Extremely convenient location (but no car park - you can park at one of the free car parks about 10 mins walk). Beautiful room and charming staff. The spa and massage sessions were solid. The rooftop bar was nice and inexpensive. One criticism: The breakfast was a little average and the coffee was absolutely appalling. Great 5 night stay. We used the spa and indoor pool daily and the grounds and outdoor heated pool are simply fabulous. You need to book the spa but it is included for guests not charged extra like some hotels. The breakfast was very, very good. The staff at this hotel are truly outstanding and really represent the very best in guest focussed hospitality.

The Phoencia is a wonderful hotel. All of the staff are courteous, efficient and friendly, and they all seem happy in their work. The rooms are spotless and the restaurant is excellent. A special mention to the restaurant breakfast staff who work very hard and were very busy on Sunday, but made the time to clear a prepare a table in the conservatory.

Malta is a very special place in the world for me. This hotel is perfectly situated on the very edge of the shore, in the face of the ultimate blue Mediterranean sea. 

We stayed for 3 nights; the hotel is ideally situated near the seafront & St George’s Sq (3 minutes walk to either). We stayed here over a long weekend, it was a pleasant experience, the hotel is in the old city center of Valletta, near all the main spots, including the Gozo fast ferry terminal. Amazing hotel in Valletta. It’s very clean and the rooms are a good size. Location is perfect. The hotel managers Katya and Jitka are friendly and so lovely. A little bit disappointed about the location, because even if close to valleta, in the evening we didn't found a restaurant nearby, jist some Asian food. But the room and personnel were really nice. They have a small dinner on the roof top and a small jacuzzi.

We spent 3 nights in Chapter 5. The location is 10 mins distance with bus from the center of Valetta and 30 mins walking distance to center of Silema. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable and air condition was working perfectly in such hot weather. Access to the roof top which includes a free jacuzzi. The building shows its old grandeur from the outside snd in the stairwell which were still having the old marble tiling. The furniture matched the „old style“ in its dark wooden appearance but, unfortunately, all furniture showed its age due stains and damages that are not taken care of. The location of the hotel was ideal for exploring Valletta with everything you want to see within walking distance. However, the hotel itself is dated and a little rundown. It could do with some major investment. The facilities on offer were very basic and that applies to the breakfast. The staff are friendly and try to be helpful but the condition of the hotel tarnishes everything else.

situated in Ursula Street which is already a Touristic attraction. Merisi Suites has lots of apartments, some with a really nice balcony. There is an elevator, a washing machine which is free of charge, a swimming pool with a fantastic view. The apartments have Airconditioning and are fully equipped kitchen. Very clean and Organized. Very very good location but the place was not great. Room we got was on a ground floor. It didn’t have any view or direct sunlight. There was a mold/ watery/ moist smell in the apartment and the shower was broken so they just put the shower courtliness which I hate and it made entire bathroom wet. I would only recommend it if you care about location but not about place you sleep in.

Amazing location, delicious and varied breakfast, gorgeous rooms and common areas. The only downside is that it's a bit noisy, which is to be expected given that it is in the city center.

The view from the 3rd floor looking over the 3 cities harbor and St. Angelo fortress from a tiny balcony was truly romantic and unbeatable. The room size was alright for the little time we spent inside, however the room ambient and design was really top. The staff was friendly, relaxed and never missed a smile. Nice little hotel. Very small rooms. You need to go for breakfast to "main" Luciano just few minutes away. Breakfast is NOT buffet style. You have two options to choose from, continental and British. Good coffee and freshly squeezed juice. Recommended.

The Luciano al Porto is well situated in the heart of Valletta. The room with harbor view really offers a breath-taking view. Staff was friendly but there is no reception, access comes with a code wich is OK as well. The house is being refurbished so the breakfast is not at the hotel but at a restaurant run by the same owner. That's not bad per se but it should be noted before booking.

The breakfast is small but has everything you need and it’s delicious. The staff is super friendly and helpful, they knew our names and that was absolutely amazing. I just came back from my stay in Valetta! The location of this hotel was very good, also beautiful view from the rooftop. The room was also very clean and spacious. Big thank you to Shaun at the reception who was super friendly and helped us figuring out what to do in such a short time (1 day). Fantastic location staff very friendly spotless .I've never seen a hotel polishing elevators before. How this is only a two star hotel beats me I've stayed in 3 and 4 stars that were not as nice as this hotel. Was in 6th floor duel aspect windows so view of harbour and view of city. Out if this world room and service. Cannot recommend it highly enough. The Jacuzzi was a god send after the long flight. The room was comfortable, cozy, clean and modern. Wonderful panoramic view. Staff very accommodating and enjoyed stopping off for a coffee or two between work meetings. I didn't stay at the hotel so I cannot comment on that aspect.

Great location but the single room I stayed in was very basic and a bit grungy. However, the ensuite had it's own water heater, so I never had any problems with the water unlike other guests in more expensive suites.

For location, this gets a 10/10. It is legit right next to Upper Barrakka Gardens in Valletta where you can see amazing sunrises and sunsets (in November, at least; not sure about the rest of the year). Ferries depart at the bottom of the Barrakk Gardens's elevator so if you take any ferry, like to Gozo or Three Cities, it's super convenient. An amazing apartment overlooking Upper Barraka Gardens. Such a fantastic location to walk around Valletta. The apartment was very comfortable and quiet and the host was responsive. The small hotel with few apartments was in an abolutely fine location - just inside the old city and next to peacefull upper barrak gartens. Room with an OK interior - a bit old / outdated but fully functional. An issue was handled within hours - fine. Bathroom fine and the large bed really good. Internet connection super.

Super Good Location and Very Clean Apartment

Everything was really well organised whilst at Basecamp, a great place to explore Malta from. The pool was great for the kids (and adults) to let off steam and build friendships whilst only a 10-15 minute walk from St Georges or the supermarket (Greens). Janice and team were superb hosts, thanks for looking after us and making the holiday special.

Stayed here with a group of eighteen people. The house is beautiful and clean, I shared a room with my son, with our own shower and toilet. Janice is a great hostess, house keeper, sensitive attentive, caring & flexible! Accommodation is perfect. Food could be a bit more varied with more salad options at dinner but some very tasty meals.

The hotel is located close to upper part of the Island with nice view to Sliema bay. The rooms are clean, but the fridge is paied extra. The breakfast is simple, without warm meals. Be careful, the rooms are equipped with English type socket. The swimming pool is nice.

The hotel is in a suburban area, but not far away there are very cheap businesses to buy food and rent scooters. Within 15 minutes by scooter you can be in St Julian's, Sliema or Valletta. The staff is nice, the room was big and clean. The swimming pool is not very big, but enough to relax. Good value for money.

Super nice hotel and very clean it feels like home. Chiara and Nick are very friendly hosts. Super close to the tal pieta bus station which will take you everywhere. close to Valletta doable on foot (despite the climbs lol). I highly recommend. Great and quiet hotel very close to city center Great hotel in Valletta outside of the bustling city center. I visited in May and things were already getting pretty crowded. It is an easy 5 min walk to the city gates.
