Athena Hotel in Rome

I stayed at a this 'three-Star' hotel and I must say that the neighborhood was dirty, the rooms were dirty, and overall it was a disappointing experience. I have stayed at a three-star hotel in Rome before which was much better in comparison. The rooms were small, the beds were narrow, the bathroom was on a slope compared to the floor of the room, the grout in the bathroom was dirty, and there was an unpleasant smell in the room. All the furniture looked old and dirty, the walls were dirty, and the accommodation was expensive. The rooms were not soundproof at all, and we could hear everything happening in other rooms and at the reception. I had to constantly wake up my father out of fear that someone could hear his snoring, and someone even knocked on our door at midnight. The sink in the bathroom was damaged and discolored, as well as the shower tray and toilet. The shower was also moldy, there was only one socket in a double room, and only one chair because there was no space for another one. It seems to me that the positive reviews were left by mistake, as there is a four-star hotel with the same name on Booking.com. In my opinion, this hotel should be closed for sanitary reasons.
