If only 1 night it will be ok. You can walk 800 mt to baixa-chiado , or walk to tram 400 mt from this property.
Rooms are clean but do not have any kind of ventilation through the very hot weather the last few days. There must be Fans or ACs.
I generally like the experience and will be repeated.
More care to Toilets please they need to be fixed.
Just for note: no shampoo and hair dryer, no air conditioner, it is still worthy consider the price and location.
The way to the hostel is a real pain. If you arrive in the evening, you have to wade through the smoking party crowd to get in; there's no separate entrance for the hostel.
The rooms are okay, but there's hardly any storage or hanging space for everyone in the room or bathroom. The lockers under the bed are massive and very loud. I booked the hostel because of the curtains, but they don't help much when you're on the top bunk...

There's a party area downstairs, and the noise reaches at least the 4th floor, until 2 o clock. It's terrible! The shower head is held on by a cord, and the rubber seals on the windows are almost falling off. Disappointing! There's no breakfast included, as Google says. There's also no water, tea, or coffee, as I've seen in other hostels. It seems that the crowds count here; it's a huge complex. Not good value for money. The only good things are the location near the train station and the fact that there are towels included and soap in the bathroom.
The area on the entrance of the hostel where you can sit, is really nice. That's where I made new friends. That's one thing I love about hostels. Just starting a conversation with a stranger can make your trip 10 times better!

It is located close to the train station and near to mini markets.
The shared room was fine. Provided with electric sockets and lamp. There are cages for the backpacks(bring your own lock). Extra: it has individual curtains ! That was really nice so you can have some privacy in a shared room. Good job!
The breakfast was pretty standard. Affordable-yes. You can take it for 5€(?) if you buy it in advance at the reception desk, and it is an "all you can eat" so why not!
There is a pub on the ground floor: parties at night and also it's provided with a big screen.
The toilets were a bit far away from my room; but its ok. You still have one small sink in the shared room.
