Hôtel des Ecrivains

We spent a wonderful 7-day holiday in this very nice hotel situated in Place d'Italie. The hotel is well connected to all the "incontournables" (Le Pantheon, Les Jardins de Luxembourg, Cathedrale de Notre Dame, Tour Eiffel, Musée du Louvre, Musée d'Orsay, etc.), as well as to Gare Saint Lazare, Gare de Lyon, Gare de L'Est, and Gare du Nord. Some of the touristic places are reachable on foot (there is a 15-minute walk to the Pantheon, the Luxembourg Gardens, Saint Michel Fountain, and about 20 minutes to the Notre Dame Cathedral), but there are also 3 metro lines (5, 6, 7) and lots of bus lines to go wherever you wish in Paris. Rooms are a bit small, yet very comfortable, clean and welcoming, with a very French vibe. Front desk staff are very kind and communication in English won't be a problem. A special mention for Monsieur Gilles, who was most helpful, even at small hours, since we were leaving at 5 a.m. Mille MERCIS, Monsieur!

We had a nice time at this hotel. The staff is very nice and friendly. Breakfast had everything what we needed. Very delicious bread and croissants! The room was typical Paris style, small but cozy. Location is right next to the metro and has a few cafes and stores nearby. Overall we were really satisfied. The only bad thing was that we could hear everything from other rooms and hall. It could have been quieter. Thank you!

Rooms are a good size compared to other hotel rooms in the area. The service was wonderful. Great value for the price.

Great Hotel stay in great location(fantastic all round). Very welcoming hotel receptionists, both of them. We had to change earlier taxi time and they sorted that out very professionally.

We stayed here during the Olympics and we are happy we did. The location is near the metro and bus stops so you have options to get around. There are nearby cafes, restaurants, and mall too.

The service was great. They even left a welcome note with two water tumblers which were very useful because it was scorching during that week in Paris. We always got water in the lobby before we head out and the receptionist was so kind to also give us ice.

The rooms were clean and tidy. There is no aircon but there is a fan so it was bearable. There is no fridge in our room but you can leave food in the fridge in the lobby so that worked for us. :)

Check-in and check-out was fast. There was always a receptionist 24/7. They also have an elevator so it was great for me because I was still recovering from my knee surgery.

We stayed at this hotel at the start of the Olympics. From our very first interaction, all of the staff were so welcoming and efficient. The room we stayed in was spotless and very comfortable. There's no air conditioning but we were provided with a large fan which worked just as well. The location was very convenient with two metro stops within a short walking distance and several lines pass through which gives excellent access to the city. I would happily stay here again.

Very nice hotel for the price , its in a good location with metro and bus nearby, also lots of restaurants, bakeries and shops. the most important was very clean. The staff was also really nice, I recommend
