Reviews
The hotel's public spaces are thoughtfully decorated with a relaxed, resort-like charm, that's a perfect stay to unwind after a busy day.
Don't eat at Marie Bell which is up the road, (was recommended to us by the reception on our arrival), the food is horrible there.
Better choice to dine in is in the hotel's Bar 38, the atmosphere was relaxing and the food is excellent.
Overall we had an awesome time in L'Échiquier hotel, we will book it again.
The breakfast is more continental and the coffee is more old-fashioned.
What impressed me was the old-fashioned elevator.
The staff were fantastic, very helpful and friendly. The rooms were lovely and comfortable. The restaurant and bar area is beautiful, the food and service was great. Afternoon tea was offered every afternoon which was a lovely surprise.
There was construction across the road during our visit which didn't affect our stay at all as work didn't start until 9am.
Will definitely stay here again.
