Hotel Casa Mia

Wouldn’t stay at the hotel for free.
The room on the main floor that we got has two glass doors facing out into the restaurant terrace. Which means you’re sleeping two meters from the dining guests. You can literally hear what they’re talking about when they’re having conversation at the table. And if you open the curtains they would be able to look into the hotel room.
I know it’s a cheap hotel, and you get what you pay for. But my god I’m happy we only booked one night here. If you book this place, make sure you don’t get room number 1!!
Totally unacceptable, great location in Trastevere though.

And by the way, there was no toilet paper in the room 🧻

Update: just had to tell the receptionist (who’s also right next to the room) to turn of his speaker because he was watching music videos at midnight 😭

Carbonara was very bad and They don’t use the local product, it was a very basic bacon. Amatriciana was better but still basic bacon.
Its cheaper than other places but know the food is not gonna be that good

Restaurant review only:
Poor communication by the server.
Pasta dishes are basic.
Front looks great, rear yard lacks ambience but it is very tranquil if thats what you are looking for.
Wouldn’t come back

Hotel Review: 1. Despite paying a high price, no warm water was available in the bathroom and that too in winters. On complaining, hotel staff did not respond.
2. The most challenging part was the hotel receptionist and hotel manager did not speak English and so could not be of any help.
3. On arrival, Internet was not coming in the room. So, wasted few hours in getting the issue resolved.
4. Towels were not replaced. Dirty towels on the floor were kept back after drying in the crumpled condition by the hotel staff.
5. Breakfast starts late at 8 AM. Warm food was over at 8:30 AM. At first hotel staff said they cannot provide more. Then replenished them on the request of a native. Anyways, had to wait 15 minutes for some of the warm items to be replenished.
6.There is no luggage storage room, your luggage will be kept next to reception, which makes it highly risky as receptionist hardy sits at the reception as she also handles kitchen. Reception is a tiny room next to entrance door which is unlocked most of the times.

The pasta was raw. Not al dante... RAW. Believe me I know the difference. Pizzas - 4 cheese and Napoli - were a total disappointment. Nice staff. But that's all. It was a regret.
