Hotel Caravita
Rome, Via Del Caravita 5 🧭 Map
Great hotel located in the center of all of the tourist sites in Rome. The breakfast was decent, and they had gluten-free breads. The 16th century building and the rooms are beautiful and ornately decorated. There was some street noise, however, despite three panes of window glass, but it didn't bother us. My one complaint is that there's no thermostat in the room, and despite the air conditioning...
Great hotel, excellent staff, central location and superb value for money
Nice room. Staff was better then we could ever expect. Thanks again for a lovely stay.
Had a fabulous stay at this hotel. Location was great. Rooms were clean and the breakfast was great. Everyone was very helpful and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Most attractions were in walking distance to this hotel. Only place we bused was to the Vatican. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.
Lovely hotel, the room/bathroom felt quite luxurious and the breakfast spread was excellent. As we were leaving early in the morning for our flight, the receptionist even kindly offered to put us together a packed breakfast for the journey. Great location too, close to the Trevi Fountain.
Best location you could find for this price, atmosphere of a small Boutique hotel. Staff are great and kind, so as the breakfast. The rooms are small like a room in Paris, if you are sensitive to noise coming from the traffic in the street than consider to prepare a decent set of ear plugs, the location has its price...

The decoration of this hotel is relatively old, and the single room is very small. There were some hiccups during check-in. I would like to thank the front desk staff for patiently helping me solve the problem. It's very close to the terminal train station and can be reached on foot.
Perfect! Close to Roma termini train station (5 min walk) lovely breakfast selection, rooms cleaned every day. Nothing but praise. Also there are lots of lovely outdoor seated restaurants right in the same street and a great supermarket only around the corner! Don't be put off by 3 stars and don't believe all the rubbish reviews! Trust me...if it was rubbish...I would say so!
I stayed here last September on my first trip abroad in my life.
While sightseeing, I lost my favourite sandals that I had left in my room, and when I checked with the male staff at reception about it, I was turned away because they said they would check again, and when I checked with the same male staff the next day, I was turned away. The next day I checked with the same male staff member and was...
Had a very friendly staff member. The man with long curly hair (forgot to ask his name) was a great help and spoke/understood English very well. The location lost a star as we were next to an active construction site. The service loses a star because the woman waved off a request on our final morning. Which was rather rude. And 2 stars were lost for the room because 1: The TV didn't work, 2: It didn...
Loved it very much! Special things for me:
Jacuzzi in our bathroom was perfect after long walks,
breakfast was very good, specifically coffee and prosciutto,
we had a room with an inner balcony, no view, but still it was very nice,
beautiful lobby and waiting room for the aesthetics suckers.
The receptionist who checked us in was pleasant and spoke very good English. On the other hand, when checking out, there was another receptionist, who was difficult for me to understand.
He made a mistake and wanted to charge us 600+ euros after we had already paid in advance... After we showed him the voucher, he checked again and apologized for the mistake. It was a slightly unpleasant experience...

The Hotel was very clean, staff extremely friendly and helpful. Would recommend this Hotel to others and would stay here again.
Nice place close to everything ?
Hotel Solis, I would recommend to anyone! It was in the locate in the center of the Heart of Rome, a few block from the Colosseum and The Forums. The staff is absolutely amazing! Their breakfast has a variety of options and the woman who worked it(I can't remember her name?), but she was there Mon thru Sat. She was the kindest woman. She made the best cafe's in Rome! The hotel is quiet, clean, and...
Clean, fairly quiet. Excellent location.
The lights/electricity kept cutting out though which was annoying.
Bars, restaurants and mini market on the same street.
Stayed for 4 nights. Hotel was nice but disappointed in our room 202. Good view over high street though. No tea or coffee facilities which would have been nice but you could get it downstairs. Very dated and needs a bit of a makeover, however, it was clean and was serviced daily. Great location 3-5 minutes from the colosseum, just around the corner with roman forum, palatine Hill etc. right on the...
My personal experience there was wonderful. Andrea and his staff were very hospitable, and helpful. I can't remember her name but the lady who handles the breakfast during the week was just wonderful. She made me so many delicious cappuccinos, gratis! Perfect location and good prices of you want to be in the middle of everything Roman. I'll stay there again if I can ever get back to Italy.

Much older building, with freshly renovated rooms, offers the convenience of being centrally located. Walkability to the train station (5 minutes), Coloseum, a multitude of restaurants, and vibrancy of the city. Staff was super friendly and inclusive breakfast, perfect. A definite recommendation here.
Room and bathroom small but adequate, room safe and fridge provided. Great location easy walk to central rail station and great local public transport or reasonable walk to many Rome attractions.
It was the best hotel I could get,the room was clean and nice.you can hear the voices from the street but it is close to the train and bus station, which is great.

Adequate! The room was very clean and the staff was nice. But this supposed 3 star rating is ridiculous. The hallways were a bit loud, as the marble floors really echo the sounds of doors closing, suitcases rolling, etc, so if you are a light sleeper I would definitely bring ear plugs and a white noise machine. Old fashioned does not begin to describe this place, but hey, you came to Rome to experience...

Amazing hotel, it has all public transport close by. It's very clean and the employees are very nice. Nice simple breakfast. The security guard accompanied my friend to the bus station late at night.
Very close to the train station. The room was basic but was clean. Breakfast was simple and nice.
Looks shady from the outside but on the inside, it’s a delight. Loved the art deco doorknobs, doors and furnishings. Nicely updated and well maintained. Cozy, clean room and bathroom. Excellent, fast internet. Friendly service. Fabulous location. Elevator was modernized and convenient. We had a room at the end of the hallway facing the courtyard. The room was unbelievably quiet given the location....
Great location, clean room, the staff is very helpful. Small fridge in the room and the bath towels are warm!
Wifi is extremely poor in the rooms. Room was fine. Hotel is right beside Termini and in walking distance from everything you need.
My experience was really good with Hotel Lazio. Good location, close to Termini, nearby countless restaurants and shops. It was nearby a chuch and a busy street so when you open the window, you hear a lot of church bells and sirenes, but the room has airconditioning, so opening the window is not a must. I loved the fact that the window have a double door behind it, so you can open the window, the wind...
You are 2 minutes away from Termini. It was great to walk with our suitcases to get access to the train and buses. It was perfect! The good was good. The sweets were fresh and the different choices of coffee were excellent. Good variety of cold cuts and cheeses. It could not have been better. I knew about this hotel because in year 2000 my grandfather took me there and i never forgot it as its literally around the corner from all the cafe and more importantly Trevi Fountain !

The rom we had was facing the main road and we just loved it, loved the noise love opening the large window...
Fantastic location and lovely rooms. Service was unmatched and the breakfast is such a plus. Definitely recommend these guys.
Really nice sized bedroom and bathroom with a lovely view. Clean, linen got changed regularly. The breakfasts were really good, looked forward to them everyday. The hotel staff were very helpful when it came to hiring taxis. It is very centrally situated so we could walk almost everywhere.
Front desk (Daniel) was very helpful. Breakfast is very good, specially squeeze your own fresh orange juice. Room is small, but very nice and clean. Great location.
Loved this hotel! First of all, you can’t beat this location. It’s like a 2 minute walk to the trevi fountain and 10ish minutes to most other things. We woke up around 3 am to walk to the fountain to beat the crowds and then came back and slept. Close to lots of food, including a great cafe right next door. The room itself was BEAUTIFUL! Good location however...the toilet was a mess, water leaking from the floor, the shower takes at least 15 min to get warm and if you dont want to break your neck bring your own pillow. At least the staff was polite.
Staff on the ground level restaurant is extremely professional and well attended. Honestly the room was very small.
I did not stay at this hotel but while traveling alone my phone died at midnight and the staff was sweet enough to call me a taxi. They stayed with me until it got there and made sure I was safe. Make sure you speak a bit of Italian if you stay here!! Thank you!!!!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and a nice selection at breakfast including gluten free options.
I enjoy the hotel due to its location, the service. When ever I come to Rome I stay in this hotel
Three stars based on convenience and location. I always keep an open mind when traveling abroad, and when staying in bigger cities I expect to pay more for a hotel room. This hotel is definitely on the pricier side. However, I wasn’t in Rome to hang out in a hotel room. It was a place to sleep and served its purpose.
Pros: Convenience and location. It’s around the corner from the Trivi Fountain...
Good location but rooms in need of a lot attention. We moved as the first room was facing the road and very noisy. The second room had a bad smell in the bathroom the entire stay. Stayed at Hotel Miami in December- price was great, very nice staff, and good location. There is an elevator also. Very quite not a luxury hotel but for the price point excellent.
Location is right next to various areas and the service was nice. The hotel stuff is kind and friendly.
But the problem is it is facing main street and there's live house pub across the street. The wall is thin. So it's very noisy in the night time. I couldn't sleep well the whole stay.

Good:

Nice breakfast
Good service
********
Bad:
Very old furniture
I could feel mold everywhere 😫
I sneezed and had runny nose for all 2 nights because of mites.
Old and nasty carpet
The front desk staff is amazing, but boy the rooms need some serious attention. It was hot as a lasagna in Rome and our AC was really struggling to keep it at manageable temperatures. Bathrooms are really old, our toilet seat was completely detached from its base and you can see mold/mildew building up on the bathtub.
This hotel and the staff is a gem; the owner just needs to spend some money on it...
This hotel is close to a lot of metro options. They will also call you a taxi so you don’t have to hail one yourself. The staff was super nice. They can provide you with a map so you can see where the tourist attractions are in relation to the hotel. It is also next to an aqua duct water fountain to fill up your water bottles. The room itself can use an uplift. To compare it with some U.S. hotels...
Nice hotel, staff were excellent. I wouldn't drive here, the motorists are nuts! For some reason the toilet didn't have a seat!?
The staff members are so nice. The rooms are nice as well and the location is really convenient. It’s not too far from the bus stop (Porta Pia), which can take you to Termini station. Very easy. This hotel was perfect for a couple of nights in Rome! In my opinion, it was definitely worth the price. Full breakfast included (bacon, scrambled eggs, pastries, deli meat & cheese, yogurt, fruit, juice, coffee, etc.). WiFi was in the hotel and we was somewhat in and out when we were sitting on the bed, but it worked best when we were stationed over by our room's window. WiFi was good enough for searching...
Nice, but small and 1 in 10 rooms are worth staying in. If you get one of those rooms you get a good deal. Staff variable from friendly to grumpy.
Only stayed here because the hotel we booked had cocked up and sent us to this, their sister hotel. Its OK, nice and clean, not bad location, however if you like sleep avoid this hotel. Greatest service I’ve ever experienced. Every staff member was kind and went out of their way to help us get around and explore easier. Side note: towels are super thin (so maybe bring your own).
Basic, no frills hotel. They turn off the electricity and A/C in your room when you go out, which was new for me. Towels are super thin and don't dry well, and they won't give you extras. Great experience in the stay. All great including well functioned the AC, clean room maintained, near the Roma Termi station, and breakfast.
One thing they hope to inspect the bed condition.
It is the most affordable hotel near Central. I think it does everything I ask for, including working ac, comfortable bed, clean bathroom, breakfast services. I enjoyed my three days living here. Of course, the look of the room is a bit vintage, but for these prices, I couldn’t ask for more. However, it would be better if there is also toothbrush and toothpaste.
Room is small...especially the bathroom. The room was noisy in the evening because it was close to an elevator...possibly from the other building. . Each even there was a mechanical sound and a bell ring.
It’s an old building at a rather ghetto and dodgy neighbourhood. Won’t really be safe for solo female travellers since i was catcalled and disturbed by men there as i was walking by. It is near Roma Termini though so public transport is highly accessible. Plenty of souvenirs shops and supermarkets. The hotel itself has thin walls so you can hear other people’s snoring and noise pollution from the streets...
Giving 3 🌟 because its pne of the situations were you get what u payed for … we definitely wanted something cheaper and this was it ! It's close to everything, the meals are tasty and the rooms are clean and the staff is nice. The downside though is that the walls are apparently paper thin. It's not a problem, if you get a nice neighbour, but if you get some nocturnal screamer, to whom the concept of silence appears to be absolutely incomprehensible, you will be forced to listen to his mating calls for as long, as he will emit them...
Couldn't ask for a better spot in Rome for the money. The rooms were clean and comfortable, while the staff made you feel welcome. They have all the necessities but not much on the luxuries, which comes with the cost savings. Perfect for those who actually want to get out of the hotel and experience Rome.
Location is great, staff is very nice and helpful, and the amenities are clean and nice sized. Breakfast is included.
Location is great. Staff in hotel are nice and helpful. House keeping is great.
