Hotel Eugenie in Paris

I must first say that the staff especially Max and Roman were very nice and accommodating. The hotel location is great, close to Metro, bus stops and a lot of restaurants. Walking distance to the Siene River, Notre Dame and Louve. I would give all these factors five stars.

The hotel itself would be three star for me. I know the building age must be hundreds of years old but could use a lot of updating. We booked 4 rooms for family and relatives and they were all the same: the bathrooms have extremely moldy tiles. Some of the shower had only half the tub covered so the water splashes all over the floor. The lights flickers and turns off when we use the hair dryer. The spiral stair case is uneven but they do have a small elevator. If you use the elevator, you still have to carry your luggage either up or down depending on your assigned room level. The rooms are small but thats how most of the hotels in Paris are. The hallways are dark and could use a different lighting.

Would I stay in this hotel again? Maybe if they upgrade their bathrooms because its one of the major NO for me. But for their excellent staff and location, yes.
