Domus Mater in Krakow

A very neat and clean hotel that is the repurposed Polish Priests of the Sacred Heart monastery. The rooms are simple with well planned bathrooms. The staff is very polite and helpful. Each floor is decorated with tasteful antique furniture and one floor has a mini museum dedicated to Pope John Paul II and Cardinal Stanislaw Nagy. The garden is beautiful and peaceful. This is a Holy place.

A very good place to stay in Krakow. Though not in the city center, it is well connected with mass transportation. Parking on-site. A very affordable and nice alternative, which I would highly recommend. Good for singles, couples or small groups.
DM is a great place to have a small conference or a banquet. Friendly staff, especially the manager and the staff at the front desk, which is open 24/7. They even offer an efficient laundry service.

I have organized 5 or 6 European conferences at the Domus Mater over the last years, usually during the springtime. The location is very good, close to mass transportation and with on-site parking. There are a couple small convenience stores very close. Easy to arrive from the main station and quick access to Krakow center. Very pleasant and competent staff - many speak English well. The manager, Aleksander, is very kind, easy to work with and attentive to all our needs. The entire facility is very clean, including the sleeping rooms, conference rooms and the restaurant. They offer single and double rooms en suite and also some small apartments that can accommodate families. Sleeping rooms facing the large inner courtyard are very quiet. The restaurant food is good and tasty, lots to choose from. The breakfast buffet has a very good assortment which will satisfy almost anyone. We have also organized several banquets there and these were always organized very well with delicious food. It is a very pleasant place to stay and I can highly recommend it for conferences or tourists. A very good option with affordable prices.

Welcoming, clean and comfortable hotel. Meeting room was excellent with refreshments served on time with delicious biscuits. Meals were good. Would recommend Domus Mater, it's very near a tram stop although the taxis were very cheap and convenient to use.

The rooms are clean and comfortable. The location is easy to get to public transportation or call a taxi or ride share.

Great place to stay. It is a Catholic hotel situated in a monastery. There is a chapel for prayer and Mass inside the building, and a parish church attached to the building. It hosts Mass at 7am and 6pm on weekdays.

I came here to spend some time in fasting and prayer and it was the ideal place.

If you are not Christian, please consider if this hotel is appropriate for you. You might not enjoy it.

I was delighted by the service in the hotel. All staff were very nice and smily..no problem if you ask for some extra services. I left my laptop in the hotel and they organised delivery in other long distance hotel which was very importan to me. Also very special chapel in the hotel..

The location for the hotel was great. The rooms were clean and the staff was extremely nice. The breakfast was very good. My only complaint is the beds. They were terrible. I have went camping and slept on ground that was softer then these beds. I'm not joking about the beds....hard as a rock.

It is a peaceful place to stay. Rooms are nice and clean. The staff is very helpful. Breakfast is very good; there is always coffee, bread, eggs and cheese, and local foods. There are several tram lines nearby, as well as mini-markets. Krakow is a wonderful city; if you visit, consider staying at this hotel and don't miss out on visiting the chapel and the garden.
