Svea Hotel

The hotel has an excellent location right next to the beach. The hotel staff is extremely nice and welcoming.

It's just a hotel. You will probably spend most of the time outside so don't complain too much.
Small rooms, but you really don't need more space. It's nicely decorated, small bathroom.
Great location.

What a joy it's been staying at Svea Hotel! First of all I would like to give a shout out to the staff at the hotel - all of them (bar/restaurant-, cleaning- & hotel-staff). What a wonderful bunch of people. Always helpful, greeting you with a smile and giving out positive vibes 24/7.

The room I stayed in was spacious enough for two people. Alternative lighting to cater you're needs - though I would have enjoyed a make-up light by one of the three mirrors in the room/bathroom (hard to find at most hotels). The bed was fairly firm and I did sleep well even though my room had a balcony facing a street filled with restaurants, bars and small shops - the sound from the street never got to the point where it was disturbing. A bunch of outlets next to the bed too if you want to charge a couple of gadgets and have them close by when you wake up. The bathroom is somewhat tiny and spartan but worked as it should. I did enjoy that the room had a/c (started by connecting the room key to an activating plate which I first didn't understand), a small refrigerator and a wardrobe to hang my clothes in. Cleaning of the room was done every day with the change of towels every other day.

I had chosen to have my breakfast included and every morning was a surprise. It always came with a plate of a small toasts, butter and jelly, a glass of juice, a bowl of fresh fruit (sometimes with yoghurt) and the choice of coffee or tea. Then they varied a second plate from day to day. Alwayas a surprise with something to make the breakfast complete.

The restaurant at the ground floor (Gorillas Place) is open 24/7 so if you wake up with a craving, food or a snack is never far away.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who's not looking for "luxury", enjoy swimming in the sea instead of a pool and just want a comfortable stay with an awesome vibe to the place. I would love to come back and stay at Svea Hotel again.

Didn’t stay at the hotel but bought food from them as was only passing through.

They do a a good cheap chicken gyro €3.50 each. And had a chat about the area with the fella who worked there.

Very spacious room and bathroom, cleaned every day with fresh towels daily, comfortable beds, big balcony, very central location but no noise, incredibly helpful staff who were always welcoming and kind but never pushy, late checkout was no problem. Highly recommended!
