It’s the location that makes this a good hotel. The hotel itself is very basic and rather worn. Breakfast is very simple – not even proper bread. The reception staff come across as stiff and artificial, almost as if they were bothered by questions or requests about the rooms.

We happened to be there on 15 August, when Greece celebrates its second largest feast, Panagia, often referred to as the Easter of the summer. People gather at churches dedicated to the Virgin Mary. We wanted to attend the ceremony, but when we asked one of the reception staff, he seemed not to know what we were talking about. We received much better help at a pharmacy, where the staff guided us to several nearby options. Everything turned out fine in the end, but surely being able to provide relevant tips about local events is one of the main duties of a hotel reception. Poor.

The bar food was nice. The staff was pleasent . The hotel rooms a little outdated. I didn't find much of an option interms of breakfast. The location was great plenty to do.

Had a great stay with my wife. Really friendly staff and the location was phenomenal! Would go here again if I'd ever visit Kos city again!

Under no circumstances is it a three-star hotel. The building needs renovation in everything. It's the first time I stayed in a hotel room and I felt disgusted to walk without slippers.

Hotel due for refurb but didnt matter to our stay. William helped us out with bigger room on arrival. Again william and all staff superb. Very relaxed laid back atmosphere pool adequate steps and hand rail for me! Could always get sun bed. Very clean lovely crisp white sheets etc Breakfast ok. Hotel astron management make sure you keep william and all of your lovely staff after any further refurb. They make this hotel get the good reviews

A little gem. Much prefer the smaller hotels more traditional hotels. The welcome,service and facilities were brilliant. Adam and Willian on reception couldn’t do enough for you. Jenny at pool bar and Ali in the hotel bar were delightful. The rooms were kept so clean and the housekeeping was excellent. Good breakfast and, once again, excellent service. Felt so comfortable there, travelling by myself. You could not ask for a better location. If you looking for a large, modern impersonal hotel then this is not you. It exceeded the 3 star rating in my eyes. Thank you to all the staff at Astron hotel for making my holiday special.

Spent 10 nights at the Astron in June 2025. Received a very good welcome by William on arrival who provided us with the hotels amenities and also places to visit in Kos town and the island. The room we were allocated was excellent with views of the harbour, was spacious and very clean. The only negative was there was a plastic toilet seat which moved when you sat down. There was a pool at the back of the hotel which had sufficient sun-beds and there was also a pool bar which sold snacks and drinks from 10am to 7pm. There was a good choice for breakfast which included hot and cold options. All the staff at the hotel were all very helpful and usually had a smile and always acknowledged you. Kos town was full of excellent restaurants and bars and we ate out every day and did not have a bad meal during our stay there. If you enjoy shopping you will not be disappointed as there is a huge variety of shops in Kos. Overall an excellent holiday and would recommend a visit to this hotel.

Lovely staff and communal areas. Fabulous pool with water jets. The bedrooms and corridors need serious upgrades though. Very basic and poor, old decoration. Spotlessly clean.

Hotel in excellent location with fabulous views of the harbour! Excellent customer service and the cleanliness is of a high standard. Staff work very hard! Breakfast is good! My only critique is rooms need refurbishment! Dated and tired looking!

Just come back from 10 days in Kos. This hotel is in a great location with stunning views at breackfast and evening drinks. Hotel is very clean and well looked after. Family run and the team of staff from the reception to cleaners were fab, could not do enough to help and were always smiling. They all work so hard love the bar staff. Room was cleaned everyday and was a good size with a pool view. We used it as a base so was good, the only thing was not enough plugs. But 2 people managed to make it work. Breackfast - always found something to eat loads of variety. Pool area really nice and relaxing actually had no sunbed wars. Only thing I found it needed was music. All in all a great hotel and Me and Mum will be returning very sad to be home really missing it.
