Our stay at Hôtel L’Échiquier Opéra Paris - MGallery was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with the utmost kindness and hospitality, making our experience truly memorable.

Exceptional Service:
We arrived in Paris very early, around 8 AM, after a long flight from Seattle. By the time we reached the hotel shortly after 9:00 AM, we were exhausted. We knew that our room wouldn’t be ready until the afternoon, as the regular check-in time is 3:00 PM. However, the front desk receptionist went above and beyond by offering us a smaller room, free of charge, so we could take a quick shower, relax, and rest a bit before our booked room was ready. This level of kindness is rare these days, and we were incredibly grateful for their thoughtfulness.

Thoughtful Touches:
We were traveling with our dog, and to our surprise and delight, the hotel staff found an old picture of our dog and created a personalized welcome sign for him! They also left treats in the room. This was such a sweet and unexpected gesture that made us feel so welcome and appreciated. The staff’s kindness extended to our dog as well, which meant the world to us.

Charming Decor and Atmosphere:
The hotel’s décor is classic Art Deco, exuding a timeless elegance. We particularly loved the old-school elevator—our little dog had a great time riding them! Every corner of the hotel is filled with character and charm, enhancing our overall experience.

Outstanding Staff:
Every person we encountered at the hotel was incredibly helpful and kind. We want to give a special thank you to Lise, who recommended a couple of restaurants that turned out to be fantastic. Her suggestions added to our wonderful time in Paris, and we truly appreciated her recommendation.

Delicious Breakfast:
The breakfast at the hotel was excellent, with a huge selection of foods that were both delicious and fresh. We loved the variety of fresh juices and bakery goods, which were top-notch. The breakfast service was outstanding, with the staff being pleasant, friendly, and attentive throughout.

Overall Experience:
We travel to Paris around twice a year, and this was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had. We are incredibly grateful for the wonderful stay and the exceptional service we received. We will definitely be returning on our future visits to Paris. Thank you for making our stay so special! Merci Beaucoup!

Our family of 4 had a great stay with the MGallery L’Echiquier. Rooms were a decent size for the middle of Paris. The family room had 2 bathrooms which we found extra handy. To most places around Paris, it was a 15 Euro G7 or Uber ride. All in all a great experience! Tea time was a nice touch for the guests.

Beautiful hotel with accommodating staff. Great location near metro and plenty of cafes/restaurants. Very comfortable and relaxing with enjoyable tea time and overall decor. Would definitely stay here again!

A very pleasant a hotel found in the middle of Paris close to most of the touristic places. In the middle of the summer, the hotel is constantly kept at a comfortable temperature which is always welcoming. Breakfast while the price is high, I thoroughly enjoyed the variety and service that was provided. Everyone in the staff were courteous, friendly and always smiling. I do also enjoy all the little treats during my stay at the hotel as well.

As a first time visitor I would have never picked this hotel. I'm glad it was picked for me. The location is surprisingly convenient, especially for train travel. It can be foot accessible if you don't mind a bit of a jaunt. Being there right before the Olympics I was really glad that we were out of the Siene area.
The staff is very friendly and looking for an opportunity to help.
The restaurant/ bar has cool decor and good food. We had breakfast and dinner there and were happy with everything we ate.
The rooms are nice. The A/C worked great. The only criticisms I have are that the water isn't very hot, and the restroom fan pulls a smell out of the drain if you leave it on and shut the restroom door. Maybe it was just my room.
I would definitely stay here again. If I get to come back to Paris, I probably will.

Excellent hotel in any respect.
I stayed in many different hotels in Paris over the years an this is my new favourite in any price range.
Location is just off the beaten path so no tourist crowds, but still within walking distance of many great sites and attractions. Who needs it metro stop is just around corner. Zone to the north is swarming with grate restaurants and authentic bars, zone to the south gets gradually more touristic, and hotel seats in the middle of it.
Hotel decor and fit is fine balance of old world charm and modern facilities.
I could not find any fault with the service, and I recommend taking breakfast at the hotel.
Rooms are quiet and comfortable, spacious (for Paris standards) and well kept.
All in all grate value.

Loved this hotel and would definitely stay here again when next in Paris. Loved the location, close to lots of restaurants and the metro. Breakfast was super and all the staff were very friendly, special thanks to Soriyah - she was lovely and very helpful. The room was very well equipped with all amenities you could need. A really great stay overall and fully recommend.

Overall our stay at the Hotel was pretty good. There was an instance where we requested for some restocking of supplies and asked for them to leave it at the front door instead, they rang the door bell once and then came straight inside and didn't even wait for us to respond. We had just finished taking a shower so we were in the middle of getting dressed. We had the 'Do not disturb' sign out front but I guess it didnt stop them from coming in. This happened twice. Aside from that, the staff were nice and friendly.

10/10 would stay again. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The hotel was spotlessly clean and was in a great location to explore the city. We would highly recommend this location. We thought it was a great value.

Wish I could stay here 1,000 times over! The room had all the space and amenities we needed. We loved the breakfast, especially the espresso made to order. The location was fantastic, located between Marais and all the central tourist attractions. Staff was attentive and responsive. Beds were comfortable. I wish we had tried the dinner there. Although our room was next to the elevator, we did not hear any elevator noise.
