Hotels with sauna in Elounda

We didn't know the previous version of this hotel to compare to but we loved the "new" version, with all the thoughtful gestures towards sustainability and efforts to integrate with Cretan culture & foods, etc - whilst still maintaining the quality and personalised service you expect from a 5-star place

Yes, it's a smaller "boutique" property and OK, it hasn't got 18 restaurants and 6 pools and golf course and helipad and watersports centre with giant slide - blah-blah-blah - but that doesn't mean that the experience is any less luxurious

We made a daytrip to the Omalos Plateau & Diktamos (Zeus) cave one day and climbed to the top of the mountains (high enough that everything was covered in a freezing mist!) and were back in time for a lovely dinner in the main restaurant

The location is sublime with the views to Spinalonga Island; sunset dinners at the Blue Door Taverna on the beach are just magical and lots of local attractions are within easy driving or boating distance

If anything, the smaller size means you feel like the staff really treat you as individuals (even friends!) rather than just another dollar sign with a room number attached

Lina Stratsiou, the Front Office Manager, was incredible, really going above and beyond - even months before we arrived in Crete, the level of effort & attention to detail she showed as we corresponded via email

5 star hote! Private beach with 5 min walking (transfer can be arranged) Helpful staff Many sport and spa activities (highly priced) Car is necessary due to its distance from closest towns (15min to Agios and 5 to Elounda) Walking to Elounda about 30min Good restaurant and bar but very expensive

The service is superb and people are warm and friendly. The location including the beach are pristine. Rooms are modern and well maintained. Bathrooms are proper and state of the art Not cheap but worth every penny

The architecture and decoration of the spa is stunning! The food was also of very good quality (we tried few salads and pasta dishes). Without doubt the best spa I have ever visited! Thank you all so much!

Amazing Spa facilities with great view! The Spa personnel and manager are very friendly and professional. The treatments I did were absolutely incredible. The environment is relaxing and inspiring

Whatever I write about the hotel and its people is not enough. They just want to make everything so easy for you, with unpretentious kindness, which is the definition of a holiday and relaxation

! We enjoyed our stays very much!! We were in the new building!! The rooms were big quited and very comfortable, the water pressure in the overhead shower was weaker than expected

Absolutely fantastic stay! The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, and the rooms were immaculate with stunning views. The amenities were top-notch, especially the pool and spa

We were also very lucky with the weather only having one day with cloud but probably regularly this way due to the island position. Very relaxing stay, quiet and peaceful

I had a wonderful stay at Tui Blue Elounda Village Resort & Spa by AQUILA. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful

What a beautiful hotel! Adults only, perfect to rest and for fun, activities, pools, great food, especially the buffet. The only thing I thought can be improved is that the sea can be a little bit more clean

Only slight criticisms there are quite a few add-ons ,paying for water with evening meals ,90 Euros for late check out for four hours or 30 minute slot for three adults for a complimentary shower room wasn't the best

Everything was perfect The price is big, but totally worth it. The renovated rooms are really pricey but totally worth it , if you stay in the renovated rooms you can go to this really nice beach (there are two beaches)

Made with lovely cucumber, olives, tomatoes and a chunks of feta cheese to give you a tasty Mediterranean flavored dish. The place is well maintained with clean infinity pool and lovely sea facing rooms

Very cozy place! The rooms are spacious with huge balconies (there is a place for sun beds and table with chairs). Gorgeous views of the surrounding nature. Interior design at the highest level

Knowing about Greek culture, the behaviour of the staff, their service with love and the food here are to die for. I still remember the Choriatiki which is a must try with almost every meal

Gorgeous hotel with well appointed views and wonderful facilities. The restaurants are varied and serve a great mix of specialities, and the staff is excellent. A little bit of paradise!

There is an indoor swimming pool and gym right near the beach. The only downside for us was that it was just over an hour away from the airport costing around 100euro

Perfect for families and couples. From getting us at each meal go ask which table we prefer, to towel and drinks service on the beach, to the clean rooms

Everything you would expect from a 5star hotel. The staff were very attentive and polite, the rooms were clean and modern with stunning views all around

This complex is very big however getting around to the different restaurants and bars was easy on the buggy’s. The spa facilities were 10/10 with a wide choice of treatments

Throughout our entire stay he ensured all our needs were met and exceeded. He was very personable and helpful. Wait staff all throughout the resort were great as well. Beach front area is beautiful with wonderful views

We had a lovely stay of 10 nights at this hotel. All of the staff were extremely courteous and helpful and made sure our stay was the best it could be. We would not hesitate to come back here

The family pool is stunning as are the kids facilities, including the teenager area which benefits from xboxes, pool table, table football, table tennis, football pool

I would suggest the following for feedback - which whilst did not take away from our overall experience at the hotel, could be improved for future guests

Especially as the pot was topped up with milk throughout the course of breakfast - this often led to cold and overly milky porridge. A real shame for us porridge lovers! 2

Porridge at breakfast would often be cold - I do not think the electric hob where the cast iron pot was placed was hot enough to maintain a desired temperature

Very cool, there is a pool, games are played for both children and adults) The food is just waste, but different nutrition conditions are different for different bracelets (. I only stayed positive, I recommend.

A beautiful hotel in a fantastic location with a sea and mountain view. The food was delicious with plenty of choice and our 2 year old son loved playing in the pools

Just returned from the Beautiful Island of Crete, having enjoyed the beautiful weather & the hospitality awarded by the locals to our Family, Grand Children & Us Oldies! We stayed in the Elounda Water Park Residence and this place certainly was the "glue" which pulled everything together we expected from the island and truly made the holiday the relaxing experience we hoped

Arriving in the dark, we were amazed at the Stunning views from our rooms in the morning - we never tired of that view. The rooms we were given were 1st rate, very clean & modern. Cleaned daily to the highest standards

My son wanted to play in the water with the others several times and asked, but for some reason he was not invited. But fortunately, he didn't get bitter, so there was no problem and we didn't take the matter to heart

The restaurant staff are so friendly, the cleaners are amazing, our room was spotless every day and I loved the Jumbo club entertainment team, they were great fun! Thanks for having us, we hope to return again!

They have a tennis court, spa and the transportation in the resort is done by golf carts which arrive quickly. All the stuff is very gentle, ready to help you and bringing you whatever you need

The service in this hotel is amazing! They take care of your needs. All our requests were accomplished fast. The cleanliness of the room was great. The gym is pretty well equipped

Only negatives are the iron and the iron board. And during breakfast, personnel could be slightly more attentive with coffee. But to be fair this is nitpicking

Minor comment the room is small and towards the unmodernsied - bathroom is not comfortable to use as the water goes everywhere and closets are dysfunctional

This is a beautiful boutique hotel which ha been recently refurbished to a very high standard. The staff and the food is excellent. The Sushil restaurant serves some great dishes

I found the staff extremely helpful. Not anything super amazing, but plentiful and full of variety. Plus I could make my own tea which made me happy. The bottle of wine they gave us was delicious

What a lovely hotel. The stuff was excellent. The suite had a unique character and the hotel made for a wonderful, relaxing getaway. The private pool in our room was a lot larger than they usually come. Recommend!

We stayed in this hotel during the shoulder season when it was 5 days from closing down for the season. They upgraded us from a 1 bedroom suite to a 2 bedroom suite

I was blown away with the fantastic private pool, the balcony view and the amazing room. They also had air condition that worked really well. Keep in mind, I was there end of October so the AC was not really needed

Overall, the hotel could use some renovation; you can feel the passage of time in the rooms. The service is very good, and the view is superb. The pool is inviting for activities but less so for relaxation

Actually, this is just one of the hotels in the entire complex. Unfortunately, guests from the other hotels can use the pool and have the communal breakfast, which can be a bit confusing and noisy

One of the best hotels I've ever been to, if not the best, especially if you value the astonishing design of the property as such - coloured marble bars, reception desk, artistic lamps - really beautiful place

The hotel is beautifully built and set in a great location overlooking the sea. The staff provide excellent service in a very friendly, courteous and polite manner. No is never an option with them

Everything is solved with a big smile (even though the masks hide it, you can "see" their eyes smiling). Highly recommended for recharging your batteries. Thank you Cayo team!! We will meet again

The private pool in every room is a unique feature which affords you your own space and privacy. Cayo comes with all the trimmings and they have their own beach which is a few minutes walk away

The perfect place to relax and feel Cretan hospitality. The hotel is amazing, they offer sea view and private pools for all rooms. The crew makes you feel as a guest and not as a customer

Super accommodating and very friendly staff. The facilities are really beautiful and the view from the rooms is breathtaking. Food was really nice as well and we ate at the resort daily

We had a private pool and beach access which was WONDERFUL! The view of the sunrise was unforgettable! We also went to the spa and experienced the pool, saunas and steam room (A+ experience)

They left us a bunch of wine , fruits , cakes and food in our villa waiting for us ! The hidden gem of this suite was the walkway down to a private jetty right on the sea ! Amazing little spot ! We also took out the resorts yacht for a day sail where I proposed to my girlfriend ! They set it up beautifully! 10/10 for style and service ! We did not visit the hotels pool since we had our own private...

Incredible experience! This was an amazing property and the service, along with the amenities were great from start to finish! My husband and I went to Elounda on the third leg of our island hopping honeymoon and we most definitely saved the best for last! We were warmly greeted with drinks and snacks upon arrival as well as a bottle of champagne in our room (as well as the traditional honey and nuts

The staff there was so accommodating (especially our waiter, who is hospitality at the nearby university!) We also frequented the beach bar quite a bit and Andreas was awesome! The breakfast offerings on the property were also amazing… several traditional Cretan dishes

Fabulous hotel, service first class, staff very accommodating, all in all hard to fault. Giorgios, Panos, Natalie, stavlous excellent, tbf staff that went above and beyond too many to name. Will return again for sure.

A superb hotel, from the Elounda collection of Maré, Porto and Peninsula. Manolis, the manager and his super friendly team always make us feel great, on arrival and while we stay

Modern takes on Greek classics from an exceptional chef and plenty of choice for the youngsters too. Awesome wine list, mostly Greek (which was great to see) with advice given by a wonderful sommelier

We loved our family villa! Much better than the pictures. Cozy and modern furniture. Very friendly service and wonderful restaurant.

Communal pool was fantastic and not crowded at all, as was the private beach owned by the resort (4K away but a reliable shuttle service provided by the resort for free) where they had good food options and drinks

We got a two-bedroom deluxe villa with our own swimming pool, jacuzzi, and sauna. But the unit felt old; we are guessing it was built 30 or so years ago and has not been updated

We stayed in the Samos villa for our honeymoon and the views were breathtaking. We had a private pool and massage room. Maria at the front desk is so sweet and the staff is amazing. We can’t wait to come back one day!

Amazing hotel and it is very family oriented, the staff were exceptional ( Georgia, Ismail from the hotel , TUI staff ( Louis and Stasha ), plenty of pools and very excellent water slides, the food was delicious and the main restaurant location and view is awesome

What a fabulous week we've had. Just using the free courtesy room to freshen up before the coach trip to the airport then back to the UK. Great food. Great refreshments. Great pools. Amazing staff. I can't fault it.

Breakfast buffet is really good. There is always meat, which are gaining as you want, and not as the Turks under the painting. There is practically no beach but has a pool

If to speak about super comfortable in terms of the weather and hotel service, then great! Amazing feelings and memories left and the hotel itself Elounda.

Kitchen and restaurant seems a little busy and the food is average. Nothing spectacular to celebrate or criticise. 2 out the 3 nights was 7/10 and one night was a 5/10 for the dinner. The breakfast was a 6/10 all days

Car park is behind the hotel at Elounda heights, steep hill to drive so be ready for the challenge. The elevators are small but it works. There are a lot of stairs if you live the exercise

The pool was well designed but with a weird green color when I was there. It is like swimming in a lake. Has a kids area and lots of sun beds. Reception and bar Staff are super friendly

Honestly one of the best hotel experiences we’ve made so far. Great service and even greater relaxation guaranteed! Authentic greek, nice-to-look-at architecture meets the kindest staff you could only imagine

Had no problem when requested a change of room. Next morning offered a choice of two rooms. Poolside bar service is superb. Easy 20 minute walk into Elounda and 6 Euro taxi ride back if you don't fancy the walk

I had a look at the spa and it looked wonderful, with a pool, jacuzzi, couples treatments and steam/sauna

From the moment we arrived we felt the 'WOW' factor. The welcome drink with that incredible view was wonderful. We were then swiftly taken to our villa by golf buggy and met with two wonderful ladies who showed us around

We really loved that the seats everywhere (lounges and restaurants) were always really comfortable! The food was excellent, breakfast had endless choice and even the evening buffets were plentiful and always fresh and tasty

Everything about it oozed elegance and the private terrace and pool were just magical, not to mention the view. The pool remained warm throughout our stay and was so very welcoming after a day out exploring

The bed was super comfy and there was AC and ceiling fans in every room. I was a little apprehensive before going as I knew the resort was very large and built on either sides of a hill

Elounda is beautiful and we walked to the lovely little village of Plaka and got on a boat over to Spinalonga - a total must see. Only an hour from Heraklion airport, a pleasant drive

I would rate this(these) hotel/apartments as 5 stars but not for the usual reasons you would like good service and posh rooms but for the friendliness of the staff and how upon arrival you are treated as old friends and family

Very good attitude and amazingly helpful, they give a laid back impression but are very professional, friendly and caring staff, my wife is blind and they made effort to make our life easy and comfortable, apart from the location it was all the people there that made our holiday such a success, thank you all the George's, Olga from Sparta, elleandia and all those behind the scenes who kept the apartments...

The only fault I can find with this amazing place right on the sea front with sun beds, a swimming pool, swim up bar a gym and many other features is that the three of the friendly staff are all called George

Friendly helpful staff, the sea is right outside the front, clean rooms and a short stroll to centre of Elounda. There is an open air bar at the entrance to the apartments with a small pool

As soon as you arrive you are greeted even if it is early hours of the morning, all the staff are friendly and make the most of your visit, very chatty and relaxed environment

Second time here and it won't be our Last! Beautiful location and the nicest people. Will certainly be returning next year
