Corona D'Italia

This hotel had a smell of mold as soon as the doors open in the lobby. Several rooms from ppl in my family and tour group, mine included were extremely moist. It felt like the an indoor pool! The sheets on the beds were moist, floors and towels. Even though the AC was at its lowest temp, blasting cold air, the room felt very damp!
My stay was very unpleasant.
When visiting other countries, sightseeing and such, one looks forward to going back to to lovely clean, fresh hotel to nap and go sightseeing again.

I, however did not want to rest in this awful hotel! I looked forward to checking out and staying somewhere that was clean and MOLD free! Steer Clear is this GROSS hotel!

Awful experience, rooms are hot (it was nice outside in aug) AC is a joke, bearly cleaned, room is just surfice cleaned (sink is black under rim, door handle is screwed in, eyelash from previous guest on toilet seat, dirty tissues stuffed in wall box, poo in toilet.. ect), hotel is HUMID and damp close to unbearable.
I do NOT recommend this hotel.
I came to Italy with a tour group and I am mortified this is the place they put us in. Other rooms, tubs and showers will not drain, shower doors will not open, ac's are broken, mini-frige broken, just horrendous.

The room was ok. Clean enough. Location is close to many things but so are a lot of hotels. The problem was the service. I had an item stolen from my room and they treated me as if I was lying with no attempt to resolve the issue. Finally on the day of check out, they double charged a student on this trip for drinks and when we tried to resolve that, the manager told the man working that it was essentially too bad. They were not willing to investigate it even though there were receipts. It was not worth the hassle and the absolute rudest hotel staff I have ever met… my sixth time to Florence.

I wish I could give a better review. Room was excellent, the bathrooms were small; shower was excellent, but clogged in the second night. The front reception was great during the day, but was understaffed in the evening.

My MAIN gripe was the lack of steady Wi-Fi in the hotel. We had ZERO reception in our rooms, and the lobby connection was slow and consistently disconnected. The front desk kept saying, "Just connect to Corona or Corona Booster", but this literally didn't help. I'm guessing the hotel staff are connected to a separate wifi, because the main Wi-Fi networks were unusable.

In an age where Wi-Fi is necessary to check emails, book trains, check restaurants, coordinate with tour guides, and use for leisure, the lack of Wi-Fi made this a miserable stay. If they fix their internet situation, I would give it 3-4 stars. Until then, I wouldn't recommend this place.
