The room is very basic and quite tight.. very standard European hotel..
Gulia was very accomodating with one of the requests we needed, so I have to give 5* review for the service, but the rooms were average.. so total 3.5 for me.
There was a coffee maker in the room, along with a sufficient supply of capsules, tea, and a kettle. Additionally, the reception area offered a tea, coffee, and chocolate machine, which guests could use at any time. Although I didn't choose the breakfast option, there were plenty of nearby alternatives available. The quiet atmosphere at night ensured a restful sleep.
The lady at the reception (she speaks English, French, and Italian very well) was exceptionally kind, friendly, and helpful, making my interactions with the staff a pleasant experience. The hotel's location was fantastic, with a close proximity to excellent restaurants, supermarkets, and a vibrant city (including night) life. While I didn't prioritize visiting major Paris attractions during this particular trip, they were only 30 minutes away.
For those arriving from the airport (I personally used Orly and departed from CDG), the nearest metro station, Richard Lenoir, was a convenient 10-minute walk. However, if you have a substantial amount of luggage to transport, there are bus or Uber options to minimize the walking distance.
Overall, my stay at the Gardette Park hotel was delightful, and I highly recommend it.
The size of the room was good but the condition was absolutely terrible. The room is located next to the service closet and the kitchen so you are woken up as staff prep for breakfast and guests arrive to dine.
The carpet floor of the room was very uneven as if carpet was placed on top on incomplete flooring and it creaked terribly. The room smelled very “old” and matched nothing like the photos on the website. The red tiled bathroom was one open space with one partition wall between the pedestal sink and the shower. The shower had no doors so as you shower water splashed toward the toilet that is right in front of the shower. There were no bath maths for us to use so we used the towels.
It’s not a hotel I would recommend to anyone, not for how much it cost during the new year holiday.
The room that I booked (suite, the only one that they have available) doesn't look AT ALL like the one displayed on the website (booked through Booking.com).
To begin with:
-) Bathroom floor was dirty, with tiles full of stains
-) The "suite" has a sofa with white stains on it
-) The electrical panel is making noises 24/7 the moment you turn on the heating
I didn't even bother to fight for it, since it is clearly what they are trying to do here.
I asked for a refund through Booking.com, they refused stating that I didn't even talk with a manager - which is ridiculous considering they set up the room for a nice photo shooting and then didn't to proper cleaning/maintenance for years.
On top of everything, it is more expensive than a 5* in the area.
