Sheraton Grand Krakow

I’m deeply disappointed with the sales team at this hotel. We planned to stay for 3 nights with our teenage son, but they insisted on charging £40 per night for a sofa bed. I asked if they could waive or reduce the fee, but the response was a firm "no." Naturally, I chose to book elsewhere.

It’s not that I expect things for free since we are paying full price for the room. but their inflexible attitude really bothered me. As a business that relies on guests checking in, I was surprised they showed no willingness to negotiate. When I informed them we would take our booking elsewhere, I received complete radio silence. It seems the sales team doesn’t care if the hotel loses revenue, as long as they stick rigidly to their pricing policy. What’s even more frustrating is that there were plenty of rooms available for the dates we were looking at. It seems they’d rather have no income at all than offer a small discount to secure a booking.

We were prepared to pay full price for 3 nights, and likely would have spent more on drinks and meals. All they needed to consider was waiving or discounting the extra bed charge—something that wouldn’t have cost them anything if they rented the room to two guests instead for those nights.

Unfortunately, this experience made us feel undervalued as potential guests. We’ve chosen to book elsewhere, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel based on this interaction.
