Located in Campania, in Sorrento, in 54 km from the airport of Naples.

I had an incredible stay at the Grand Hotel President in Sorrento! From the moment I arrived, the service was exceptional. I was pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade to a private villa, which offered stunning views of the coast—absolutely breathtaking. The villa itself was immaculate and spacious, with every detail thoughtfully taken care of.
The food at the hotel’s restaurant was outstanding. The menu had a separate vegetarian section, and every dish I tried was delicious. The quality of the ingredients and the presentation were top-notch. The staff at the restaurant were attentive and friendly, making the dining experience even more enjoyable.
I also have to mention the cleanliness of the hotel, which was impeccable throughout. The staff was always around to assist, and their knowledge of English made everything seamless. The entire experience was incredibly relaxing, and I truly felt like I was in the best hands. Highly recommend this hotel if you're ever in Sorrento—definitely a five-star experience!

Amazing hotel with stunning views over Sorrento! Service was excellent and wifi was fast. The rooms are spacious and for the price we paid it was fantastic value! We stayed there for 3 nights and wish we could have been there longer. Only complaint is the pool is cold water only!
Also cause it’s out of town they provide shuttle bus for free until very late til 11pm which is awesome.

Our recent stay at the Grand Hotel President on the outskirts of Sorrento was a very pleasant experience. The hotel is very well appointed and Antonio and his team were charming and professional. There is a good choice of food with three course options in the evening. The room was spacious, comfortable, well furnished and cleaned daily to a very high standard by housekeeper Maria Grazie. The hotel is situated on the cliffs above Sorrento but there is an hourly shuttle bus service into town that takes about 15 minutes, or a paved footpath for the more energetic guests! We are looking forward to the next visit.

Just spent a fabulous week here with two girlfriends, the room, though tired, was amply big enough for the three of us, the beds were comfortable and the views were spectacular.
We went half board, there was an excellent choice of food, the portions are huge, especially the starters and we never had a bad meal, great selection at breakfast with the lightest omelette I’ve ever eaten.I reckon I’ve come back 4 stone heavier!!
As for the staff, you couldn’t ask for better, SO friendly and obliging.

Just got home from a 4 night stay at Hotel Grand President with my husband Carlo, and I cannot say enough great things about this place!
The staff is amazing. The team at the front desk, the restaurant, were all so attentive and willing to go the extra mile to make your experience perfect.
There is a shuttle that comes every hour, all day, that brings you down to the city centre. It’s super convenient and always on time. There is another shuttle that comes every hour to bring guests back to the hotel too.
The food … was amazing. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel and have no complaints! Worth staying at the hotel to eat dinner at least once to experience the food.
We spent some time at the spa as well and had a lovely experience. The team went the extra mile to ensure we were relaxed.
The rooms are great. We had a sea view room and the views were incredible.
Overall, I would recommend staying here for sure!

Nice hotel but I wish we were made aware somehow that the included spa services such as the jacuzzi & hot tub were closed. Of course, the pay services are still open like massage & Turkish bath but not cheap. Good views.

Not in walking distance of town - free shuttle bus every hour until 10:50 at night. Taxi costs €30 to the town from hotel.
The ‘complimentary’ water replenished in your mini fridge every day is not free.
There is a daily charge of €3pp per day at the end of the trip when checking out.

There is no better view of Sorrento than from The Grand Hotel President. Take your pick from from the solarium, the lobby bar, the dining hall, the pool, the grass field, or half of the rooms to take in the majestic sight that is Sorrento. The staff are attentive, help you book tours quickly, and your room is cleaned daily. Anyone who complains about the breakfast is someone who is looking for the wrong meal (pastries, eggs, bacon, sausages, beans, toast, various breads, meats, fruits, coffee, tea, and juice). The shuttle into town is constantly on time. Even if everything else was terrible (which it isn't), it would be worth staying here just for the view.

Just checked out from this hotel...
It is an excellent base for a Sorrento/Amalfi Coast trip. The hotel is incredibly comfortable on every level, the team are kind and helpful, whilst the views from the terrace/breakfast room and pool (not to mention some hotel rooms) are to die for.
The hotel itself is around a 20-minute walk downhill to Sorrento but the regular shuttle bus is very helpful and drops you right in the heart of town.
Can’t wait to visit this part of the world again and would definitely stay here.

Overall a very good experience!
I'd rate this place a 4,5 stars. View over town is second to none, staff is super friendly, rooms are clean and the ocean view rooms have amazing views as well. Overall price/value ratio is very good.
However! With a few improvements this could be the best hotel I've ever stayed at. I'll list it here.
1. The hotel interior design feels a bit outdated/old school (likely the priciest thing to improve for them, but also the one with the biggest impact)
2. The lighting is a bit too bright in the evening - simply dimming the lights and maybe having some candles in the restaurant and lounge area in the evening would do wonders
3. The shuttle service was so helpful! However, in peak hours, they should consider running two per hour - there was one evening where the last shuttle was crazy cramped with people going to the hotel
4. The bread at breakfast is a bit dry (small thing, yes - but a thing nonetheless)
5. The safe in the room was quite small. Couldn't fit a small Macbook
