Hotel Mikołaj

Great interiors, gorgeous and delicious breakfast, very kind personnel, convenient position in the old city (stare miasto) of Krakow, cheap rates (around 200 zloty/50€ a night in single room). However, my room was unbelievably small, especially the bathroom, the desk was nice looking but unfortunately it had a depth insufficient to hold a notebook. The room hadn't real windows but two small apertures, near the ceiling, that one can cover, operating a mechanism from below, to avoid most (but not all) of light come in, early in the morning. Moreover, these apertures weren't isolating from outside sounds at all, so, given that Mikolajska is a crowded street even during the night, I couldn't sleep up to 4:00 in the morning. Not an ideal rest...
