliness, nice rooms... But staff in this hotel is really special.
Special thanks to Saloua (I hope i got the name right) for amazing customer service, many good recommendations and a lovely handwritten note for our babymoon 🥰
We celebrated many things in Marriott hotels but we always kept them private but with Saloua we felt like talking to a friend and felt comfortable to share a part of our private life.
Except the amazing customer service hotel looks really nice, breakfast is good, restaurant is good...
There are a few things that we didn't like... If you want to park your car by yourself you will lose like 20min to go there and back and it cost €30 and if you want someone else to bring your car for you it's similar waiting time and €50. It didn't bother us too much because we didn't use our car so often.
And if you want really quiet place, it's definitely not for you :) But i guess that's something you should expect in that area.
Overall great hotel...
Breakfast was very good lots of options, room was cozy and spacious, hotel smells very nice too! Small gym but only a few people working out, the pool is fairly small and the rooftop has a great view of the strip and beach area.
Recommend walking up the hill for a great view of Cannes.
We did not stay in the hotel and cannot comment on the rooms, but we were fortunate to be able to make the dinner reservation by phone from our rental house in Nice.
The atmosphere, food, entertainment, and quality of service were exceptionally good and aided in creating a very memorable experience for our celebration!
Garage parking was available in the hotel and on back street garages nearby, but we didn't know that when we arrived. Street parking was very limited along the beach side high-end stores but not recommended.
During our stay I had the pleasure of working with one of the Concierge's Antoine and I cannot express enough how exceptional the experience was.
What truly impressed me was how he went above and beyond and took the time to understand our preferences and tailored recommendations for dining, activities and shopping. He made impossible to become possible for us and was able to secure last minute reservations to the most popular and demanding venues. The reservations he secured for us were outstanding. Thanks for making our stay memorable.
Definitely coming back next year and highly recommend to stay at this hotel.
Beautiful Noor, who checked us in and settled our bill, provided excellent service at the reception.
We would also like to thank the Banquets Team for organizing everything , excellent standard, especially the gentleman with white hair (apologies for forgetting his name) who assisted with all our requests. Initially, our accommodation was booked by the company in a different area, but as a former hotelier with 18 years of experience and a JW Marriott Marquis associate, I wanted to experience the JW Marriott Cannes.
