We really enjoyed our stay. Very kind staff! The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower had great water pressure. I enjoyed the neighborhood which also had easy access to the metro. Would definitely stay again.

American family of 4 vacation - Great hotel! We had two rooms across from each other next to the courtyard. Rooms were nicely decorated, clean, and had everything you needed. Staff was super friendly and helped with any need we had. Location was close to amazing restaurants. Would highly reccommend.

I booked this room, among other things, because they advertised it as having air conditioning. But they then told me it's common sense not to offer air conditioning unless it's summer. Well, I would not have booked it without air conditioning.
Sure, there's a window, but the room is on the ground floor and the only window is directly facing the lobby through a tiny courtyard (that is accessible to any hotel guest). And the curtains block most of the cool air from entering anyway. So I can choose between being hot or having no privacy and not being able to block out the light.
As for the response by the owner - no idea where in Paris it was cold this week, it's been a wonderful, warm spring week.

This review is based on the standard double room in the part of the house that has an elevator.
To be frank we had a pretty terrible stay here. The doors have no sound proofing so you will hear every single time someone sneezes, coughs or enters/exits their room.
Our first night we arrived late from our flight around 1AM and were woken up at 8AM by the hotel’s own construction work. The concierge did apologize for that and promised they were done for the day. Fair enough, one night’s bad sleep doesn’t kill you.
Next night we were again out late exploring town and fell asleep around 3AM. Again, we were woken up at 8AM by the guests starting to leave their rooms, slamming the doors and talking in the corridor. At 9:30 the cleaner started vacuuming the room next door and it was as if she was standing right next to you. I had to ask her to postpone the cleaning a few hours for us to have any chance of getting some rest. At this point we were so tired that we didn’t end up doing some of the things we planned.
Our flight home was very early the next day but we sort of looked forward to that since at least we wouldn’t get woken up again (and undoubtedly, unintentionally, woke our neighbors up in the process. Sorry.) It’s truly a shame cause other than the isolation issue, it is quite a charming hotel with friendly staff and great location. The room was a good size, affordable and clean. But it failed its primary objective - to give us rest.

We had a wonderful 3-night stay in this small, clean hotel. Room was very comfortable and bathroom was excellent. Staff could not be more friendly and helpful. Perfect location on a quiet street in an authentic Parisian neighbourhood, yet just a few minutes' walk to the Metro station. Easy strolling to shops, parks, and bistros where you can sit and people-watch to your heart's content.

Update: Changed from 3 to 2 stars thanks to the companies rude response to my review. This use to be my mother’s favorite many years ago and we canceled our upcoming stays weeks ago.
Original:
We stayed in a standard room and it felt exceptionally tiny (unable to open front door and bathroom door simultaneously / not enough space to open luggage). Minimal soundproofing in windows: Noise levels were high with cafés in the street below. Breakfast was average. Reception was sadly not polite or welcoming. Great location otherwise.

Room are small, our was in the second floor (third by USA standard) with no elevator which was hard with 4 luggage and AC was weak, the room was about 76 degree with AC on, according to my indoor thermometer. Overall, it was ok, close to many restaurants and netro station in a friendly neighborhood. Breakfast was good, and staff was awesome, very friendly and helpful. Staff do deserve at 5 star.

Great location, clean, quiet, and Paris style rooms/building!

A clean boutique hotel. The staff was lovely. Yet the rooms are a bit too small.
