The welcome, information, and check-in process were all very professional and friendly. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is situated on a steep hill, but buggies and elevators make access easy. This was the third and final stop of our Crete trip. Based on this, I can't say the value for money was good. Paying 1.5 euros for a coffee capsule in the room is insignificant for those staying here, but I must say it doesn't look very appealing. The sea in the area is worse than other areas because it's located between two islands. The hotel beach is neglected and old. We didn't like our room. It was unusable and old, and we also had to constantly fight off spiders and cockroaches. Yes, the hotel is surrounded by nature, but this isn't the first time we've stayed at a hotel like this. This suggests that the pest control isn't done properly or effectively. Finally, I'd like to mention that the hotel's breakfast was varied and delicious.

A Perfect Stay
I spent 12 days in a Deluxe room at the Royal Marmin Boutique Hotel and everything was simply flawless. From cleanliness to service quality, from attention to detail to the elegance of the property, every aspect exceeded my expectations.

The staff were exceptionally kind and attentive, making me feel like a truly valued guest from the very first moment. The atmosphere is relaxing and refined, perfect for unwinding and enjoying the stunning setting of Elounda.

During my stay, I also used the spacious and well-equipped gym, which was a great bonus and added to the overall comfort of the experience.

I have absolutely nothing to complain about, this was a perfect stay, and I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking top-level comfort, beauty, and hospitality.

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay. The views are breathtaking, the atmosphere is peaceful, and we enjoyed the spa and the private beach. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff were always kind and very helpful.
A few small disappointments: the welcome drink was just water, the internal shuttle service was slow, and coffee capsules in the room came with an extra charge — which felt unnecessary for a hotel of this standard.
Overall, we highly recommend the hotel for anyone looking to unwind in a beautiful and quiet setting. We'd love to come back.

This hotel was labeled as a “five star” but I would leave it as a very bare minimum three star. The facilities seem to not have been updated since the 80s - nor has the accommodations been deep cleaned / upholstered / upgraded since then. From the sunbeds, dining chairs, bedroom furniture and cabinets - everything is stained, faded or majorly chipped. The “private beach” is a piece of concrete with sand added on top. Want to go for a nice evening stroll at this “beach?” The beach service doesn’t clean up before the shift closes - there is empty wine bottles with buckets, used dinnerware, etc laying out all night all over.
We booked pension - dinner and breakfast. We showed up right when dinner service was opened and did not feel safe to eat anything. Most things were slimy, unlabeled and looked reheated.
Our first room flooded after taking a shower - where we were moved to another room. This can happen anywhere and I don’t take it against a hotel. However, the cleaning standard in the next room was matched to the first- hair on the floor and in the bed. Black trash bags standing outside the door that stayed forgotten overnight. Quality of the room was the same - lamp shade dented in, saggy fabric headboards, hospital lighting.
We ended up booking a flight home and cutting our vacation short as this hotel was very pricey and did not refund our accommodation. There are many WONDERFUL places to stay in Crete - this? NOT it.

We had the most amazing stay! We booked a room with a private jacuzzi and sea view – and it was absolutely worth it. Waking up to that breathtaking view every morning was a dream.
The location of the room was perfect – on the upper side of the hotel but also on the same level as the breakfast area and the pool, which made it super convenient.
There are elevators that take you directly from the rooms to the beach, which is a huge plus.
The pool area is beautiful and has plenty of sunbeds, and the beach is just perfect – with a great restaurant right there.
The room was clean, well-equipped, and very comfortable.
But above all – the service was outstanding! Every staff member we met was so kind and helpful – from the front desk to the restaurant team.
Special thanks to Mario from the breakfast restaurant – he was truly amazing.
Thank you for a wonderful stay – we’ll definitely come back!

The service in this hotel is amazing! They take care of your needs. All our requests were accomplished fast. The cleanliness of the room was great. The gym is pretty well equipped. They have a tennis court, spa and the transportation in the resort is done by golf carts which arrive quickly. All the stuff is very gentle, ready to help you and bringing you whatever you need. A well spent holiday, lovely experience! I would definitely recommend this hotel!

This was one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in. Locating and views impressive, service from the staff impeccable and food amazing. A well kitted out gym, pool, three restaurants, tennis court, and carts to transport you around. We’d love to stay again sometime.

Overall fantastic stay. Staff very please t and hospitable definitely 5🌟 service. Balcony of the room was stunning. Breakfast phenomenal. Minor comment the room is small and towards the unmodernsied - bathroom is not comfortable to use as the water goes everywhere and closets are dysfunctional.

The hotel is very beautiful, the hotel has its own swimming pool. And some rooms have their own private swimming pool. From room you can have a beautiful view of the sea, you can see the sunrise, you can see the mountains. Room setting is also very cute, daily cleaning. The workers are also very nice and friendly.

What a week I have had. I can not rate this hotel highly enough. The location and view is stunning, the amenities excellent and the staff phenomenal. As a solo traveller I was made to feel incredibly welcome at all times and treated with an abundance of warmth - nothing was too much to ask!
I also have a nut allergy and I have to say the hotel went above and beyond - chef (what a guy!) came and gave me a tour every evening to let me know what I could and could not eat (there was not much I could not eat!) and he even made me special bread 😊 all the bars and restaurants were made aware which meant I didn’t have to keep letting people know - for those with an allergy you know what a difference that can make so that you don’t feel like you are inconveniencing people all the time but you feel safe.
Mario was the person who greeted me and from that moment was the smiling presence at all times - he was a star at booking my day trips and my reservations at the other restaurants in the hotel - in fact he was an absolute star all round!
John the manager also deserves a shout out. I was not happy with my original room (nothing at all wrong with the room I just was not happy with the location) he was straight on to sorting it out and did not make me feel bad at all and he was another friendly face that I could not do more to help me throughout the week.
On top of the fantastic food served in the usual restaurant which was part of the half board I also tried both the Poseidon and samurai - both equally fantastic - both with again fabulous staff- both with delicious menus - if you are coming I would recommend giving both a go during the course of your stay you won’t regret it!
I could go on ( but I will stop now!) but all I really want to say is every single member of staff at this resort deserve the highest praise for their dedication, assistance and friendly nature and I would recommend anyone thinking about coming here to do it! Now!!
Share your experiences, help others make the right choice!
Think about what you would like to know if you were looking for a review about a place to relax. Please describe in detail what you liked and what you didn't. What would you advise to other guests and to the hotel owner. The more fully you tell about the hotel, the easier it will be for other people to make a choice and they will be very grateful to you!
