This a typical small boutique hotel. So don’t expect the space and amenities of a big chain hotel. Yet, I had a wonderful experience there. Here is what you get:
A clean, comfortable room (bedding was clean and super comfortable- slept like a baby)- yes not super roomy but didn’t need more to enjoy, clean and modern bathroom (small indeed - it is a typical older French building), the most friendly and helpful staff 24/7, several great choices of food walking distance. I didn’t try the breakfast, but it smelled really good and people looked like they were enjoying it.
Location is convenient: close to train station, buses, parcs, shops, food.
I also found the place very quiet (I was facing the street). You can hear guests in the hallways but I found the room very quiet overall. Some people complained about the noise. It might depends on how respectful guests are. Not something the hotel can control.
If I ever come back in the area, I will definitely come back to this place.

Room was very small and shower stall was too tight to move within without hitting the walls. No storage to speak enough. Tiny elevator. Good breakfast.

Room was tall and classy if a touch small. Bed was sublime, we were asleep in 2 mins! Efficient shower room but are not for large people

The location was very nice. My room was on the fifth floor but the elevator was only until the 4th floor. The steps to the fifth floor were really steep. The room was on the top floor. If you have height, I don't recommend the room at all. The roof is too low. The room was clean. Whenever I went out, I had to leave the key in the reception, which was weird for me. The metro is very close to the hotel.

Great hotel for the price. Staff in the lobby 24/7 that were friendly and helpful. Good breakfast although small. Nice room with great AC.

We had booked a room for 2 nights (1-Jun to 3-Jun) during the TSwift concert weekend, but it wasn’t until 13:26 local time on 1-Jun (day of checkin) while we were at the airport on our way to Lyon that we received an email from A 3rd party booking site citing “The property has informed us that they are unable to accommodate your booking”. That site confirmed that “hotel owner called [booking site] to report booking could not be honored due to contract termination with [booking site]”. Highly inconvenient is an understatement given that there was not many options for alternative accommodations (which is why we had booked our room over a month before). Hotel phone number listed did not work and we had no option but to find a room further away from where we wanted to stay at 2.5x the cost. Disappointed that neither [booking site] nor the hotel made any effort before this to inform us of any issues with our reservation. I’m sure it’s a decent hotel… sadly I never got to find out.

Good location, professional welcome. Very small room. Hotel very poorly soundproofed and therefore very noisy (noise from the street, the alley, other rooms and the corridor). 2 cm of space between the door and the threshold lets in light from the hallway.

Good value for money. Friendly welcome The room and bathroom were small but clean and comfortable. A prime location close to the magnificent Parc de la Tête d’or, a metro station and the city center.

The hotel de la tête d'or is officially closed. He no longer answers the phone (the number is no longer assigned), he does not respond to emails, but he still takes reservations (March 14, 2024), and charges credit cards! Particularly via its site. Beware SCAM. DO NOT RESERVE
