The Westin Excelsior Rome Hotel, Rome1 / 50
8.0
Rome, Via Vittorio Veneto 125 🧭 Map
There are many breakfast varieties, but no Chinese food. The hotel is in a great location. There is a subway 650 meters away, close to the US Embassy in Italy, and it feels very safe. The waiter has a very good attitude
It's in a high-end hotel area, quiet and clean, very close to the Pantheon. There was a long queue of people and VIPs with guns at the Merrill Lynch Hotel next door early in the morning
The room we booked is relatively large. The hotel environment is very retro and has a strong European cultural atmosphere. There is no electric kettle in the room, so you need to prepare it yourself
After traveling through Europe for 2 weeks this was by far my favorite place that we stayed. The rooms were spacious, we had a huge room with columns. I loved the green interior and all the decor
The bathroom and closet were huge!! We even had two balconies. The bed was extremely comfortable, we got robes and slippers. The location was safe, and close to several things
The staff was so very helpful - they gave us recommendations for dinner and arranged for a car to take us to the airport (same price as a taxi, but so much more comfortable)

It’s also an easy 5 minute walk from the center train station, or 20 minute cab or bus from all the main sites
the staff were incredible and this was the first hotel where they didn’t make a big deal about wanting to check in early and were very accommodating and friendly, location is excellent as it’s a 5 min walk from the main train station and the metro is very close by as well
The rooms were beautiful and the location is great - 5 mins from Termini and 15-20 on foot from the Colosseum. A great spot to meet colleagues or enjoy a stay away. It is now my hotel of choice for Rome
Rome was very clean and had good amenities. Also I left a personnel item behind and they located it promptly and are organising shipping to my home which is fantastic
I had a wonderful stay at Starhotels Metropole. The hotel is beautiful and perfectly located — you can reach almost everything by walking, which makes it very convenient for exploring Rome
The staff were excellent, always helpful and welcoming. I want to give special thanks to Osama, who was extremely kind, professional, and attentive. He truly made my stay even more comfortable

A fantastic hotel in the most stunning building overlooking a fountain. Beautifully modern lobby, reception, bar and dining area. We stayed in 363 (the blue room - the only one of its kind in the hotel)
The hotel is immaculately maintained and clean - a real standout for us having visited a number of other 5 star hotels in the area. The reception staff, concierge, porters and general manager are exceptional
Very nice hotel, outside and inside, ideally located, two restaurants were you can find different dishes to escape Roma classic pizza-pasta-etcetera. Personnel is very helpful and friendly
I could immediately feel the elegance and attention to detail throughout. The location is perfect for exploring Rome, and everything is just a short walk or drive away, the central train station is nearby
Gucci and Faruk were particularly outstanding—they were so friendly, attentive, they took the time to ensure I felt comfortable during my visit, which made the experience even more memorable
Their warmth and professionalism made me feel right at home. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for an unforgettable experience in Rome. I’ll definitely be returning!

I arrived very early for a two day stay (around 9:30 am) and the super friendly reception gave me an early check-in which on a rainy day in Rome was fantastic… the hotel has large rooms which are very quite, excellent bed and fantastic shower in both pressure and temperature which is hard to find in Rome centre
Enjoyed my stay at this 4 star hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Single room was spacious enough. Clean. Very close to the termini station for trains/metro/buses. I slept well and would stay again, thank you.
Reasonably priced hotel close to train station and transport hub which was a bonus. Our room was clean but the en- suite was tiny. We were on the second floor and street noise was a bit annoying
Breakfast was pleasant enough with plenty of choice, although there wasn't much hot food if that's your preference. Staff were friendly and service was good
To top it off the breakfast was fresh and delicious. tip, don’t use the coffee machines. ask for a dress made cappuccino etc from the waitresses
Service was awesome, from the front desk - thanks Francesca! - to the doormen! The hotel restaurant had good food and exceptional service

An amazingly central hotel that is mostly well presented. The rooms are clean with the exception of dusty skirting boards
The hotel is lovely, very old, located in the historic centre, but in need of renovation already ohhh very long time. If it was a plane, he would have forbidden to fly 10 years ago. All outdated, smelled of old age
Great location in the centre but in quiet area. Rooms are nice and clean. Lobby is small but impressive. Staff is friendly and quick to help you. Cozy hoel.
Beautiful hotel with a great location in Rome. We really enjoyed the rooftop terrace overlooking the Piazza Venezia and Pantheon for Breakfast. Our suite was very spacious and clean. We would highly recommend this hotel
We ate breakfast in the rooftop restaurant and it was impeccable. We could not have asked for anything more. From the fresh flowers in each of the bedrooms to the the bottle of wine in our living room
The place is fantastic. Renovated hotel with great roof top garden. The breakfast is poor, which is strange for a 5 star hotel! But staff is frendly and helpfull. Rooms are specious and comfortable!

My family of four visited Rome during spring break and stayed three nights at the NH Collection hotel
very close to train station, if you want to travel Italy by train. great breakfast!
Overall, a nice hotel in Roma center. Spare you the pain to further transport to the hotel
I had an amazing stay here, the location is very good! The hotel is very nice, but the best part about my stay was the staff! Especially Giusi and Claudio made sure i felt very welcome and did everything to make sure i was happy
The attentive staff truly went above and beyond to ensure our stay was exceptional. A delightful surprise awaited us in the room—a birthday treat that added a personal, thoughtful touch
It’s clear that the team here takes great pride in creating memorable experiences. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a place that balances luxury with attention to detail

The staff is exceptional, supporting and ready to help. Rooms are spacious, confortable and clean! The location is great, per se, right in the center, close to Termini station and Monti quarter
Great location, close to Termini station. Just few minutes walking distance. Direct train to/from the airport. Lot of nice restaurants nearby. The room is clean and size is pretty good for European hotels
Great location and staff is great. Very close to central station super easy to move around the city. During the night can sometimes be a bit noisy from the streets.
The hotel is conveniently located to Roma Termini. No need for a cab from the train station, a big plus after a long flight. The rooms are pretty small, 12-18 sq. meters, but it didn't bother me, which is unusual
The location is close to Termini which is very conveneint. The front desk is very nice and kind. The room had everything we need and the breakfast is vary and good in quality.
Need to ask for things like toothbrushes. No daily free bottle of water. We stayed there for 3 nights and we got 1 x 500ml water bottle to share. Also not too sure why there was an exercise bike in the room

The turn-down service lady was amazing—so meticulous and thoughtful, keeping our room tidy and spotless every evening. Housekeeping was equally outstanding, ensuring our room was always immaculate
One morning, a staff member congratulated us on our celebration, even though I had only mentioned it to the front desk via the app. This level of care and attention truly sets the hotel apart
The hotel's housekeeping manager, lobby manager, lobby staff, and housekeeping staff all took the initiative to provide us with a lot of help at the first time
The location is ideal for exploring Rome, with major attractions and shopping districts within walking distance and train and bus stops nearby

Nice and romantic hotel but it is quite far from the center and no said in the advertisement. Next time I may not come back to stay because it is too far to the center
The step at this hotel goes above and beyond to make sure that you are as comfortable as possible, and that you enjoy your stay and the city in an amazing way. When we arrived, my son was very sick
Again, they did everything they could to assist us. We could not have asked for a more compassionate group of people to help us navigate what should have been a long awaited vacation. The rooms are absolutely stunning
Their breakfast and valet service are top notch and their turndown service is impeccable! I would highly recommend this place without hesitation!! Grazie W staff!!
We loved our stay at the W Rome! From the amazing location, the design and top quality of the products and rooms, to the delicious food. every detail exceed our expectations

I stayed in this beautiful resort when I was in our Rome office in Via San Nicola da Tolentino, at the corner of Via Veneto.
Super satisfied! We forgot our valuables in the room and they kept them for us! ! ! !
The room is clean and tidy, the location is good, the security is good, the service attitude of the hotel staff is good, and the breakfast is also very good; the hotel facilities are relatively modern and comfortable, and the advancedness is relatively high
The room is a bit small and the facilities are a bit old, but the overall service and experience are good! It's a pity that there is no swimming pool! The price-performance ratio is good, the hotel is in a good location, and the service staff is of good quality!
The room is not very big, and there is no welcome fruit or dessert after booking for 5 nights. The view from the balcony room is also very bad
The French style is simple and generous, comfortable and fashionable, and the cost performance is relatively high; I am quite satisfied with the living experience; it is for your reference only

Paired with an abundance of free in-room amenities, tea & coffee making facility, this stay didn't just meet our expectations; it completely exceeded them. Unquestionably the best in its class!
Perfect place to stay to visit Rome! Elegant and located in a strategic place, at two steps from the Metro station, you can reach all the historical center on foot. Congratulations to the staff, kind and efficient.
This hotel is an absolute gem and truly redefines the 3-star experience in Rome. We were astonished by the exceptional value, especially given our incredibly spacious room
A delightful stay at this charming boutique hotel. The location couldn't be better, and the host, Angelika, truly made our experience special. Her warm welcome and helpfulness were outstanding

The location is not central, but it is not bad either. The junior suite was spacious and comfortable, and the option of booking the private spa is encouraging for any couple that would like to book
It was spacious, clean, and smelled amazing. Every little detail thought of. I also LOVED the bathroom and shower. The staff were amazing, endless reservations made for us with great recommendations
Great property. Amazing rooms and service, very friendly and responsive staff, the included breakfast could be better with more options but apart from that all good, will be going back for sure.
We never had to touch our luggage, and a taxi was called for us when we checked out. I've never experienced such a great place. I loved the area and got to get to know it very quickly

Overnight stay often in this hotel. Many of the rooms are definitely in need of renovation. Located in a strategic position in the centre of Rome. The breakfast is good: side bar italian breakfast
We were very satisfied when we stayed there in 2022 ! But this year we would stay in this hotel, but it is closed now. Why ???? No reason is permitted-
The hotel is old. Probably built in the 70's and never renewed. Windows have bad noise insulation. Truly old fashioned. The staff is very friendly and helpful though.
The rooms are good, but the TV had only channels in Italian language , which is disappointing , The breakfast is very delicious , coffee is amazing, they have coffee machine, its free, The baristas’ and restaurant staff are very kind and pleasant
The reception staff is also good, Especially Mr Fabio , he is very attentive kind and helpful. Room is being cleaned every day. The cleaners do excellent job , everything is clean and fresh
We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The location is very good , close to everything we needed

Great service, helpful stuff and amazing rooms. It has a nice central location and isis easy to get to and from. However, the internet was a bit dodgy here and there
This is my favourite hotel in Rome. Its old world charm and architecture, gr8 service and our room was stylish and spotless. The bars r devine and at Christmas the decorations and tree really beautiful
The Nazis occupied it during WW11. Loved the marble lion staircase
The hotel itself was a 5 star in the breakfast buffet (discounted when purchased while booking your room -- a bargain well worth it with supreme selections and variety and polished servers) lobby, staff service, beautiful stained glass windows, marbled staircase and bathroom, ornate painted ceilings/walls in dining area and elevator
Great location as everything is located literally 20 min walk to all the attractions. The Grand Hotel Plaza has a lot of history and unique design to its credit
We had three rooms however all varied in size and Facilities The rooms are generally clean and have traditional furniture and the rooms have been modified for air-conditioning The bathroom also are fairly large yet need more thought into the design

Great property! We loved our stay. Special thanks to Mario, every morning it was a pleasure to go for brekfast and to see him with a smile and his outstanding professionalism! He’s a real added value to the Hotel!
The new bar is a stunning addition, bringing a fresh energy to the hotel’s timeless elegance. Hotel de Russie consistently delivers an unforgettable experience. I can’t wait to return! Tatiana IPPOLITI
The gardens are a peaceful place to be, with the sound of fountains, soft conversation, and clinking glasses. Trust me when I tell you that you will not think you are in the middle of a major city
Once again, the team at Hotel de Russie made the experience absolutely fabulous! Their ability to make things happen, even during such a high-profile event, is nothing short of remarkable
Every sip feels like a toast to the small things in life. A visit here isn't just a moment; it's an experience that stays with you. I shall soon return, looking for more of this feeling
Without a doubt, their whiskey sours are the best in Rome. They are perfectly balanced, smooth, and have that effortless sophistication that only this place can give you

Extremely convenient location as it's just situated next to the central train station, clean room and nice breakfast
The hotel has a chef preparing fresh food on the spot, with several assistants ensuring everything runs smoothly. There was a wide variety of hot dishes and plenty of food available, with everything served fresh and hot
Overall nice hotel, great staff, good location.   Air conditioning was having trouble keeping up, but it was a heatwave.  Additionally, there was a power outage, but these things are beyond their control.
The location is perfect as it is a road crossing to the Roma Termini. However, a perfect stay was ruined because the temperature in the room was warm. They have a centralized air con system
The hotel is perfect, staff are very friendly and professional, the location is 1 min work from the Roma Termini trains station so no need for additional transport cost when going or coming from the airport or for shopping, I really enjoyed the hotel 😊
Room & Facilities The room appeared clean and recently renovated, but it was quite small. It had all the basics, including a functioning heater and a TV, and the bathroom was spotless, with plenty of towels provided

It honestly felt like more than just a one-level upgrade and far exceeded our expectations. The location is fantastic, right in front of a subway station, making it very convenient to get to all major attractions
The only minor downside is that the hotel layout is a bit complex and takes some time to get used to. Other than that, I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely choose it again on my next trip to Rome
Even when multiple taps were used at the same time, there was no drop in pressure or temperature. The hotel provided more than enough towels, and the heated towel rack warmed up quickly
Soundproofing was excellent, making the stay very comfortable and quiet. As a high-tier member and having noted that we were celebrating a special occasion, the hotel thoughtfully decorated the room and upgraded us
From the moment we arrived, the service stood out—the bell staff and front desk were not only professional but also very friendly and knowledgeable, making us feel welcome right away
The service was outstanding and beyond my expectations of a five-star hotel. The water temperature was very stable with strong water pressure, and hot water came through quickly

Additionally, we were informed that breakfast would be included which was a pleasant surprise! Having traveled all day we were seeking something to eat, which isn’t always easy at that hour on a Sunday
Our family of three stayed comfortably for five nights in the oval room, which had a wonderful balcony to enjoy. We slept very well as the area is quiet at night

I’ve been to many hotels in Europe and this one, by far, was the most quiet in a big city. Rooms are a little older, but nice. Rooftop bar was better than the 5-star pantheon iconic hotel

Bus stops so near to the hotel. It's helpful to my tiring feet after so much walk around Rome. Other than popular tourist sites, we love to wander around the streets. Equipment in the gym is fine, too
Very nice hotel, location is also nice and a lot of pizza restaurants and halal food around, 5 minutes walking from the Termini train station. Not the perfect time to go out from 11 pm
It’s the best hotel when we were travelling in Europe what I mean is the service and buffet breakfast were great and walk 3-5 minutes from the main train station
Excellent location. Very close to Roma Termini and airport shuttles. Good shopping. Halal food was all around on the close vicinity.
Very well located, great service and very nice People in the reception. Only thing to improve is the bad smell in the badroom.
