Where to stay with car in Rome

Even though the immediate area is so busy (we visited in July), the hotel is a tranquil oasis, with some of the best soundproofing and aircon! I’m lucky to have been able to stay at some amazing hotels, and the kind, attentive staff here definitely offer some of the best and most professional hospitality I’ve experienced anywhere

Perfect location, convenient to walking to all the top sites. Trevi fountain was literally steps away. The staff was amazing, very convenient, so comfortable and our room is really large (we stayed in the annex)

A fantastic location from which to explore the city. Originally booked to stay with my husband but then travelled with a friend instead - the hotel would be ideal for either couples or friends

Small hotel by American standards but the service was impeccable perfectly located in the heart of Rome. Trevi fountain Pantheon, Spanish steps, Colosseum. The staff is/was my favorite part

My husband and I loved this hotel! It was like a cocoon in the middle of the city! We arrived on the last leg of our trip to Italy. We had been cycling and staying at a total of 8 hotels

The location is incredible - you are a 30 second walk to the Trevi fountain at the heart of Rome. The rooms are clean and comfortable. More over - the free breakfast was delicious!

I went for an aperitif at the hotel’s roof top restaurant The staff were welcoming and overwhelmingly courteous. The view overlooking the forum and the war memorial of pz Venezia was enough to take your breath away

The breakfast is amazing and there are no words to describe the service. The staff simply goes the extra mile to make your stay a remarkable one. Absolutely sure this will be my choice again whenever in Rome

It is perfectly located near all tourist attractions but sufficiently tucked away from the crowds. The rooms are super comfortable and have a breathtaking view (make sure to ask for a room with a view)

Amazing location, GORGEOUS room, and very friendly staff! We stayed here for the first 2 nights of our honeymoon and it they made sure we felt very special. Highly recommend!

4stars only in dream. Nice location, near station and center. Friendly staff , but old equipment in rooms. One day without hot water. Small rooms, no cards tp open rooms, only keys. Only could breakfast.

Loved staying here couple years ago! The owner is very friendly helped find hidden gems in the city. Also got engaged in this hotel so many lovely memories 😍

Charming old fashioned hotel with carpeted rooms and ample space located just to down the road from the main RR station. Extremely reasonable prices and very convenient location

Very decent hotel, in walking distance to main attractions of Rome

The hotel is about 5 min walk from the Rome train station and 3 min walk from the other metro station. Walkable distances to the colosseum and Roman forum. There are also many interesting restaurants nearby

Unfortunately WiFi connection was poor for us on third floor and breakfast had a very limited choice but we didn't spend a whole lot of time in the hotel due to sightseeing

We had a lovely well equipped room; after a great night out in Rome then back to a wonderful bed with an excellent comfortable mattress

Good location, within decent walking distance of all the main attractions. Shop next door and plenty of restaurants nearby. Good room and bathroom. Room service was better than expected and lots of choice at breakfast.

I think this is my 10th or 11th visit here over the years and that says it all. Nice, clean rooms. Fantastic staff and they also offer a gluten free breakfast. Am seriously considering moving in permanently!! ?

The hotel was clean and staff very friendly! I certainly would consider staying at Oxford again if I were to visit in the future. We had a excellent meal in the restaurant which I would thoroughly recommend

It's all about your expectations with Hotel Oxford. It's a great hotel that's situated outside of that typical city rush, which was perfect after a busy day touring the city centre

Not to mention, we would have shown up for a tour that was scheduled (through another site in error) but Peter was very sweet to show us why there was no tour and the site had made a big mistake

A bit outdated furniture and bed, but the bathroom was newly renovated. The good thing is room is very clean and room service did a great job everyday. Staff is friendly and accommodating

What a great place to stay! Very close to many attractions and the manager Peter was the best! The top floor breakfast was great with an awesome view

Very close to touristic areas and attractions. We mostly walked to everywhere and no need for any means of transportation

Also many times there’s a lady constantly asking the guests to write a good review on booking when we just want to enjoy our breakfast peacefully before the food is taken at 9

I’m giving a 4 star review mostly because of the excellent location and the friendly and helpful staff at reception. However, the situation is different at breakfast

We opted for the Italian breakfast every morning on the rooftop which was fantastic - it included 2 fresh croissants, fruits, juice and fresh coffee - I honestly don't understand some of the previous reviews criticising the breakfast and the lady who served us every morning, Rita, was very friendly and accommodating

Spent 4 nights in Doria Palace and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Location is great, just over 5 mins walk from Termini station and within walking distance to alot of the main attractions (including Colloseum, Pantheon etc

The hotel is great. The location is good if you are coming by train. It s very well priced and the service is excellent and ultra professional. Beds are comfortable and the rooms are spotless.

Lastly, all of the receptionists were lovely and extremely helpful, including Roxana and Luca. They were always happy to give us tips every morning before we went out sightseeing for the day

Great small hotel. The rooms are clean and new and the staff, like Roxana, is helpful and professional. Great location if you’re taking the train from and to Fiumicino from Termini.

Would highly recommend staying here for a long weekend away and we will certainly be back next time we are in Rome

Had a fabulous stay at this hotel. Rooms were clean and the breakfast was great. Everyone was very helpful and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Most attractions were in walking distance to this hotel

Great hotel located in the center of all of the tourist sites in Rome. The breakfast was decent, and they had gluten-free breads. The 16th century building and the rooms are beautiful and ornately decorated

As we were leaving early in the morning for our flight, the receptionist even kindly offered to put us together a packed breakfast for the journey. Great location too, close to the Trevi Fountain

My one complaint is that there's no thermostat in the room, and despite the air conditioning, the room was a bit too warm for us in August

Perfect! Close to Roma termini train station (5 min walk) lovely breakfast selection, rooms cleaned every day

The rooms weren't big, but their size was more than enough. The only negative thing (if that even can be counted as negative) is that you get a breakfast list, from which you choose what you want to eat - with no limits

The decoration of this hotel is relatively old, and the single room is very small. There were some hiccups during check-in. I would like to thank the front desk staff for patiently helping me solve the problem

Loved it very much! Special things for me: Jacuzzi in our bathroom was perfect after long walks, breakfast was very good, specifically coffee and prosciutto, we had a room with an inner balcony, no view, but still it was very nice, beautiful lobby and waiting room for the aesthetics suckers

On the last day of my stay, after I checked out at reception, I checked with the female staff member who was in charge of me about the sandals

The staff is absolutely amazing! Their breakfast has a variety of options and the woman who worked it(I can't remember her name?), but she was there Mon thru Sat

Regardless of that, I still give them 5 stars cuz they are amazing in every other way you could imagine! We're going back at the end of this year and hoping to book there again

Hotel Solis, I would recommend to anyone! It was in the locate in the center of the Heart of Rome, a few block from the Colosseum and The Forums

My fiance and I never slept better! The only complaint I would have is that they had an old Wi-Fi system that wasn't always working

She made the best cafe's in Rome! The hotel is quiet, clean, and cozy. Everyone warned me about the beds being harder in Europe

My personal experience there was wonderful. Andrea and his staff were very hospitable, and helpful. I can't remember her name but the lady who handles the breakfast during the week was just wonderful

The staff was phenomenal! The guy who welcomed us waited for us till late night,keep the parking place in front of the hotel for us and went to the nearest supermarket to buy a wine bottle for my friend in the midnight!!!! Breakfast was good

I'm not paid to say this but Hotel Milo still remains my Favourite hotel in Rome! I have stayed here for more than 8 times and mainly because the location is so darn good - Just 3 mins walk from the Termini train station! Breakfast was not too bad and the staffs were really polite and helpful

Much older building, with freshly renovated rooms, offers the convenience of being centrally located. Walkability to the train station (5 minutes), Coloseum, a multitude of restaurants, and vibrancy of the city

Staff was super friendly and inclusive breakfast, perfect. A definite recommendation here

It was the best hotel I could get,the room was clean and nice. you can hear the voices from the street but it is close to the train and bus station,which is great

It's really close to Termini, which is the heart of the Rome metro system, which means it's super convenient to reach most of the city

The only false note, the breakfast was very good and plentiful, but completely self-service, and therefore coffee and cappuccino are vending machine, it would have been better almeni have the machine to capsules illy as the one present in the room for personal use

Staff friendly and efficient, the rooms in the new part are excellent, especially in relation to the price, definitely better than what you would expect from a three star hotel

The rooms are clean and new and the breakfast is tasty with lots of options , fresh fruit , toast , pastries , cereal , vegetables cakes , coffee fresh fruit juice

Stayed at Hotel Miami in December- price was great, very nice staff, and good location. There is an elevator also. Very quite not a luxury hotel but for the price point excellent.

I was not in the room, as they said they would let me know by email. The next morning, noise started again before 9am

Great location metro 5 min walk railway station and main bus station 10 mins... Great staff very friendly and polite and very helpful..room was cleaned and towels changed every day.... I would return to this hotel.

Everything was around us and in walking distance, we never had to use a cab/bus. If you’re into historical monuments you’d love it, it’s all in the area. Our rooms were really clean and comfortable

Many delicious restaurants nearby Luxury stores Gucci, prada, dior, ysl etc within 5-8 mins walk Colosseo walk about 20 minutes Vatican 25-30 mins They offer guests who stay at their property orange,pineapple juice 9am-5pm in their lobby everyday Housekeepers clean our room and change new towels daily

Very very good location and very quiet. The room was very specious, clean, large bed. The bathroom is clean and also very specious. The staff is amazing, helpful and very very friendly

As for 3 stars hotel in the old part of the city and comparing to the price - very very recommended

Stayed here in May it was so enjoyable! I loved the view and the location was amazing. The staff were super friendly and spoke perfect English. I felt super safe as a solo female traveller

Receptionist was super kind and told me to take my time checking out which I really appreciate. The hotel was near a lot of attractions and supermarkets as well as a 4 min walk to the Metro

The room was nicely decorated and fit the whole Italian theme. My room was spotless upon arrival and was cleaned every day. There was a constant supply of soap, shampoo and toilet paper

Finally, you got what you pay for- not a luxury hotel- but very nice and gives good value for your money- and the best part- the great location- 15 minutes for trevi fountain and the collousiom, 2 minutes from metro station

The are area is very safe and close to everything and near to main Street with a lot of stores and resturants. I stayed there with my family for 1 week in July 2019 and I was very satisfied

Our room was compact but had everything we needed. Aircon was good, bed comfortable, the shower cubical was a squeeze but the water pressure was great. Small fridge in the room is good enough for a few bottles of water

Not a five star hotel but very good. Clean, comfortable and located in a good spot. Only downside is that there is a lot of steps to reach reception. A basic hotel but I would recommend it.

I never had a breakfast as I'm a lazy bones and don't get up till late morning ha! They also had a free drinks between 6 - 8pm each evening nice for a get to know someone else time

Location is superb, 10-15 min to all major attractions such as Spanish steps and Trevi Fountain. Coliseum is a little further but still walking distance. They gave us great recommendations on food places

The location is not central, but it is not bad either. The junior suite was spacious and comfortable, and the option of booking the private spa is encouraging for any couple that would like to book

Definitely will stay here again on our next trip to Rome. I also love that the lobby had free umbrellas to rent which was perfect for a rainy afternoon

Via Margutta might just be the most charming street in Rome, centrally located and quiet. The public areas are beautiful, the rooms are extremely well appointed

My partner had a small medical urgency and they contacted a doctor who came by the hotel that day, and took care of the problem. There is a pharmacy is 5 minutes walk away
