Hôtel Le Quartier Bercy Square in Paris

The location is fantastic, the hotel being in the middle of the street between two different metro lines. I stayed here for one night following a gig at the Accor Arena and it was perfectly located for that. I was surprised at how quiet the room was, no noise from the street at all. I will note however that being on the ground floor meant that I was awoken early by traffic from other guests to the breakfast room and smoking area. If you are a late riser, I would suggest requesting a room on the first floor or above. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay. The room was clean enough but very tired and dank. I think being on the ground floor had a lot to do with this. It smelled faintly of sewage and had black mould in areas in the bathroom and around the bed. I had to get rid of a centipede that was running around the room and a few small flies before sleeping. All that being said, I did feel that the cleaning staff had made the best of the hand they had been dealt and the room was as good as it could be. In short, this hotel was fine for a 1 night stay when only really being in the room to sleep. I would not want to stay in the same room type for longer than necessary on a return trip. I would give this hotel another go as a guest in a different room as the staff and location were excellent.

Located quite far from Paris’ main attractions, pretty much basic hotel with not much amenities, breakfast buffet is okay
