Arion Bay

My mum and I just came back from one of the loveliest holiday´s we ´ve ever been on. And that is also thanks to the Hotel and its staff. We have been told that Arion bay was the luxurious 3 star hotel in Kamari and It turned out to be quite true. It´s right on a beach, very nicely situated. With large pool, sunbeds, pool bar of course and wifi all over the area. The rooms aren´t perfect but they are more than satisfying for the time of your stay. The housekeeping was also decent, new towels every day, cleaning, moping the floor, anything you need and you dont have to ask for it. The owner - Elijah - is very nice, friendly and helpful, he speaks fluent English and German. What we really loved was breakfast. Anything you can think of. Bacon, eggs, sausages, cereals, fruit and vegetable salads, sweets etc. The hotel is for everyone. We were just two but there were also families with little kids (cca from 6 months and older) and it is very comfortable for older people as well. (wheelchair is not a problem, there is low-floor access). I can´t but recommend.

Generally speking an ok hotel. But room sucks. Plusses: Location Elias is very helpfull and friendly Minuses: Maria from stuff is too loud without earprotectors! Mattress was too hard. Pillow too hard and high Shower in room is old and messy with water all over the bathroom The balcony doors didn't work Sometimes cleaners forget to give us new towels Once we had to drink instant coffee. They didn't had any real coffee at 9:30 in the morning The room is too small for two single beds.

We have had very nice holidays in Arion Bay. The Romanian Tourism agency which booked the rooms made an error and I have had to sleep, for a night, in another hotel. Ellias, a really kind person, tried to make up my discontentment offering me what I think is one of the best rooms in hotel, in the old building. All white, recently renewed, with funny furniture built in concrete (I think) and painted in white, large, with sea view, a nice balcony with bougainvillea flowers, it was absolutely adorable. The bathroom was correct, plenty of hot water, very comfortable. The location is good, in a quiet enough area, the breakfast was very good, and everything went more than OK.

We to Santorini for my friends wedding & we had a great time! Arion Bay is in a great location and you have got restaurants, bars, shops and the beach on your doorstep! ilias & tony are great hosts! The rooms are basic but comfortable the only thing i didnt like was the showe! its just a shower cubicule and you have to hold the shower yourself but i got used to it after a while & the majority of hotels are the same even 4* hotels! The pool area is lovely and really clean! The breakfast is also very good! We loved kamari and we always met in the bar Dolce before going for a meal we always had a laugh with the bar staff in there! We definately prefared Kamari to Perissa because Perissa is al so spread out nd the front is not as nice as Kamari! During the days we all met a pool bar called Silia its a great place to meet if theres a few of you all in different hotels & you all want to be together uring the days, the snacks are great there especially the ham & cheese wraps & club sandwiches! My friend got married at Santo Winery & it was a perfect day! Everyone had a great holiday in Santorini!

Well this was my 3rd trip to Santorini and I can say that this place adds that "Something Special" feeling to your vacation. As I stated here and on Virtual Tourist that this hotel answered my question about the song from the Eagles, The Hotel California, where they state "You Can Check Out Any Time You Like But You Can Never Leave". It's like when you leave part of you stays. The staff, Elias is the best bartender on the island, really makes this place much more then a place to eat and sleep. BTW, there buffet is really great as are the rooms and the location. As one person commented of hanging at Elias's bar, "He Could Make A Party Out Of A Empty Room". Not to say it's a wild place, old and young blend in nicely, it's just a pleasent group that enjoys meeting and having a good time. Though it's Arions first year, as it use to be part of the boat House Hotel, it is well know to manny as they have been coming back yr after yr.. I would just suggest to book early if you can cause with the great value and great times here it was fully booked this Sept. and will be next yr. also.

Only just come back from Santorini after staying for a week with my family. The hotel itself was lovely, Elias and his staff made sure we were well looked after and were enjoying ourselves. Also, in the evening, Elias likes to entertain his guests with his cheerful banter. The island is absolutely stunning, we hired quad bikes to get around (which I would recommend) as you do not want to miss out on seeing everything around the island. We avoided the restaurants along the beach and tried out the traditional Greek restaurants which were recommended to us (Elias will recommend if you ask). The food at these restaurants were amazing. Going into Oia is a must, it's so beautiful. Check out everything around the island while you can. I would definitely return again, and recommend this place to others.

Extremely clean rooms, fabulous location right on the beach, only 15 minutes from the airport. Very polite & friendly staff, great breakfast included in the price as well as free safe, sun beds, beach towels & WiFi. Throughly recommend

My experience at Arion Bay in Kamari was absolutely beautiful. This is the perfect place for who just wants to relax and literally feel home. The staff is so welcoming and friendly, Eleni, Elias and Nico made our stay so enjoyable that they made us feel like being in holiday with a bunch of good friends. You see many pool bars in Kamari but Arion Bay one is just like the one you’d love to be sitting at, at the end of the day and just have a drink and laugh. Rooms are beautiful, all the area is super clean, the breakfast has everything from sweet to sour. The position is wonderful, just one step away from the beach and the sea is priceless. It is a very comfortable place, with car and bike rentals super close if you want to have a ride and go everywhere else. I can surely say that apart from the wonderful place, the people that we met will surely be the reason why we will come back soon to enjoy another beautiful holiday.

Pros: - great location: right on the Kamari promenade, everything you'd want is easily and quickly accessible, from stores, through restaurants to bars. - pool & beach access: the beach beds are available for free and only for the guests of the hotel - this is something they also enforce so you needn't worry about sunbed shortage. If the waves are too strong or you'd just prefer something else, they also have a spacious pool (something most but not all hotels have on the promande). - poolside bar: great prices and good selection as well. The cocktails were awesome. - breakfast: nothing special, but good overall, no complaints. Enough variety and they sometimes rotated some of the stuff like cakes or omelette/quiche. - staff: you probably have or will read about the staff elsewhere, but it's worth confirming that indeed they are very friendly :) - clean: this is basic but it never hurts to mention it. Cons: - close to the airport: the hotel is near the airport-side end of the promenade so planes are flying *very* low already, almost directly above the beach/hotel. There are a few busier hours so if you want to go to sleep early (around 9-10pm) or prefer a quiet beach, this might bother you. - noisy: the walls are thin and the doors offer little to zero soundproofing. The doors can also only be closed very loudly, you can hear the neighbors fiddling with the keys (seriously, how can keys be so loud?) and if you are unlucky with neighbors who are not at all concerned about the sleeping schedule of others, you better like earplugs. We were up until 1-1:30am waiting for them to finally turn down their volume (music and otherwise). - somehow tiny: the room looks spacious but everything felt tiny. I'm not a giant by any means, barely above average and the bed was already too short for me. The bathroom also felt cramped. Overall good value and while there were hiccups here and there, we're very satisfied with our stay. Keep it up Arion Bay (and please invest in better doors)!

Fantastic stay at this hotel from 17th May for a week. Meet and greet was amazing, late arrival and we were well looked after. Thank you Eleni (G&T is an 8/10 xx) loved meeting you and your dad Elias the legend he is. This hotel is perfect and amazing value xxx
