The staff was polite, no issues with it. Good breakfast. You can leave your bags at the reception after check out which is nice.

But..
First impression is the most important and it was bad. The room wasn't clean properly: someone's lipstick on cups, spoon with traces of, I guess, dried coffee on it, hair on the sheets, ants everywhere..

I was being nice and told about ants only, but left sheets up so it's visible for the person who will clean it but it was ignored. Then I had to invite receptionist to the room and point out to everything.. Since then was no issues with cleaning.

No tea or even water in the room. Tv is old, no smart tv. Kettle was old as well and dirty enough to not even bother using it.

Tour operator later asked if someone congratulated me on my birthday - I had no idea that someone asked to do it but anyway no one did it. I don't think hotels should do it so it doesn't affect rating. Just in case if anyone plans to ask about it - probably it will be forgotten.

I don't think it's 4 stars even comparing to other hotels in Greece, maybe it was 10 years ago but not today.

We had a lovely stay at Rhodos Horizon Blu. The location is perfect – just a few minutes’ walk from the beach and also close to the city center. The hotel has a relaxed and modern vibe, and everything felt clean and well-maintained.

Our room was cozy with a balcony and sea view, and it was cleaned every day. The staff was always kind and helpful, especially at the reception and pool bar – always smiling and ready to help with anything.

The food was tasty and varied, with many options for both breakfast and dinner. We especially enjoyed the fresh fruits, Greek dishes and of course the desserts.

We also loved the pool area – lots of sunbeds, a peaceful atmosphere, and a great place to enjoy a frappe and just relax. :)

Thank you for a great holiday – we would definitely come back again or try another Horizon hotel in the future!

Very nice welcome when we arrived. Nice glass of bubbly. First impression the hotel is well worth its 4 stars. Clean throughout. Bed now breakfast for us. However the choice of food was impressive. Freshly cooked and lots to choose from. Chocolate fountain to sliced salmon. Bar is fairly priced and lots of areas to chill. Pool is a decent size, however they're not keen on you resrving your beds. The beds are watched once its open and after a short period. Your towels and belongings will be removed and put near the bar. (Personally anyone could take them). But overall its a well ran, well cleaned and a decent hotel.

We arrived early hours due to fight delays, We were greeted by a glass of sparkling wine as we went to check in. Nice touch Very quick and efficient check in by friendly staff. I think we need to appreciate that English is not their first language but they do make a lot of effort to speak and understand us Brits. City tx is to be paid on check in. 70 euros for 2 of us (one room) for the week, about standard for Europe. Very clean public areas. Rooms are spacious enough ,in the bathroom the toilet is quite close to the shower, shower is lovely. The room has a wardrobe, chair, TV and bedside tables. There is a small fridge in the room, enough to put few bottle of water in, I managed to fit a bottle of wine, 1.5lt size bottle of pop and carton of milk in there so it's perfectly adequate. There are a few plug sockets but I would recommend bringing an extension lead then you only need one adapter. We stayed half board so there is a kettle and cups but you don't get tea or coffee unless all inc. so top tip bring your own tea and coffee with you and pick some milk up from any of the many supermarkets near by or on site. There is a hairdryer, however it's not great, but not an issue as it's BOILING out side and didn't bother me much. If you are fussy with your hair bring your own. The room also has a Pateo around, 12 x 4 ft with table and chairs and pull out drying rack. The air con in room is great but does start the big fan on the balcony which blows out the warm air so just be warned. The room was serviced every day, ( If you are that worried about your precious clothes ...put them in the god damm wardrobe) towels changed every 2or 3 days , but to be honest how often do you change your towels at home ? Also how dirty are you that you need them changed EVERY DAY. just hang them on the drying rack on the balcony. Having worked in hotels myself I appreciate the fact that there is usually a small team of housekeepers and they have a few hundred rooms to get through ..so yes they do start their rounds about 8am , we were never disturbed by them as we went down for breakfast between 7:30 and 8:30 most days. Please be kind, these ladies have a job to do!! There is a safe in the wardrobe which I believe was 20 euros which is about standard where ever we have been in Europe. The breakfast was amazing, so much selection Inc freshly made pancakes and waffles, fruit, cereal, your standard sausage, bacon,eggs etc. there's a coffee machine, juice machine...all self service buffet style. You can just sit anywhere at breakfast but for the evening they tend to seat you as they take drinks orders at you table and you can pay cash or card. I'm sure if you ask for a physical drink menu you will get one but if you are tec savvy you can scan the QR codes at your table to get it. The evening buffet was really good too, lots of fish and sea food for starters and mains. Also soup available. But there was also "British" food for those less adventures like pizza, chips, ch

Very helpful receptionist and very bad reservation manager, we found in our hotel room, maybe cockroach or beetle. This Insect did bit my partner. The only thing they offer is a gift for a value of €15-€50 (voucher for sun, bed or a dinner for two person) without taking any responsibility saying we don’t know where this insect came from. The only thing the reservation manager did is not to take responsibility and saying that we will not give you any compensation, but you can have what she offered as a gift and a good well , they did change the room for us, but they say that originally it was this room what we booked, which is double room standard and from what I say, I don’t believe that because this room have a Park view and our previous room was the double standard but somehow it was a bigger room and a bigger restroom.

The breakfasts were tasteless, and the quality of the food was very poor. When we first checked into our room, there was an unpleasant musty odor — but that wasn’t even the worst part. What happened next was truly disturbing. We found cockroaches in our room. The hotel staff insisted they were just “large beetles,” but one of them ended up on my neck and bit me. It was a very distressing experience. We were then moved to a different room, which turned out to be smaller. I couldn’t sleep the whole night and started experiencing anxiety — not because I’m afraid of insects, but because the whole situation was extremely uncomfortable and stressful. That’s when I started to notice a pattern. The first room we were given didn’t have slippers, robes, or even basic amenities like sanitary bags. The second room did. It also had coffee and tea available — again, something that was missing in the first room. The hotel refused to take responsibility, refused to upgrade our room, and did not offer any discount or compensation for this unacceptable experience.

Spend your money elsewhere!!!! Arrived at 2am was advised of our room no 513 went upstairs and opened the door to find the room had not been cleaned from the previous guests. Went to reception who advised it had been cleaned i was then asked to accompany another member of staff to show him the room like I was lying . Went bed & breakfast the breakfast was horrid along with the coffee. Main bar doesn't open until 5pm, only 1 small pool and not enough sunbeds to accommodate guests. The maids start their rounds arcapprox 7.30,am daily where they proceed to drag furniture about regardless of guests sleeping or trying to. Also leave nice clothes at home they clean with bleach which they got on my husbands clothes but failed to mention it. All in all absolutely appalling hotel.

The hotel is modern, with a great location and a good breakfast. The staff is friendly and helpful.
However, a 140 cm wide bed for two people is, in my opinion, too small. We asked for a larger bed but unfortunately didn’t receive any positive response.
We also noticed some ants in the room, though this might be because we brought them in from the pool area.

Staff are nice but facilities way very poor. They don’t have iron, when requested iron stupid excuse I’ve heard ‘they don’t provide for customer safety’. When requested for 2 single bed ‘fully booked’. Big 4 star hotel but you have to struggle with tiny lifts. Disappointed and won’t recommend anyone.

Just spent 2 weeks in this lovely, clean, fresh hotel, everything went so smooth, can warmly recommend it ! Location really good, away from the hustle but still a short walk to the city. Breakfast buffet was enormous with so many delicious options, and we also had lunch at the hotel a couple of times, all very fresh and tasty. The staff members were so nice, they made you feel welcome everywhere, friendly and warm atmosphere. Special thanks to Nikonas and the other gentleman at the pool bar, excellent service, highly appreciated, thank you ! 👍
