Rome, Via Palestro 51 🧭 Map
Was in a private room, the room itself was nice and clean. Bed was acceptable. They don't provide privacy things for your door so the cleaning people will be in your room during the day (the privacy toggle on the door doesn't seem to do anything). The bathroom was tiny, sink was cracked and had a slow leak. Using the toilet basically means your knees are touching the wall in front of you. Shower was...
Great hostel and I had a great stay here! The beds are comfortable, very clean, and the dorms have their own private bathrooms. There’s also a bar across the street where you get a discount if you’re staying at the hostel. They offer different activities every day such as pasta making, a picnic, tours of the city, and more. Laundry is available for a fee. Staff were all super kind and helpful, will...
Incredible place. From the moment you enter the reception staff welcomes you, guides you and takes you to your room clarifying doubts and providing information to make your stay more pleasant. Thanks Sammy and Jean Franco, the front desk guys.
The facilities are very clean and welcoming.
It has a bar and disco. The atmosphere is very entertaining and the bar staff very funny. A very pleasant experience...
If you’re looking for a great place to stay. Great atmosphere amazing bartenders and staff then this is the place to be. Met so many amazing people that my solo trip seem to have turned into a group trip with different people every day. Dorms were clean, AC was pumping and they even have lockers for 1 Euro every 24 hours. Stay here you won’t regret it. Tell them Johnny Sins sent you
Nothing bad to say!
The hostel is extremely clean, everyone who entered my dorm room had the same reaction. The staff are super friendly and sweet
If you’re a solo traveller there are a bunch of daily activities you can join with the hostel
Also definitely worth spending a night at the bar downstairs :)
Prime location, it's just 10 minutes walk from Termini station, it's safe to walk around at night, there's a laundry shop next door. It's only 30 minutes walk to Trevi Fountain if the weather is good.
The hostel is super clean, however the rooms are quite small, i stayed in a 4 bed female dorm and the room got over crowded when only 2 of us were there.
The hostel has an affiliated bar that is so good...

Generator Rome
Rome, Via Principe Amedeo 257 🧭 Map
Awesome accommodation. Clean and well managed. Affordable price plus great service. Will definitely go back here.
Photos on the website are much nicer than the actual stay. Basic rooms in a somewhat average neighbourhood. Perfectly fine for the price but nothing special.
More of hotel than a hostel. So if you are BackPacker who is looking out to gel out with like minded people, its not a place for you. Cleanliness wise its really good. Has a small pub indoor in which the first drink is free. Location wise not so good. Overall average.
Fantastic hostel! Were given a free upgrade from a 4 man to a 2 man room on arrival which was the best thing after a being on a bus tour for 16 days. Staff were all very helpful and happy and often went above and beyond. Really clean and the whole place is decorated well. Very close to the metro station (2 min walk) and about 10 min walk to the train station/bus to the airport. No guest kitchen available...
Odalar, carsaf, nevresim temiz, yatak basuclarinda priz usb giriş mevcut, ısıtma iyi. Rooms, sheets are clean and new, every bed has their plug and usb socket. heating system is in good condition.
Generator Rome was nicely decorated, clean, staff was friendly. Spacious rooms, pillow and mattres not great but ok, huge lockers. Location is very good near the subway station and bus station. You get charged to leave your luggage.

Funny Palace Hostel
Rome, Via Varese 33 🧭 Map
Good price, good roommates, relatively clean room. Mabri was a friendly and welcoming host. Unfortunately there was no common area, so it's not the best hostel for meeting people, but other than that it was a good experience. Note: I am not sure how often they change the blankets. And you may have to bring your own towel.
Funny Palace Hostel is a great place to stay in Rome. The hostel is conveniently located close to the central train station and within walking distance of several attractions. From the outset, Mabri and the staff were fantastic. The map and advice was a great help. The rooms were extremely clean and the beds were comfortable. The showers and bathroom were kept spotless. I would completely recommend...
It was a lovely place to stay, with an extremely helpful host. The room was clean, and so was the bathroom. Check-in was flexible, and the location is unbeatable. It's very central, but not inside the utterly tourist-ridden parts of the city.
You get free wine and breakfast. The owner is very nice, the rooms are clean and I got a free upgrade! Sadly no common area or kitchen.
I felt incredibly safe staying here, it had great proximity to the city and public transportation, and the guy who checked us in gave us a free bottle of wine and planned out a trip itinerary for us! The shower had hot water, everything was clean, and the beds were comfortable. I would definitely stay here again :-)
They have laundry service (6 euros wash and dry). The laundry service was nice since you can drop it off and they'll put it in the dryer for you too. They even folded a few shirts for me! The rooms are basically old hotel rooms with a few single beds thrown in. There's no common room to socialize.

Hostel Beautiful
Rome, Via Milazzo 14 🧭 Map
Expected it to be pretty janky, but turned out to be nice! Stayed in a six bed room and found the bunks convenient and relatively comfortable. Bathroom was right off the room and had a great shower.
Best hostel I've stayed at. The shower is a real shower, dosnt turn off every couple second like most hostel showers. Amazing beds with clean sheets. Breakfast is small, just one croissant.
The rooms are great. The stairway is very shabby and could do with a lot of work. Staff are very friendly but would be great if they would tell you a bit more information without asking.
Such a clean and friendly place to stay. The staff are great. The whole hostel looks brand new, not sure if they renovated or not, but it looks great and is very clean. They beds are decent and your locker has ample room for your valuables. You can even switch off the lights from your bed! Honestly, I love this place, and it's a decent price too.
The location is very good, a stone's throw from the central station and a short walk from many of the attractions in Rome (although actually finding the hostel is a little tricky as the signs are quite inconsistent. The room was fairly standard for a hostel, with as many lockers as beds (provide your own padlock). The plug sockets next to the bed had true accepting a large European plug without turning...
The location is ideal - it is close to the train station (termini) and you can easily start your own waking tour to all sights from there. (But you can imagine that the neighborhood around the train station gets a bit rough at night.)
It's a pretty nice place; the furniture seems new - although the cleaning staff could have done a better job.
A tiny typical Italian breakfast is included.

Hostel Beauty
Rome, Via Napoleone III 35 🧭 Map
It is not well signposted. The intercom seems to be working intermittently so a I was left standing in the rain for about 40 minutes. There was one socket in my room, which was used for the fan. The fridge was off and was actually emitting heat. The room was very clean and the noise levels were good. Location is great.
We spent only a night there because it was next to Termini station. The place is clean, even if it looks old fashioned. The bathrooms are a bit old, but we expected something more terrible after reading some other reviews. They're like any other old bathrooms in an old house. There was a kitchen but we didn't use it. Staff was polite and helpful and the place is exactly what you pay for: cleap, well...
It was a neat place just a small trouble finding da location coz Der wasn't any good sign on da main road we just walked passed it. N da bed were really thin.

Good and bad, depending on how your roommates. It's very random honestly.
I had a pretty nice experience although I heard some didn't enjoy the stay. It's just a hostel at the end of the day.
It's such a great hostel for the price you pay. You'll see coolest cleaning guy ever, always with a radio on his back while workin' 1980's style, that's cool. Just 5 minutes walk from Termini station the staff are superb, gentle and musically inclined and responsible, I've been sent in a room with the best people room 105 I felt very safe especially at night, unlike in my past hostel's experiences...

Roman Holidays
Rome, Via Volturno 27 🧭 Map
Its a house so has more of a personal feel. The living room is quite comfortable and the location is very central. Owners are also friendly and accommodating. Room has large lockers
Family run hostel! Warm welcome, elevator, full control of the room AC, comfy common room, en-suite bathroom in the dorm, and clean/comfortable bed. Couldn’t ask for more especially at this price!! I didn’t see the free breakfast mentioned in the kitchen, but maybe it was an off day, and it didn’t trouble me too much to walk down the street to a cafe.
Thank you so much for this awesome accommodation. You and your family are very kind, I really enjoyed it in your Hostel
Roman Holidays is a hostel run with the heart. The owners treated me as a family member. It's super well located and the cost is very reasonable. It's very clear in my mind that whenever I come back to Rome I won't stay anywhere else but here :-D
A bit far to walk to some places, but has a super friendly atmosphere and rooms are a great place to cool off after a long day out. It also feels very safe and has a decent kitchen.
The guy who runs the hostel was SO nice. He always offered biscuits and coffee for breakfast. It was very clean. Honestly a nice location too - right by the train station. I had such a nice experience here, and met some great people. No doubt, this is the place I would stay if I ever return to Rome. Also, each room has air conditioning which was lovely.

Roma Scout Center
Rome, Largo Dello Scautismo 1 🧭 Map
The hotel in general is great, unfortunately we received separate beds even though we reserved a large bed. Plastic cups at the breakfast buffet aren't a good choice for a scout center. Personal was friendly. Prices were normal but room service was rather bad, they didn't even touch used towels and sometimes not even bedsheets
That's a good place in a safe location. The only problem was wifi which was sometimes disconnected. Totally I recommend this hostel to you.
Secure, clean, silent. I got a better experience than expected. Close to many bus stops and to the metro. In the night you do not feel insecure walking in the area. I recommend, but did not love the shower area (it's too open to the exterior and you do not have a place to change, you have to do it in a toilet cubicle)
Located in a residential district, the hotel is very big and well kept. Considered as a hostel for scout, you can't expect much: the furniture are essential, and communal bathrooms are cleaned multiple times per day, at the reception they are given lots of information about the city of Rome.
As a venue for events or lessons, however, is a bit anomalous: the rooms are small, but well maintained, the...
I was at the scout center because a friend bad taken a room there.
The rooms are spartan but the environment la confortable and familiar
The air conditioning was broken. In the summer it is especially important, and it was the right feutch and warm in the nights. The shower was also dirty. The location is great and very quiet with good connection options

Cleanliness was good in my room and bathroom. Beds not very comfy.

Incredible staff! They’re extremely knowledgeable of the city and provide tips when traveling to main attractions. Provided breakfast is nice and atmosphere is relaxing.

A great place to stay in Rome for female travellers,. The facilities are very clean and the rooms are comfortable. The staff are great really friendly and helpful. It is walking distance to many of the sights of Rome and close to public transport. The neighborhood is charming and safe with plenty of nearby restaurants. I really enjoyed my stay here.
A unique place to stay. Many ages of woman and a kind of meeting place in the courtyard for woman of Rome. Clean. And excellent location to trastevere, st Marc's square, pantheon, the river, bus stops, palazzo navona and compi De fuori.
Very welcoming and in a great location! If you have the time visit the Farenese Villa half a block away.
Coffee or tea in the morning and staff is always willing to help and advise.
Very nice experience meeting other female solo travelers. The vibe of the hostel is laid back and relaxing. Was easy to feel comfortable
I made so many friends here and met like minded, solo female travellers. Great kitchen and spots to hang out. There's no lock for your bag though, and only one key per room. You also have to pay in cash when you arrive. It got a bit cold at night because it was winter and there weren't many blankets. Great hostel right next to the termini train station.
Free breakfast and coffee.
People staying here were all nice, random bunch of people.
Beds are comfy albeit a bit cramped.
Toilet was clean.
People working here really nice.
The hostel itself is situated in a normal apartment complex near Termini Station, which makes it adequately situated for getting to various places around the city. During the day, the door to the main courtyard is unlocked, but at night you use a key to get in, after which you use your room card to enter the hostel and your room. Although I have heard bad things about the areas around Termini, I found...
Clean sheets, good location, good people and complimentary bread in the morning. The only issue was that there was mold on the shower curtain and in the crevices of the wall tiles. Our bathroom smelled like mold and mildew but my friend was staying in a different room and had an incredible experience. His room was super clean and had no mold!
Great hostel, for the price. Free coffee in the morning and clean rooms. It's not that close to the main attractions in Rome though which would be the main downside. Overall well run place just a little far from the colosseum and such things. Very close to main train station which is handy.
Really a nice place,in center of Rome, near to termini station and totally connected to the city. Full of young people, and there is a time for free happy hour, that was so nice to socialize with the guys. Free breakfast at morning, and receptionist totally kindly and smart. This hostel has been the most social I've stayed at so far, probably because it's quite small and you can't help but meet all the other guests. A small yet friendly and warm hostel located very close to the centre of Rome. It's pretty much a 3 bedroom flat converted into a hostel and has 3-4 mixed dorms accomodating 4-6 people in each.
