You might have to come out early and reserve seats

This was my fifth visit to the Blue Palace and my first under the new regime - Phaea. The service was over the top incredible. The concierge is perhaps the best and most responsive team I’ve ever dealt with

We didn't know the previous version of this hotel to compare to but we loved the "new" version, with all the thoughtful gestures towards sustainability and efforts to integrate with Cretan culture & foods, etc - whilst still maintaining the quality and personalised service you expect from a 5-star place

Yes, it's a smaller "boutique" property and OK, it hasn't got 18 restaurants and 6 pools and golf course and helipad and watersports centre with giant slide - blah-blah-blah - but that doesn't mean that the experience is any less luxurious

The property is much smaller since they are renovating the entire other side. Only suggestion is to update the beach chairs and accommodations and the pool needs more sun umbrellas for shade

If anything, the smaller size means you feel like the staff really treat you as individuals (even friends!) rather than just another dollar sign with a room number attached

Would definitely return here if back in Crete! Couple improvements/things to note are that the water in the pools was considerably colder than the sea or the main pools and this was the first time I was charged for water in a 5*

What a beautiful hotel! Adults only, perfect to rest and for fun, activities, pools, great food, especially the buffet. The only thing I thought can be improved is that the sea can be a little bit more clean

The beach is small and there is a lovely harbour surrounded by sun beds, with fantastic views of the cliffs, sea and hotel. The hotel also has a wonderful spa, indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, steam room

Amazing hotel, fantastic staff. If you can, upgrade to a room facing the sea. Some new apartments and recently been made and the finish was top notch. Staff couldn't be more helpful

One word to describe this place - a dream! Peaceful location, beautiful facilities, great food. Quiet bay for sea activities such sap or canoe. Large and beautiful outdoor spaces

Amazing hotel - the bungalow with sharing pool was fantastic, had a great sea view and was very nicely decorated! We had a warm welcome and staff were all great

We had dinner in one of them, 3 courses and a bottle of wine, fine but not exceptional, 182 € thank you very much, with 50€ deductible for the HB package

We misunderstood the explanations about the system (number of courses in or not included) regarding the other restaurants, à la carte

Be careful, if you have a half board package you only have access to the buffet restaurant

Place is nice but too expensive for the the kind of old rooms.

This hotel has stunning views above the golf course, the Mirabella bay and dramatic view of the mountains of Sitia in the back front

and it was a very sad experience compared to Elounda bay) +Sandy shallow beach +Beach inside cove (less wind than other parts of the island/ warmer) +Staff coming to your umbrella to ask you for drinks (and each umbrella is fitted with a button to call for service) +Nice pastries and pancakes for breakfast, as well as an omelette station +Watersports facilities available

Given the quality of services provided, price policy and treatment of guests, the hotel should be rated 3 stars. I have put 4 because it has wonderful beaches with fantastic sea. But this is provided by Mother Nature

It was the first time we stayed in a resort and it was a really pleasant experience. it has set the standard (we spent the second half in another 5*, different brand and hotel in Chania

Great hotel with top quality food. Stunning location. Nice and peaceful with plenty of great local bistros and good walking routes.

The rooms should be renovated, but great location, good breakfast and dinner. Amazing views. Would love to come back !

The best option for accommodation - prestige bungalow with sea view (note: not sea side sea view, which is the partial view) or deluxe bungalow with heated shared pool

Fabulous hotel, service first class, staff very accommodating, all in all hard to fault. Giorgios, Panos, Natalie, stavlous excellent, tbf staff that went above and beyond too many to name. Will return again for sure.

Excellent service, unique location. This is the utmost quiet place for those who need privacy. You get genuine attention from the hotel personnel. The lagune and the sea floor are excellent too

A superb hotel, from the Elounda collection of Maré, Porto and Peninsula. Manolis, the manager and his super friendly team always make us feel great, on arrival and while we stay

This hotel is located on a peninsula with breathtaking views of Mirabello Bay, Elounda Bay and the Aegean Sea

Stayed in the Presidential 1 bedroom villa for 3 nights ! Amazing time. we took a helicopter from Mykonos so we were able to land right at the resorts helipad

The beach area, the restaurants, the attention to all details, are all first class! A unique experience, from first to last minute

The best place to spend quality family time! My 3 children enjoyed the kids club and all the organized activities every day. Great room with amazing views! We stayed in a 2 bedroom family suite with our own private pool

Service and staff members are a joy. Haris greeted us when we arrived with a cold refreshing lemonade and walked us through everything about the resort

Throughout our entire stay he ensured all our needs were met and exceeded. He was very personable and helpful. Wait staff all throughout the resort were great as well. Beach front area is beautiful with wonderful views

Kids camp was a big hit and gave us a much needed break. The huge buffet style breakfast and dinners were really delicious. Pool and beach bars had good lunch options

The hotel is beautifully built and set in a great location overlooking the sea. The staff provide excellent service in a very friendly, courteous and polite manner. No is never an option with them

The perfect place to relax and feel Cretan hospitality. The hotel is amazing, they offer sea view and private pools for all rooms. The crew makes you feel as a guest and not as a customer

One of the best hotels I've ever been to, if not the best, especially if you value the astonishing design of the property as such - coloured marble bars, reception desk, artistic lamps - really beautiful place

Everything is solved with a big smile (even though the masks hide it, you can "see" their eyes smiling). Highly recommended for recharging your batteries. Thank you Cayo team!! We will meet again

The private pool in every room is a unique feature which affords you your own space and privacy. Cayo comes with all the trimmings and they have their own beach which is a few minutes walk away

Super accommodating and very friendly staff. The facilities are really beautiful and the view from the rooms is breathtaking. Food was really nice as well and we ate at the resort daily

Unfortunately, in my opinion, the water is too cold. It was more comfortable to swim in the sea than in the pool. The hotel is slightly off the beaten path, so having a car is recommended

Do I recommend going? Depending on which season, it's worth it if you're ready to spend a lot of money. I wouldn't recommend going during the busy time in the summer season - it's crowded and more expensive

Actually, this is just one of the hotels in the entire complex. Unfortunately, guests from the other hotels can use the pool and have the communal breakfast, which can be a bit confusing and noisy

Overall, the hotel could use some renovation; you can feel the passage of time in the rooms. The service is very good, and the view is superb. The pool is inviting for activities but less so for relaxation

The balcony furniture is terribly uncomfortable :( Important note: they could use someone to inform guests about the location of the pool towels or make it more visible

Communal pool was fantastic and not crowded at all, as was the private beach owned by the resort (4K away but a reliable shuttle service provided by the resort for free) where they had good food options and drinks

Fabulous service. Food absolutely superb! Has a really lovely atmosphere and nothing too much trouble. Suite was very good quality with excellent facilities and highly attenetive room service. Highly recommended!

We stayed in the Samos villa for our honeymoon and the views were breathtaking. We had a private pool and massage room. Maria at the front desk is so sweet and the staff is amazing. We can’t wait to come back one day!

We stayed here for a week and have nothing but nice things to say. The staff is very welcoming and always at your service. The food is absolutely great, Cretan products with a twist

Heading one flight downstairs there was a large double bedroom with sea-views and a large en suite. Heading down one more flight of stair, there were two further twin bedrooms

One with en suite and also a large bathroom next door. These bedrooms were made into double beds for our stay and were very large doubles. All rooms were light and spacious. All in all the villa was very good

Made with lovely cucumber, olives, tomatoes and a chunks of feta cheese to give you a tasty Mediterranean flavored dish. The place is well maintained with clean infinity pool and lovely sea facing rooms

Everything was perfect The price is big, but totally worth it. The renovated rooms are really pricey but totally worth it , if you stay in the renovated rooms you can go to this really nice beach (there are two beaches)

Knowing about Greek culture, the behaviour of the staff, their service with love and the food here are to die for. I still remember the Choriatiki which is a must try with almost every meal

A resort of superb natural beauty and aestetics!!! Once you go there you don't want to leave!!! Luxurious accommodation combined with true greek hospitality !!!

Stayed for about a week here and had a great everlasting experience here. Place is huge! with large tennis court, basketball and volleyball courts

This is a beautiful boutique hotel which ha been recently refurbished to a very high standard. The staff and the food is excellent. The Sushil restaurant serves some great dishes

Great value for money but make sure you book a sea view room. The others are not so great in size and views

The rooms are excellent, but in-room amenities should be more standardized across all room types (the deluxe rooms get more soap/shampoo than superior rooms, plus get daily free water while superior rooms do not)

you don't have to go anywhere else. it's really quiet and relaxing. We went at the end of the season,it was little bit cold for the beach,but we had a room with private pool and the water was warm so that was really nice

My son wanted to play in the water with the others several times and asked, but for some reason he was not invited. But fortunately, he didn't get bitter, so there was no problem and we didn't take the matter to heart

We knew they had salt water in them, so we arrived prepared with goggles so it wasn't confusing. I was rather happy for that, because that way I didn't have to worry about normal water causing problems

We were in room 118 and its location is really steep, but it was only difficult to get up the first two days, after that we walked up or took a taxi without any problems

Unfortunately, one of the slides injured my son's back, but after that he paid attention to only sliding on it while sitting down and it was no longer a problem

We really liked the lady in the shop (unfortunately, I don't know her name), she is always kind and smiling. My kids really enjoyed the slides and pools

Elounda cannot be called cheap, souvenirs and especially clothes are very expensive, but the restaurants are surprisingly cheap and cook excellently

The staff were all wonderful - all reception staff couldn't do enough to help you, Albert was great collecting and taking our luggage, restaurant staff were welcoming and friendly, Vasilikis who ran the pool bar in the day was always smiling and friendly and Simos who ran the bar in the evening knew what we drank and looked after us every evening

Also in the bathroom there is no curtain, after showering the whole floor wet. From hotel to sea beach is a narrow lane where a mess

Absolutely loved everything about this beautiful hotel. Our room had the most amazing view and was clean and a good size

The food was always lovely with lots of choice and kept constantly topped up. Never had any issues finding something to eat at all. We loved it so much here and felt so relaxed and welcomed that we are trying to

The bed was a little hard but as soon as we mentioned this to reception, a mattress topper was added to. the bed which made a huge difference

The pool, though cold, was beautiful to cool off in and was always immaculately clean. There were always plentiful sunbeds - no having to fight to be first down in the morning

Had the loveliest of holidays. Staff are great, helpful and smiling 🌝 Cleanliness is second to none. Breakfast food is as good as similar priced hotels, restaurant food was really good quality.

A quiet, peaceful place . Convenient Parking and a wonderful beach with small pebbles. Good Breakfast , helpful staff.

Ideal location quiet but only a short walk from the town and harbour where most of the wonderful tavernas are. The staff are the jewel in the crown , so friendly and accommodating

Kitchen and restaurant seems a little busy and the food is average. Nothing spectacular to celebrate or criticise. 2 out the 3 nights was 7/10 and one night was a 5/10 for the dinner. The breakfast was a 6/10 all days

My Mother and I had a REALLY REALLY wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were soooo friendly and EXTREMELY kind. It is a family run hotel which has absolutely breathtaking stunning sea views

Also very close to the excellent bus service to be able to jump on and off buses to explore this BEAUTIFUL island!!! I cannot wait to go back!!!!!! Thank you for a fantastic stay, see you VERY soon!!!!

The location couldn’t be anymore central to Elounda for delicious restaurants, shops, bars, cafes etc

Centrally located in Elounda on the waters edge. Peaceful and my balcony overlooked Spinalonga. Clean and staff very friendly and welcoming

Very basic hotel . Breakfast limited. The location is great.. it's value for money and clean

It's a 25minute walk to elounda, 2 minutes on a scooter or taxi (Which was 6€/ride) so you're out of the touristic area and can enjoy your peace on your balcony

Hotel has two decent pools Rooms a little outdated. No bug mesh on any of the windows so had a a couple of bugs in the room. Needs some small improvements but good for a couple of nights

Good hotel with nice views of the ocean. Hotel is in a quiet location between Elounda and Plaka. Good shower with lots of pressure. Breakfast was nice with lots of options
