Super convenient location and wonderfully helpful staff (Marianna is so lovely and went out of her way to get me a deal on a transfer to Napoli). The rooftop has amazing views of the sea, sunset and Vesuvius and the rooftop bar/restaurant is good. The gardens on premise are beautiful as well. Room was comfortable and well acquainted. Would definitely stay again!

Number one recommendation for this place is Maria at the pool bar. She was friendly and efficient and just made us feel at home. We were annoyed as the hotel was petty enough to not offer us a wine opener when we asked for one and considering we had a great Borola it was small minded. Maria saves this hotel from a big raspberry rating. Her manager is a douce though when I said she was awesome he said maybe some times. Wow. She knew her cocktails and added some of ingredients and knew her stuff, shame on you bar manager maybe she deserves your job. It is a quick walk to central spots and the view from the pool is amazing.

The hotel is clean and ideally located in the center, which are definite positives. However, my experience with extending our stay was quite frustrating. After a long flight, I approached the front desk to request an extra day because we were all exhausted. Initially, one staff member informed us there were no rooms available, which was surprising. I checked the hotel's website myself and found available rooms, so I went back to show her. She then acknowledged the availability but made the process unnecessarily complicated.
She told us that to extend our stay, we had to check out at 11 AM and could only check back in at 2 PM, which was a huge inconvenience for our large group, including seniors and a child. I felt like we were being pushed around and not valued as guests. The next morning, when we were all stressed about how to manage the transition, she suddenly mentioned that all rooms were ready and available, contradicting her earlier statement.
This whole situation showed a lack of honesty and support from the beginning. It made our stay much more stressful than it should have been. I've traveled a lot and have never encountered such a disorganized approach. However, not all the staff were like this; others were helpful. Despite the great location and cleanliness of the hotel, my experience with this particular staff member really impacted our overall experience negatively.

Breakfast only good thing. Wouldn't give us 2 keys! No eminities. No coffee in room. Was TOLD CANT EAT IN ROOM! No tissues. Little container of shampoo/body wash. I wouldn't come here again.

Highly advise staying here. Concierge service starts you off w excellence. Friendly greeting on every return, no matter the time of day, helpful, well spoken w English language, all around very nice front desk service. Housekeeping was spot on everyday(tip these folks please!) The entire building inside & out nicely kept. Room was spacious, clean, had a mini fridge (stocked $$), & a safe. King size bed, comfortable & looked to be a pull out(if needed). Small patio overlooking garden area & on corner of very busy street, but noise w door closed was not an issue for me. Super easy walk to close by square of shopping, eating & merriment!! Would certainly stay here again!!

We stayed in the Grand Hotel Cesare Augusto for 4 nights at the beginning of May. We had such a wonderful time. All the staff from front of desk, the bar staff, the staff looking after us for breakfast and the lovely lady who looked after our room every day, were so lovely. We would highly recommend this hotel if you are going to stay in Sorrento. It is so close to everything. The rooftop bar is an extra bonus :-) The views from the rooftop are beautiful. We will definitely stay in this hotel when we return to Sorrento :-)

Great hotel, for private guests and groups, good food! Large numbers. Everything was very clean and the staff was always very friendly. The center is just a few minutes walk. 1/4 hour to port. From here you can drive to the island of Capri or take a bus to the Amalfi Coast.

Excellent location of a historic hotel in Sorrento. New management for 4 years... Friendly and knowledgeable staff, good restaurant. Spacious rooms, all renovated bathrooms, extremely clean! Swimming pool and roof garden. Recommended!
