Hotels with pool on first line in Elounda

Some basic maintenance/ repairs need to done: Cracked tiles need replacing. Tiles need to be cleaned (a previous reviewer has included a photo). Soft closure on one of the pool vents needs fixing

Misleading Marketing Negatives Marketing and website over sells. It has the feel of a large hotel, which after a bit of research was the case. It rebranded and remarketed in 2024

There is no service around the pool,meaning you have to go into the hotel to get any drinks or food. Often we ordered drinks and when they were brought out to us other people would request drinks from the member of staff

Some parts of the complex feel a bit dated. The rooms have all the amenities but the decor is very early 2000’s and needs a refresh to justify the prices. The pool and surroundings are a bit shabby and need a refresh

Prior to booking, we reached out with our concerns about construction and were told construction would not take place during the summer season. When we arrived, we were disappointed to see that was not the case

A luxury resort, with the prices they charge, who owns the property under construction should not be doing construction during their open season

Excellent service, excellent accommodation,excellent food. Wonderfull views, spacious room large pool and private beach with all the water sports required

Evening buffet even better, changed everyday with multiple choices plus multiple exceptional a la carte restaurants Italian il Borro, Japanese Sumosan, and the yacht club

No crowds, no queuing, no hassle polite friendly ‘family’ team , no worries only a chilled out paradise

Absolutely the most wonderful property- beautiful beach, well-maintained and beautifully renovated rooms, excellent food and excellent, personal service. I’ve returned multiple times and will keep going back.

Full English breakfast, continental, fruits and cheese and meats, not forgetting pastries

the staff was very friendly! the privet pool had very cold water colder then the sea, with salty seawater, the restaurants prices were high with a bit of a pretentious vibe

For example, we found the mattress too hard, this was not a problem, they immediately fitted a topper. On arrival, we were upgraded to a deluxe room with steam room and Jacuzzi bath and more floor space

Our room was in the spa building and had a fantastic sea view. Although the rooms are perhaps a little dated for some they are spotlessly clean and the furnishings are of good quality. Our room was cleaned twice daily

I've travelled to some incredible places in my life, but very few have come close to my recent trip and stay at this beautiful hotel in Elounda. I could write a book not a review

The staff were amazing, incredibly attentive, polite, helpful and professional. From the moment we arrived they could not do enought for us

There is a choice of 2 beaches. The larger of the 2 has a nice bar, next the watersports area. This aerves snacks and drinks during the day. Make sure you see the guys who work the beach on your first day

Review of Elounda Bay Hotel, Crete Nestled in an idyllic setting, Elounda Bay Hotel boasts stunning, calm beaches perfect for swimming and a selection of inviting pools

We walked into Elounda every day to buy supplies. But unfortunately during our stay, there was a heatwave of 45c. So it was uncomfortable but we just took our time

As outlined in other reviews there are undoubtedly areas of the hotel which could be improved to make it perfect but our overall experience was very good

The beach staff are friendly, but their service is slow and unreliable, which can frustrate guests seeking a seamless experience

We have just returned from our holiday at Elounda Bay Hotel, we had a lovely De luxe Sea View room, with fantastic views

Also all the staff in every area of the hotel and in particular Nikos who arranged a room change for us and Kostas in the restaurant made a difference with their friendly helpful customer orientated service

Our whole family had a very relaxing and enjoyable experience from laying out at their private beach to watching the sunrise from our balcony in the morning. I am already planning my next stay here!!!

Fantastic resort in the Olive groves, with spectacular views on to Spinalonga island! Exceptional service at all the restaurants. Really warm and helpful staff at the Haute Living, especially Lily & Eleni

There are various room choices, the pool villas being superb with an array of personal facilities including a washing machine. There is a private beach with a bar and food

If you visit Crete, Domes of Elounda is a “must stay”! From arrival to departure we were so impressed with this resort. The facility is beautiful and the accommodations were spacious and welcoming

The beach restaurant is fantastic for lunch, with great food and a superb atmosphere. Nikos form the beach is kind, funny, helpful and always in a good mood. Both the pool and the beach are beautiful

We especially appreciated our private pool! Food served at both the breakfast and dinner buffets were absolutely delicious

During our stay, our teenagers took a golf lesson, and everyone enjoyed a massage. The pool, the beach, and the views are all stunning—it’s a place where you naturally slow down and enjoy every moment

29 years ago we honeymooned here. Time passed and we finally found our way back. It has only become better one better. Our room had a private pool with stunning views

The beach is quite small and the shade of the umbrellas may be insufficient at times, but there is an area under the olive trees that I particularly loved. A few spots on the cliffs are simply spectacular

She accommodated any requests with a genuine caring attitude. Hotel has several restaurant options if you don’t want to leave and explore the island. Highly recommend the Italian a Japanese restaurants

Private beach is peaceful, with a fun bar area. Thomas and crew will get you favorite cocktail and some finger foods

The location, while not offering the very best view of Mirabello Bay and Spinalonga Island – which lies further north – is still breathtaking and its most fascinating feature in my opinion is the secluded, elegant, cozy, reserved, and quiet atmosphere

Kelari, the à la carte restaurant, was by far the best dining experience – superb food, though the €20 half-board allowance doesn’t go far. The evening buffet was €45 per person, per night if we hadn’t booked half board

The staff so friendly and welcoming and not intrusive. Our room was amazing and watching sunrise was incredible. I had the BEST head, neck, shoulder and back massage with Eleni, she has magical fingers!!! Thank you ☺️

Well, what can I say about this beautiful hotel. It's my 2nd time to visit this year, first time with my husband and kids and second time with my mum and we were welcomed back like family

The views from this beautiful hotel are only matched by the warmth of the staff. Don't be fooled by the calm, laid-back atmosphere. This hotel runs like clockwork

Wi-Fi was okay, but not amazing. Setting up a Fire Stick on the TV was a struggle and staff couldn’t help; limited built-in streaming. We were upgraded to a Superior room with a private pool, which was a real highlight

Also in the bathroom there is no curtain, after showering the whole floor wet. From hotel to sea beach is a narrow lane where a mess

Great little place,hills and steps to contend with,so bear this in mind if booking,but they do have a golf buggy and are more than happy to assist you up and down driveway as long as you communicate with them,nice breeze around pool which is much needed with the heat,food was amazing,no complaints

Gregory the bartender was another notable member of staff, as well as the manager, who was always on hand to help. Overall the staff really make this place feel special. The views from this place were incredible

A great sunrise in the morning and beautiful views of the mountains across Mirabello Bay. The food tasted amazing, handmade and fresh. The chef at this hotel makes a wide range of delicious meals

They are a family of staff and work thier socks off ! I can’t mention them all by name but they made our holiday an absolute pleasure ! I can’t than thank them enough for caring about us which is so lost these days in hospitality, kindness wins !!!!!

The staff were friendly and courteous, especially Albert, who seemed to be doing a range of roles from helping with baggage on arrival to waiting on food ect, a really helpful member of the team

The rooms are lovely and spacious, superior rooms have a much bigger balcony. There is a restaurant in site which is nice and roof top cocktail bar is superb. Spiros the bar tender is such a pro

We brought our own towels but you can can use the hotels ones (paid deposit). There were enough loungers for us getting up at 8am (June time). The hotel is fairly small and very quiet

We stayed here again as last year was amazing. It’s bed and breakfast and the breakfasts are excellent

It has its own small beach with a limited d number of beds, we're early risers so getting a bed wasn't a problem. Some people are still reserving beds but overall, it's not much of an issue

We initially thought our sea-view room was pleasant but on the smaller side. However, after being given access to another room on our last day to freshen up before departure, we realised just how fortunate we had been

While sunbeds are complimentary for guests, it’s nearly impossible to secure one unless you're up at the crack of dawn

Beach is non existent and is a decent trek from the hotel down a big hill went once to check it out and didn’t return

Yes, the pools were freezing but they were nice and always no problem to get a sunbed. We did one TUI trip to Spinalonga, Elounda and Agios Nikalaus which was very enjoyable

5 yr old daughter, we was the one family on the train, definitely don’t book the 4hr one if you have kids it’s not child friendly really and they stop for lunch at a small restaurant up in the mountain with limited menu, great views over the bay for pictures and abit of history

We brought our firestick and internet was good no issues with streaming socket below the tv so no need for an extension lead, in our room anyway. Done the 4hr train ride with our 2

We arrived to one bottle of water in the fridge and didn’t seem to get anymore so we had to buy our own from the on site shop, we got quite a few bits from here so it’s handy

Drinks were not great imo cocktails weren’t the best, the beer was okay though but we aren’t big drinkers anyway. Drinks at the amphitheatre again not great

The staff were super friendly and helpful. The pool was clean and there were plenty of loungers for all. A few minutes walk into Elounda the location was great Rooms had a mini fridge and the beds were comfortable

When we made the hotel aware of my diet we were told that the menu is based on what the chef can get hold of, and despite being on the seafront, we only had fish on one evening (which was completely inedible as it was coated in salt)

Whilst we got fresh towels every couple of days, our sheets were never changed, our bed was either not made at all, or made very roughly & the bathrooms or surfaces were never cleaned

Had our rooms been located somewhere else I think it would have been better so we weren’t disturbed so much. The breakfast was what you expect for a 3 star and the dinner was good

The rooms are very run down, the showers are lukewarm at best (we had 2 warm showers throughout our entire 7 day stay), and the daily 'clean' of the room was laughable

While you were allowed tap water at breakfast, you were not allowed tap water at your evening meal, which, considering they have it available, is a bit out of order

Everything about it oozed elegance and the private terrace and pool were just magical, not to mention the view. The pool remained warm throughout our stay and was so very welcoming after a day out exploring

We really loved that the seats everywhere (lounges and restaurants) were always really comfortable! The food was excellent, breakfast had endless choice and even the evening buffets were plentiful and always fresh and tasty

We thought the beach was just perfect, nice ambiance, great snacks and drinks and travelling as a couple, we appreciated the 'quiet' zone. You don't need to cross the road to access the beach, which is a private beach

I had a look at the spa and it looked wonderful, with a pool, jacuzzi, couples treatments and steam/sauna

The bed was super comfy and there was AC and ceiling fans in every room. I was a little apprehensive before going as I knew the resort was very large and built on either sides of a hill

Elounda is beautiful and we walked to the lovely little village of Plaka and got on a boat over to Spinalonga - a total must see. Only an hour from Heraklion airport, a pleasant drive

Comfortable, well equipped, and perfectly clean. The sea view was fantastic, overlooking the swiming pool and the coast. Our room was in a good state of renovation

There are many sun loungers for different tastes of staying in the sun. In the morning at dawn, everything is treated with disinfectant solutions. The rooms are excellent, nothing special, but cozy

Comfortable, spacious, quiet, pretty garden, nice landscape, everything clean, delicious and varied food, very friendly and helpful staff, good Wifi, wide choice of TV channels

The (artificial) sand beach is quite small, but was enough for the number of guests at the time. Terraces with comfortable sun loungers next to the beach. I had a bungalow with sea view

I appreciate that a good choice of local greek and crete specialities is available in addition to the usual things one gets everywhere. A range of dishes are freshly cooked all the time, some in live cooking

I see this as a consequence of the spacious setting in a pretty landscape. 50 minutes walk to Elounda town center, no bus connection. All staff is very friendly and helpful

Minor comment the room is small and towards the unmodernsied - bathroom is not comfortable to use as the water goes everywhere and closets are dysfunctional

A Perfect Stay I spent 12 days in a Deluxe room at the Royal Marmin Boutique Hotel and everything was simply flawless

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay. The views are breathtaking, the atmosphere is peaceful, and we enjoyed the spa and the private beach. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff were always kind and very helpful

A few small disappointments: the welcome drink was just water, the internal shuttle service was slow, and coffee capsules in the room came with an extra charge — which felt unnecessary for a hotel of this standard

I have absolutely nothing to complain about, this was a perfect stay, and I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking top-level comfort, beauty, and hospitality

During my stay, I also used the spacious and well-equipped gym, which was a great bonus and added to the overall comfort of the experience

Great hotel! Aquapark + great views. But you definitely need to rent a car, it's a long way to the sea. All the pools are with sea water, so many people don't go to the sea

View from the room is so beautiful. Rooms are clean with everythinh what You need. People who work here are helpful and always happy

Very nice resort that really fulfilled our expectations for first family vacation with kids. Rooms are nice and spacey and fully fulfill needs during vacation

Had a lovely holiday here, there was a small error on arrival where they didn't seem to have the correct details of our party arriving and had mixed my husbands name up with a completely different family altogether

We got one of the new rooms and it was really nice, it was close to the restaurant/pool and had a beautiful view of the sea. Getting to the restaurant is just a short walk what makes for a pleasant morning stretch

The beach area, the restaurants, the attention to all details, are all first class! A unique experience, from first to last minute

We stayed at Elounda Peninsula in October as a family of three in room 3159, which had a private pool and split level

The private beaches are probably the best on the island, with soft sand and wave breakers that keep the water calm and peaceful. It made for the most relaxing days by the sea

Lunch service from the beach chairs wasn’t up to the same standard as the rest of the hotel—the menu was limited, food and smoothies were not great, and alcohol options were lacking

The photos were quite limited, so we didn’t know exactly what to expect, but the space and layout were far beyond what we imagined. We arrived late, and the staff were kind, patient, and incredibly accommodating

The children’s pool is gently heated and perfect for little ones, and there was plenty to do around the grounds. We didn’t end up using the creche much because we were happy just spending time together on site

My flight was late, so I really appreciated being able to leave my luggage, go to the beach, and then come back to take a shower and relax by the pool with a drink from the bar

The pool area was spotless and a true oasis. The hotel was exceptionally clean throughout, with great attention to detail in both the rooms and common areas. Highly recommend this place — we can’t wait to come back!

The cocktails at the bar were also fantastic, especially when enjoyed by the beautiful pool, which was always clean and relaxing. Speaking of cleanliness, the entire hotel was spotless, from the rooms to the common areas

Fascinating resort with an amazing view , everything was impeccable, the food and drinks were fresh and tasty. The customer service was very helpful, polite and there at any time for our needs

There is a high CCTV presence in the bar area, but zero trouble. It feels a safe, friendly space, and a great place to be when escaping the busier main square area. Between the bar and the sea, there's a small road

The rooms were very clean, with a pleasant and spacious terrace. You are warmly welcomed by the two brothers, and the father keeps an eye on everything, as well as the staff, who are all very friendly

the beds were very comfortable so we had a great night sleep and the air con was quiet and worked perfectly. The hotel has a child play area and a small section in the pool for children

A lovely hotel on the sea front! Comfiest beds i have slept in whilst in Greece! I will warn you though the coach drops you on the main street next to the supermarket and points down a little alley keep walking til you get to the sea, turn right and walk for a few minutes, a bit of a chore if your suitcase wheels aren't working as they should!! We stayed here in May 2023

The hotel is in a good position on the sea front it is very well maintained and clean. The room was very spacious and clean

We were originally put upstairs in the older building above the kitchen, but mum couldn't manage the stairs, we asked for a different room the next morning and was moved straight away, no messing! It was nearly eleven when we arrived and was hungry, (the hotel stops making food at 5pm) so we ordered a drink and Yani ordered us a takeaway gyros from the local takeaway which was lovely of him
