Hotel Des Epoques in Rome

Wonderful hotel with great value for money! Like many places in Rome, this hotel had a mix of very good and very bad reviews, which made choosing difficult at first. But we are so happy we chose this one-it exceeded our expectations! The staff were lovely, the prices were fair, and the overall atmosphere was very pleasant.

This is a very nice hotel close to Rome termini station. It has big rooms with all modern amenities. We arrived earlier than our stipulated check in time but they had kept our room ready! The food was nice. The staff at the reception is very polite and helpful. If you have any doubts regarding Rome sightseeing you can ask them and they will help you. I recommend this hotel for everyone who is visiting Rome

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Des Epoques at the start of our honeymoon.
The location was relatively simple to get to from Termini, with a bus stop on either side of the road it was convenient for us to explore the city for a few days.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, even though my Italian communication is severely lacking I think the staff enjoyed and appreciated that my wife was able to pick it up and speak Italian pretty well, they were patient with us learning and speaking the language.

The Hotel itself is nice and reasonably well kept for the price point. Our room was sufficient with space and clean. The bathroom was showing some signs of water damage but was functional and felt clean. The Aircon was a lifesaver once I figured out how to get it to work.

The staff even allowed us to store our luggage there after we checked out so we could enjoy every minute of the city we didn’t want to leave.

Overall a wonderful experience that after a day or two calmed the nerves of our first time travelling.

Great place, the location is perfect for staying out of the busy places but having really easy access to everywhere, bus 62 got us to all the sights or it is walking distance. Breakfast was nice only tried the coffee and pastry but can't complain tasted fresh and good coffee, hotel is surrounded by phenomenal places to eat and a great supermarket. The room had great air-conditioning, comfy bed and a fridge, nice balcony for some air (no view was just in the middle of the building but still nice) some minor cracks / bits that have been patched up if you're really looking but a cosy room in a great location!

Very happy with stay! Staff pleasant and exceedingly helpful - directions, bus numbers, restaurant suggestions (all exceptional) and just making stay smooth. Location close to bus stop and Roma Termini station - not super congested area, but accessible to Rome attractions. Room comfortable.

It's in a very good location. Although it was a hot summer, the air conditioning worked really well and I was able to have a comfortable and cool time. The staff is friendly, the breakfast is delicious, and I know several hotels in Rome, but none are as good as this one at this price. I don't understand the negative reviews and the low ratings. It's so underrated.

I spent two days at the Des Epoques hotel and was truly amazed by the interior of the place. It is an old hotel in the middle of Rome with a beautiful classic-style breakfast room. The administrator was polite and helpful, so I want to recommend this place. However, the hotel is a little overpriced.
