Philéas Lazare & Spa Hotel in Paris

I stayed at Hôtel Phileas for 6 nights and had a great experience. The room was clean and spacious for Parisian hotel, and the reception team was always friendly, helpful, and available when needed. They have a nice selection of drinks available 24 hours a day, and snacks are offered in the afternoon, which is a really nice touch.

The location is excellent, just next to Saint Lazare station, very convenient for getting around Paris. It can be a bit noisy in the area, but I stayed on the top floor and so relatively fine.

Highlight for me was the free access to the small gym. It’s simple but clean and perfectly fine for a quick workout. I was also offered two private spa sessions with access to the jacuzzi and hammam. The first session was perfect with a warm jacuzzi, although during the second session the water was a bit cold and the controls were a little tricky.

Overall, a very pleasant stay with great service and a lot of thoughtful details.

A perfect hotel to discover and rediscover Paris. We have already stayed twice this year there with my best friend and we love it (and we return very soon)! Staff is great and very helpful. Lobby and rooms (in particular XXL room) are spacious and beautifully decorated with travel related elements fitting the hotel’s name & concept. Location is great, metro and RER stations are very close and last but not least Grands magasins & shopping streets are just a stone’s throw away. There are also several very nice Chinese restaurants just behind the hotel in rue de Budapest. Hôtel Phileas Lazare & Spa has become our favourite hotel to stay in Paris ❤️.

Excellent all around. Unbeatable location near train station, shopping, Opera. Love the room and free water/coffee/breakfast. Love love the individual spa with jacuzzi and steam room. Must try. Very luxurious and it’s free. I will return here on my next Paris trip. Thank you Team P Lazare.

I stayed here for 7 nights and overall had a very good experience at this boutique hotel. The location is excellent—just steps from the train station—which made navigating Paris very convenient. The pricing was reasonable, and breakfast each morning was satisfying, with attentive service.

A particular highlight was the young Spanish gentleman who managed the breakfast shift. He was consistently superb—polite, proactive, and genuinely helpful—which made the mornings a pleasure.

That said, there are areas for improvement. Communication between teams after shift changes could be more seamless, particularly regarding important luxury item deliveries; the evening staff often seemed unaware of what had been arranged earlier in the day. Additionally, while many staff members were professional and knowledgeable, the hotel employs a number of interns, and a few lacked the same level of training and polish as the rest of the team.

There was also an unfortunate issue with an infestation in my original room. At first, my concerns were met with some hesitation—even though I am a dermatologist and could confidently identify the problem. However, once acknowledged, management quickly upgraded me to another room, which I appreciated.

Overall, this is a charming boutique hotel with a lot to offer: a great location, reasonable pricing, and a standout breakfast service. With a bit more consistency in communication and training, it could easily rise to a solid five-star experience.

Great location near the station. Bed was super comfy but room had a bit of a strange smell. Front desk staff were super nice. Great amenities in the room.

Really nice hotel! Located next to a train station close to the city center you only need about 20-30 minutes on foot to the Champs Élysées. The hotel staff was very friendly, and the breakfast service was superb - on some days there is even some live music! The rooms were clean and modern, and the hotel offers free drinks in the lounge and will happily hold your luggage until you leave. The price was very good for its location and service. Would come again!

Perfect location for station and bus stops. Lovely staff. Great room, comfy bed with all amenities and plenty of plug sockets!

The location is a 10/10. Straight facing gare saint lazare. Metro and train station. You can reach Supermarkets, shopping, patisseries, restaurants within 2 minutes walking

Rooms are spacious and very very very clean The toilet and the shower cabinet are separated.
Some people mentioned the noise caused by the station while the hotel did the job, the room is equipped with 2 windows, double glazed with sound proof each.

The location is superb.Walking distance to printemps and lafayette. also alot of good food nearby too. Highly recommend

Phileas is a very good hotel to stay, all hotel staff is very nice and speaks good English. Although it is a small hotel and you can choose a spacious room. The location is unbeatable, just have a chill walk in Pairs street then leads you to Printemps, Galeries Lafayette and Effie Tower etc. The restaurants near hotel is also good.
