Reviews
Bed comfortable. Nice views to beach from room 122 and from rooftop pool and bar area. Noise from road and planes quite loud if doors are open but if closed then OK. Room modern.
Cons:
Far from the old town, a very long walk. Had to get taxis regularly which cost a small fortune. Hotel old and dirty. Gym small for such a large hotel and disorganised with broken blinds to block out the sun. No coffee machine in room. Very expensive hotel for very little offerings. No slippers or dressing gowns. Pool area dirty with rubbish under chairs. Shower pressure is poor.
For a large hotel, breakfast is well below average. Small range of fruit, cereals, nuts. I think you can order omelettes and pancakes but they don't make it obvious. Need to make your own teas and coffee. Food offering too small for so many guests. You almost need to fight for your food. Get in early for breakfast is my recommendation. Impossible to get sunbeds on roof top and £32 per day for beach Sun bed is absurd. Beach out the front is not pleasant to swim in. I recommend skipping Nice and staying in Cannes as they have sandy beaches there.
Pool area is small and no poolside food or drink service which to me was the biggest letdown. You had to wait on yourself and weren’t allowed to bring food into the pool area. For what you pay (7€ for a soda), poolside service should be a given. I asked for the club sandwich with no egg but was told they’re premade and the egg can’t be removed. Kind of gross. Definitely understaffed as used plates and glasses were left behind.
The beach is nice but you have to pay anywhere from 50-70 euro to rent a chair and umbrella. It’s run by a third party so nothing can be charged to the room. You have to book online in advance and some days there aren’t any chairs left. However at least you get chair side service! Food is good, better than by pool. Be warned that getting into and out of the water is almost impossible. Steep drop off, all rocks, people were crab walking in and out of water. Get water shoes.
Housekeeping is a joke. Our refrigerator wasn’t working and after waiting on hold for ten minutes I went to reception where I waited on line for 20 minutes only to never have anyone come fix it. Asked again the next day, nothing. All housekeeping does it make the bed. I had coffee in my room and they left the cups on the table everyday, it was disgusting. People were leaving bottles and plates in the hallway and they’d be there all day.
Breakfast buffet is nice but there aren’t enough tables to accommodate guests. Also, why end breakfast at 10am? It’s a vacation spot, give it til at least 11.
Location is good, about 10 minute Uber into Old Nice. Would I come back? To Nice, yes, but to this hotel? Nope. Way too expensive for what you don’t get.
Only missing a fifth Service Star because housekeeping skips at least one item each day (left old coffee mugs once, doesn’t replace coffee packets once and didn’t empty trash once).
Yesterday I spent two hours on the phone trying to speak to someone.
Reception hung up the phone on me four times.
There is no other way of contacting them.
When I did speak to someone they were dismissive and unhelpful.
Would never use this hotel again. Shocking attitude.
The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the rooftop restaurant, Calade. The food was nothing short of exquisite, with each dish crafted to perfection. Dining with such a panoramic view added a magical touch to our meals.
Our kids had an absolute blast at the pool and the beach. The pool area was well-maintained and perfect for family fun, while the beach provided endless entertainment and relaxation.
In summary, our stay at Radisson Blu Nice was fantastic, combining luxurious accommodations, delectable dining, and family-friendly amenities. We can't wait to return!
The reception is apathetic and indifferent too. Not even asking or helping as my items lost in the lobby.
The room is good, but other facilities (hair dryer, boiler, etc.) are quite cheap and old.
Good location but bad service.
Staff was ok, prices are not high for a hotel.
