Grand Hotel Francais in Paris

The hotel is truly fantastic. The rooms are excellent and come with a very nice balcony. The metro is just a one-minute walk away, and from there you can reach all the main highlights within 20 minutes.

The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming. On our first evening, we decided to have a drink in the lobby. He made us a drink we didn’t know yet, and we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary cheese platter. It was delicious! Thanks Gaye!

Fantastic service. Room quite small, but clean and nice. Able to open cute french doors/ window but also have own temperature control. Opened bar for us after we had been out and drank delicious Merlot. Would definitely stay here again.

My fiancée and I had an absolutely wonderful stay here at Grand Hotel Francais. We spent 8 nights here, and knew it would be a great stay from the moment we checked in. Our host was thoughtful and noted that the room we had originally booked was too small for our luggage size, so he kindly gave us a bigger room, along with a bottle of red to celebrate our engagement.

The rooms are clean and cosy, and amenities are changed regularly. The hotel breakfast is great too! It’s also located near two metro stations, making our trip extremely convenient as we remained well connected throughout Paris! There are also lovely restaurants and bakeries around which we enjoyed.

The host was kind, and gracious, always ready to strike up a conversation or teach us a couple of French phrases. He’s inspired my fiancée to pick up French so that when we revisit he will be able to have a happy conversation with the host and the staff at the hotel. We will definitely be back on our honeymoon, thank you for the wonderful stay! 😊

This hotel offers great value for money! The M9 subway station is about a 3-minute walk from the hotel, and the RER station is also nearby, about a 10-minute walk away. I don't speak much English or French, but the staff were very kind and explained everything to me in detail! The room was a little small, but I think this is standard size for a 3-star hotel in Paris. I had a comfortable stay and had no issues.

The hotel is conveniently located on Boulevard Voltaire, within walking distance of the Nation metro station, offering convenient transportation.
There's also another metro station, Rue des Bulets, nearby.
The reception is open 24 hours a day. Please note that a deposit is required upon check-in.
The deposit is €50, a reasonable amount. However, the hotel is not technically equipped to accept cash deposits; the check-in system
is set up so deposits can only be paid by card. Please keep this in mind.
The standard room is exactly as described. It features a comfortable double bed, a wardrobe, a desk, and a chair. A kettle, tea, coffee, and cream are provided.
There's a minibar, complete with a glass bottle of drinking water. Water is included in the room rate, but you'll need to pay for a bottle as a souvenir.
The bathroom has a shower. The towels are crisp white and feature the hotel's monogram. A hairdryer is also included. Toiletries include soap, dry shower gel, and shampoo (2 in 1). The cosmetics are French.
Luggage storage is available in the hotel's storage room if you arrive early and leave late.

Despite the hotel's location directly on a busy boulevard, the room's window overlooked a side street, making it quiet at night.

Near the hotel is a lovely park ideal for strolling. Shops, pastry shops, and cafes are within walking distance.

I chose the hotel based on location – I wanted a hotel in the 20th arrondissement as close as possible to a specific concert venue.

I had a pleasant experience with the hotel, and would happily return if the opportunity arises.

Stayed for 4 nights - great value for Paris at EUR115 per night (when we booked). Room was a good size for 3 star Paris hotel. Very clean, good quality linen and towels. Location quiet, a few restaurants in the area. If you are happy staying in this area - highly recommended.

Amazing hotel in a very convenient area of Paris!
We found a bunch of amazing restaurants within walking distance. There were bakeries on every corner. 2 pharmacies within a 5 minute walk.

The hotel is renovated and the bathroom looked brand new. The bed was comfy and the room was spacious.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.

We'll definitely be staying next time we're back in Paris.

This hotel was not super close to most tourist spots, but had nearby options for the metro. The neighborhood seemed authentic Parisian, where natives would shop and eat. We were recommended a couple of good restaurants nearby by the hotel staff, who were always helpful. The room was very small by North American standards, but had everything we needed. There is a breakfast room in the basement with a decent if not exciting offering for 14 euros. We were very pleased by the neighborhood.

The property was very clean, had all the facilities needed and the breakfast served was nice with lots of choice. All members of staff were friendly and helpful and the room was comfortable and very clean.
