Makris Beach Hotel in Kamari

My husband and I spent two nights at Makriz Hotel and had a wonderful experience. The location was excellent, the service was great, and the atmosphere was very quiet and relaxing.

A special thanks to Maria at the reception , she was so welcoming and friendly. Unfortunately, I had to leave before her duty started again, but I truly appreciated her kindness and professionalism.

We highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

Great location. Rooms a nice. Breakfast is very good. Onsite rental car Agency and tours. The staff all are helpful and friendly. The front bar (Prince) and lounge area and service on the beach is great.

We stayed at Makris for our honeymoon, ten days in paradise. It's literally under fifty metres from the beach, where Makris is partnered with Prince restaurant. You'll have your breakfast with them & Prince then has sun beds on the beach with your very own doorbell so they're are at your service! Special mention to Maria at Makris Hotel on reception, a very very lovely lady, she made us feel at home and was a great laugh! Thank you for making our honeymoon extra special!

Where the path from Makris leads to the seafront, you are right in the middle of the main strip where all the restaurants/bars are all situated, perfect location in Kamari!

We spent part of our summer holiday at Makris Beach Hotel, as a family of four, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience.

The Hotel
The hotel has been fully renovated and beautifully blends modern comfort with traditional Cycladic architecture – whitewashed walls, rounded corners, and charming minimalism. Everything is spotless and exceptionally well-maintained. The rooms are elegant and comfortable, though not equipped for self-catering – so cooking in the room isn’t an option. However, we had two efficient air conditioning units and a small terrace where we could relax and enjoy the warm evenings.

Service
The service was excellent throughout our stay. The reception staff were warm and helpful. We rented a car through the hotel at a great rate – just €50 for 24 hours, which was around €20 cheaper than other options we found. Housekeeping was done daily, with fresh towels every day and even the dishes were taken care of – truly impressive service.

Breakfast & Restaurant
Breakfast is served at Prince Restaurant, which is directly connected to the hotel. It’s definitely worth including in your stay. While not a large buffet, the breakfast is varied, fresh, and very satisfying. The same restaurant also offers delicious lunch and dinner, with hotel guests receiving a 10% discount on evening meals.
The only downside is that smoking is allowed at the restaurant, including during breakfast hours, even though the hotel itself is smoke-free.

The Beach
The beach is just steps away – approximately 15 meters from the hotel. Sunbeds are available through the adjacent beach restaurant and cost between €20–30 per day. However, this amount is returned as credit to be used for food or drinks at the restaurant. It’s a great setup for enjoying a full beach day in comfort.

It is close to the beach truly, the breakfast is offered in partnership with a neighbouring/adjoining restaurant names "Prince", the rooms are clean with good facilities.

It's surprising that they don't offer complimentary bottles of water, at least for the first day of arrival to help you settle in, rather while you are still trying to catch your breath after a long journey, the reception would be more interested in booking tours from you and collect state taxes. That's so not welcoming. They will tell you to go get water from the supermarket nearby. Everything including transport is truly nearby as advertised. There's no beach volleyball. I recommend this place.

Great location, service, breakfast and customer service. Arranged for a taxi pick up and drop at airport with competitive rates. Extended the check out time for an hour as we had flight delay. Beach is few seconds walk from the property and the Prince restaurant around has some great options + you get 10% discount if staying in Makris. Overall a fun filled stay with family.

Located in an incredible place, it hurts that the beach has no benefits for guests, since if you want to use a deck chair, you have to pay. The excellent breakfast. Beautiful space to have breakfast looking at the sea. The hotel is in a pedestrian block, you can NOT pass by car. If you do, they call your attention in a bad way

What a beautiful place to sleep at! I’ll book it again if I come back to Santorini.

Excellent location. Cleaning 10 points. The room looked like an apartment, very large and with a filter coffee maker that allowed us to have coffee 24 hours a day. Breakfast was brought to our room each morning and varied from day to day. The personal assistance is very good. I would stay there again
