Sunny View Hotel

I have recently came home from a trip with my friend. We both have had a difficult time prior to the trip due to grievance and went on the expectation to relax and unwind. We went for this hotel based on the current reviews given here and found that it was great in terms of location, cleanliness of the hotel and rooms, as they were spotlessly clean, however we received awful service and was treated horribly by staff and cleaners. There were days we walk pass and they were talking about us and even times we went up to the bar they serve everyone around us before even smiling or interacting with us. Me and my friend are in our early 20s and we feel from the moment we arrived late on a Wednesday night that they had little respect for young people and had assumed that young people would cause trouble and therefore had us outside by the main road away from everyone. They cornered me one day after me and my friend passing them together all that day and had 4 of them give out over makeup on towels. After they stating this I immediately tried to be understanding and considerate of the remainder customers around me and said I would straight up pay for the inconvenience made just to leave them drop the conversation, but they shouted at me and pulled the bag out infront of everyone and stated I needed to go to a cleaners myself. They then expected us to pay €40 after not giving us towels for the last 4 days of our 7 day holiday. We still ended up paying the €20 which I feel we shouldn’t have to pay at all. Everyone by the pool spoke highly of me and my friend as we are very polite and welcoming to everyone, we even helped out with some minor injury incidents by the pool, so it was very unexpected and confusing as to why the discrimination we got from the staff. Due to this we felt very uncomfortable the last few days of our holiday as the staff made it out that we did something wrong and refused to serve us on one occasion at the bar. I wanted to leave our trip early but my friend said we should have to as we payed to go on this trip and to try ignore them but they continued to be quiet unpleasant around us. After the difficult few weeks we put down at home we are disgusted with how we were treated for the short time we were there and would hope this message will prevent it from happening to others.
