Best Hotels in Elounda

This was my fifth visit to the Blue Palace and my first under the new regime - Phaea. The service was over the top incredible. The concierge is perhaps the best and most responsive team I’ve ever dealt with

We didn't know the previous version of this hotel to compare to but we loved the "new" version, with all the thoughtful gestures towards sustainability and efforts to integrate with Cretan culture & foods, etc - whilst still maintaining the quality and personalised service you expect from a 5-star place

Yes, it's a smaller "boutique" property and OK, it hasn't got 18 restaurants and 6 pools and golf course and helipad and watersports centre with giant slide - blah-blah-blah - but that doesn't mean that the experience is any less luxurious

We made a daytrip to the Omalos Plateau & Diktamos (Zeus) cave one day and climbed to the top of the mountains (high enough that everything was covered in a freezing mist!) and were back in time for a lovely dinner in the main restaurant

The location is sublime with the views to Spinalonga Island; sunset dinners at the Blue Door Taverna on the beach are just magical and lots of local attractions are within easy driving or boating distance

If anything, the smaller size means you feel like the staff really treat you as individuals (even friends!) rather than just another dollar sign with a room number attached

Really was one of the best experiences of my life! I went there for my honeymoon and it was amazing!!! The staff are so kind and so friendly, from the first moment they make us feel very comfortable! The service was also the best! The room was very clean, comfortable and very quiet!! The best part was the view from our window

A great place for privacy and relaxation. Good service, delicious cuisine, beautiful large area, clean water in the sea.

The resort's mini market is a good place for shopping with a various selection and prices that are lower than in the duty free

Would definitely return here if back in Crete! Couple improvements/things to note are that the water in the pools was considerably colder than the sea or the main pools and this was the first time I was charged for water in a 5*

What a beautiful hotel! Adults only, perfect to rest and for fun, activities, pools, great food, especially the buffet. The only thing I thought can be improved is that the sea can be a little bit more clean

It’s an amazing place! I’m in love with it! I can recommend to spend romantic or family vacation or stay here alone. It doesn’t matter, because this hotel is good for everything) fantastic food, very hospitable staff

Situated on the fabulous Elouda bay, clear water, secluded beaches. In proximity to good restaurants in Elounda and Agios. The facility and service is superb

The architecture and decoration of the spa is stunning! The food was also of very good quality (we tried few salads and pasta dishes). Without doubt the best spa I have ever visited! Thank you all so much!

A magnificent location with excellent service. The hotel staff is very courteous and serviced. A pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. It is highly recommended to take a room with a private pool

The best beach

It was the first time we stayed in a resort and it was a really pleasant experience. it has set the standard (we spent the second half in another 5*, different brand and hotel in Chania

Great Hotel in a lovely setting, staff attentive, food, buffet breakfast and dinner,but selection out of this world.

Breakfast and dinner - very good, with fresh, healthy and testy food. But coffee at the breakfast is very bad

Fabulous hotel, service first class, staff very accommodating, all in all hard to fault. Giorgios, Panos, Natalie, stavlous excellent, tbf staff that went above and beyond too many to name. Will return again for sure.

Excellent service, unique location. This is the utmost quiet place for those who need privacy. You get genuine attention from the hotel personnel. The lagune and the sea floor are excellent too

A superb hotel, from the Elounda collection of Maré, Porto and Peninsula. Manolis, the manager and his super friendly team always make us feel great, on arrival and while we stay

Being surrounded by these bodies of water, they have their own Private Sandy Beach where you can swim, snorkel, relax and just watch the world go by. Deckchairs, sunshades, and towels are available to use

Stayed in the Presidential 1 bedroom villa for 3 nights ! Amazing time. we took a helicopter from Mykonos so we were able to land right at the resorts helipad

The beach area, the restaurants, the attention to all details, are all first class! A unique experience, from first to last minute

The best place to spend quality family time! My 3 children enjoyed the kids club and all the organized activities every day. Great room with amazing views! We stayed in a 2 bedroom family suite with our own private pool

Service and staff members are a joy. Haris greeted us when we arrived with a cold refreshing lemonade and walked us through everything about the resort

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed. From the start you feel so welcomed (the reception desk is very helpful and super polite)

Throughout our entire stay he ensured all our needs were met and exceeded. He was very personable and helpful. Wait staff all throughout the resort were great as well. Beach front area is beautiful with wonderful views

Kids camp was a big hit and gave us a much needed break. The huge buffet style breakfast and dinners were really delicious. Pool and beach bars had good lunch options

One of the best hotels I've ever been to, if not the best, especially if you value the astonishing design of the property as such - coloured marble bars, reception desk, artistic lamps - really beautiful place

The hotel is beautifully built and set in a great location overlooking the sea. The staff provide excellent service in a very friendly, courteous and polite manner. No is never an option with them

Everything is solved with a big smile (even though the masks hide it, you can "see" their eyes smiling). Highly recommended for recharging your batteries. Thank you Cayo team!! We will meet again

The private pool in every room is a unique feature which affords you your own space and privacy. Cayo comes with all the trimmings and they have their own beach which is a few minutes walk away

The perfect place to relax and feel Cretan hospitality. The hotel is amazing, they offer sea view and private pools for all rooms. The crew makes you feel as a guest and not as a customer

Super accommodating and very friendly staff. The facilities are really beautiful and the view from the rooms is breathtaking. Food was really nice as well and we ate at the resort daily

Overall, the hotel could use some renovation; you can feel the passage of time in the rooms. The service is very good, and the view is superb. The pool is inviting for activities but less so for relaxation

Don't give your transfer driver in the hotel any tip, if you do he's going to expect a tip from you every ride you're going to take. Other than that, they obviously try to do their best

Actually, this is just one of the hotels in the entire complex. Unfortunately, guests from the other hotels can use the pool and have the communal breakfast, which can be a bit confusing and noisy

Unfortunately, in my opinion, the water is too cold. It was more comfortable to swim in the sea than in the pool. The hotel is slightly off the beaten path, so having a car is recommended

The balcony furniture is terribly uncomfortable :( Important note: they could use someone to inform guests about the location of the pool towels or make it more visible

Fabulous service. Food absolutely superb! Has a really lovely atmosphere and nothing too much trouble. Suite was very good quality with excellent facilities and highly attenetive room service. Highly recommended!

We stayed in the Samos villa for our honeymoon and the views were breathtaking. We had a private pool and massage room. Maria at the front desk is so sweet and the staff is amazing. We can’t wait to come back one day!

Nice view on Elounda bay and the surroundings

We stayed for close to a week at this hotel and were a bit disappointed. The positive is that the service - at the reception, in the restaurant, and the cleaners - was a solid-five star. Everyone was so nice and helpful

We got a two-bedroom deluxe villa with our own swimming pool, jacuzzi, and sauna. But the unit felt old; we are guessing it was built 30 or so years ago and has not been updated

We have zero complaints on that front. However, there were some important negatives about the hotel that will prevent us from returning. (1) The rooms are very dated

Everything was perfect The price is big, but totally worth it. The renovated rooms are really pricey but totally worth it , if you stay in the renovated rooms you can go to this really nice beach (there are two beaches)

Made with lovely cucumber, olives, tomatoes and a chunks of feta cheese to give you a tasty Mediterranean flavored dish. The place is well maintained with clean infinity pool and lovely sea facing rooms

Excellent service, amazing view, amazing experience.

Knowing about Greek culture, the behaviour of the staff, their service with love and the food here are to die for. I still remember the Choriatiki which is a must try with almost every meal

A resort of superb natural beauty and aestetics!!! Once you go there you don't want to leave!!! Luxurious accommodation combined with true greek hospitality !!!

Excellent hotel, great staff, stunning views. A couple of quibbles though, like the fact that the air-conditioning in our room was too weak, and being made to wait too long for our room

This is a beautiful boutique hotel which ha been recently refurbished to a very high standard. The staff and the food is excellent. The Sushil restaurant serves some great dishes

Bathroom is what you would expect from a boutique hotel (waterfall shower, marble finishing and overall good standard). TV is programmed for 25% German channels and various other standard (news) channels

Great value for money but make sure you book a sea view room. The others are not so great in size and views

The rooms are excellent, but in-room amenities should be more standardized across all room types (the deluxe rooms get more soap/shampoo than superior rooms, plus get daily free water while superior rooms do not)

One of the best (if not the one) hotel I've been so far. The service is amazing, the rooms are beautiful. The pool and the bar are great. This is a must stay hotel in ag. Nikolaos/Elunda area

My son wanted to play in the water with the others several times and asked, but for some reason he was not invited. But fortunately, he didn't get bitter, so there was no problem and we didn't take the matter to heart

We knew they had salt water in them, so we arrived prepared with goggles so it wasn't confusing. I was rather happy for that, because that way I didn't have to worry about normal water causing problems

We were in room 118 and its location is really steep, but it was only difficult to get up the first two days, after that we walked up or took a taxi without any problems

Unfortunately, one of the slides injured my son's back, but after that he paid attention to only sliding on it while sitting down and it was no longer a problem

We really liked the lady in the shop (unfortunately, I don't know her name), she is always kind and smiling. My kids really enjoyed the slides and pools

We had a fantastic week here. A wonderful view, great and varied food was really different every day, the staff was very kind

It's seems unfair to single out from so many good people, but a heads up to Nikos in the Poolbar, Dimitris and Anna in the Restaurant and Rena on reception

The staff were all wonderful - all reception staff couldn't do enough to help you, Albert was great collecting and taking our luggage, restaurant staff were welcoming and friendly, Vasilikis who ran the pool bar in the day was always smiling and friendly and Simos who ran the bar in the evening knew what we drank and looked after us every evening

The food was always lovely with lots of choice and kept constantly topped up. Never had any issues finding something to eat at all. We loved it so much here and felt so relaxed and welcomed that we are trying to

Relaxing,clean and well maintained hotel. Only a few minutes far from anything you might need ,but far enough to keep the nights quiet and relaxing!! Pool and room balcony offered amazing views of Elounda

Had the loveliest of holidays. Staff are great, helpful and smiling 🌝 Cleanliness is second to none. Breakfast food is as good as similar priced hotels, restaurant food was really good quality.

Marvellous place to stay friendly staff great rooms top place.

Ideal location quiet but only a short walk from the town and harbour where most of the wonderful tavernas are. The staff are the jewel in the crown , so friendly and accommodating

We love it here and will be back next year travel restrictions permitting

The room was a bit noisy, noise coming from the swimming pool during the day. During the night there was no noise. Small balcony with limited views. Nice swiming pool and correct room

Kitchen and restaurant seems a little busy and the food is average. Nothing spectacular to celebrate or criticise. 2 out the 3 nights was 7/10 and one night was a 5/10 for the dinner. The breakfast was a 6/10 all days

Also very close to the excellent bus service to be able to jump on and off buses to explore this BEAUTIFUL island!!! I cannot wait to go back!!!!!! Thank you for a fantastic stay, see you VERY soon!!!!

My Mother and I had a REALLY REALLY wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were soooo friendly and EXTREMELY kind. It is a family run hotel which has absolutely breathtaking stunning sea views

Hotel has two decent pools Rooms a little outdated. No bug mesh on any of the windows so had a a couple of bugs in the room. Needs some small improvements but good for a couple of nights

Good hotel with nice views of the ocean. Hotel is in a quiet location between Elounda and Plaka. Good shower with lots of pressure. Breakfast was nice with lots of options
