The Regency,, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

This hotel is lovely! Great staff and a very clean, modern room! The breakfast was also wonderful, a mix between an American foods and traditional Italian offerings. Highly recommend! If we come back to Rome, definitely going to come back here. Thank you so much!

City Views, Comfy Beds & Thoughtful Touches – A Stay Worth Repeating

My husband and I stayed at this hotel from May 21–25, 2025, and ended up loving it so much, we came back for one more night before flying home!

From the moment we arrived, the experience was seamless. Early check-in? No problem. Our balcony room was ready, and it was even better than we expected—sleek, modern, and super cozy. The highlight? Two doors on either side of the bed that opened onto a private balcony with a gorgeous city view. It felt like our own little urban retreat.

The bed was one of the comfiest we’ve ever slept in (hotel or otherwise), and the smart TV with Chromecast let us unwind with our favorite Netflix shows at night. Plenty of closet space meant we could unpack and feel at home without tripping over our bags.

The bathroom was bright and spacious with thoughtful touches like a magnifying mirror and lots of counter space. We had a tub/shower combo during our first stay—it looked great, but may not be ideal for someone with mobility challenges. Still, it felt like a spa experience in the city.

Breakfast each morning was a win—an ample buffet with a solid variety of options to fuel up before heading out. And the location? Perfect. We walked to most places, and when we didn’t feel like walking, Uber and taxis were easy to grab. The hotel staff were genuinely helpful, giving us great lunch recommendations and even helping organize transportation.

When we returned for one final night before heading home, the experience was just as great. This time, our room had a different (but equally enjoyable) view and a bathroom that was even more accessible—no tub, just a spacious walk-in shower, which we appreciated.

In short: this hotel hit all the right notes—style, comfort, convenience, and warm hospitality. We’re already talking about when we can come back. We enjoyed a lovely dinner at the hotel on our last night, which was the perfect way to end our stay.

My wife and I stayed four nights at the Regency. There were positives and negatives to the stay. Titanium elite with minimum benefits received.

Location is pretty good. We walked and used taxis to get around. Plenty of restaurants in walking distance of hotel.

SNA was denied (#BonvoyedAgain). Asked for upgrade to room with a balcony…denied also. Our room was nice but quite small. Bathroom had frosted glass window that illuminates the bedroom even with low light…shines right in the face of someone sleeping.

Elite breakfast wasn’t very tasty and had few choices. Most surprising was a five euro charge for a Coke Zero with breakfast. Seemed a bit egregious.

Housekeeping cleaned the room daily but one day took out unopened bottle of Prosecco, clean glasses and ice bucket. FDA sent replacement but no ice. The Prosecco came from hotel mgmt with a nice birthday greeting for my wife.

The hotel posted a Happy Hour buffet and drinks for 15 euros…we went twice but found no buffet. The bartender tried to explain that we ordered from a menu but after five Euro Cokes we were slow to try it that way.

Dinner one night at the restaurant was tasty and a fair value.

Most likely, we will choose a different property on our return to Rome. This one wasn’t bad but I really hoped for more as a property and as a Titanium Elite.

I do not have enough positive things to say about this hotel. Specifically, Elena in the hotel restaurant was absolutely wonderful. Your experience as a guest was at the center of every decision made by the hotel. The rooms were modern, elegant, though a little tight and the amenities were top-notch. The staff were all attentive and a delight to be around. I'll be staying here again in future.

Really nice hotel and great breakfast. I was a little sceptical as it's one of the cheaper Marriott's in the city, but it was soooo nice! The bedrooms were big, clean, with bathtubs and balconies. The breakfast was good and our waitress was so kind and remembered my coffee order each morning and ensured I got a fresh warm gluten free chocolate croissant which completely made my trip. Thank you so much!

My wife and I greatly enjoyed our week stay at this hotel. The front desk was so nice, personable, and helpful (shout out to Martina, Noemi, Vincenzo, and others). We felt like they were truly invested in making our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The rooms were modern and sleek. The shower was top notch. The area is in a quieter part of town, but the walk to a metro station is only about .5 miles. There are some very nice restaurants and a grocery store nearby. If we travel to Rome again, we will definitely be staying here.

The hotel was clean and professionally managed, but I'm leaving this review mostly because of the most helpful hotel employee we've ever met, Martina. She was absolutely terrific, knew everything about the area, spoke American English better than an American, and totally reliable. For example, when we needed to get up the next morning early to catch our flight, she made sure our car was back 15 minutes earlier than we needed it and said she would wake us up if we didn't show up by a certain time. Sure enough, the car was there exactly when we needed it. Martin was there nearly every day we stayed, and she has the warmest and friendliest attitude. This is the kind of person that should be put in a manager position, if she's not already.

Exquisite stay at The Regency. An upscale boutique hotel nestled on the northern side of the city, you’re in close proximity to a number of great restaurants and the Spanish Steps.

Customer service was excellent, Alexia at the front desk was so warm and welcoming. The folks down in the restaurant were kind as well. They left me DELICIOUS croissants and a handwritten letter in the room.

Very nice rooms. Some have terrace access with oversized balconies. Even pleased to see that one plug has USB-C ports in the room. Excellent upscale shower. Didn’t want to go home, stay here!

Great hotel and location. Room was modern and clean and quiet. Good a service were excellent. Easy to walk to all of Romes does. Highly recommended.

Stayed for 3 nights in May and service at this property was the 1 aspect that let it down. Arrived late morning after a long haul flight from Australia and was told by the lady at reception that the room wasn't ready as yet but if I checked in via the Marriot Bonvoy app she would let us know when the room was available. Didn't receive any message so returned to the hotel at 3:30pm only to find that the room had been ready for sometime. Room was clean but small, shower was great, location is not far to get to the tourist sights. Had similar issue to other guests where staff would enter the room without acceptable notice. Breakfast offering was pretty basic which was disappointing, and no ordering a second coffee..Wouldn't stay here again.
